What will be Obama's legacy?

His policies?

Being the first black president

what is it that will make him be remembered, will he be remembered?

I remember Bill Clinton, I remember Regan, I remember Bush Jnr

But Obama? what will you remember?

The first us president in about 30 years that wasnt a braindead moron.

Well of course in history he will be known as the first black president, but I think about him a lot more than that. I think of him as the man that took presidency during a time when the economy was not doing so well. I think of him as the man that was able to kill Osama Bin Laden after the previous president wasn't able to in eight years. I think of him as the man willing to end wars rather than continuing to promote killing of our troops.

He's been taking a lot of crap. But I think he is one of the better presidents of America.

Not happy with Obama one bit. Health insurance should not be made mandatory, and it (Obamacare) is being challenged. Obama also bailed out the auto industry when it should have accepted bankruptcy like any other business. Obama was not responsible for the death of Osama bin Laden; Obama was merely in office when the inevitable finally came.

I am not going to forget Obama, because I have no ability to do so.

thenumberone : I do not have any opinion on Bush and his administration because I did not know much about politics back then and still do not know much about what Bush did in the first place. Even if Obama made the important changes that lead to bin Laden's death, it does not change my stance on Obama one bit.

well bush is another story and i could go on all day about him (negatively) but the only things Obama did that other presidents wouldnt have is allow gays to serve freely in the military and to make healthcare better.I dont agree with the making it compulsary to buy insurance part, but many factors of it are good, like forcing insurance companys to ooffer decent rates to people with weak hearts etc.

Obama really didn't do that much in his presidency to be honest. Yeah, he announced that Bin Laden is officially dead, he was the first Black President, but what else? America's recession is getting worse.

I'll give him credit though. He's not an idiot, so I can respect his knowledge.

thenumberone : In one sense it does sound fair to require lower insurance premiums for all people, but at the same time that means more financial strain on the company itself. That in turn could mean higher premiums and reduced coverage for others. I know this sounds rather cruel towards those in need, but there are already plans for helping them. We have welfare to assist people with their financial needs such as obtaining healthy food and other necessities. Unfortunately there are plenty of people who go an abuse the system, and this becomes a loss for everyone --both those involved and those who are not.

I think thats why Obama made it copulsory, to force more revenue into the companys, ensuring that the effect of higher potential cases would not make them go bust.
Thats unlikely anyway, those companys make a mint.
As for systems in place, they really dont work, i mean in the usa you can get (relatively) healthy people living in storm drains, i mean, wtf?

I think Obama's legacy will be being the first African American president, more than tripling our national dept, finishing up the War In Iraq, Osama being taken out, finally, and also having two little girls living ing hte white house. I wonder what the slumber parties are like... Laughing Out Loud.

I think his legacy will be that he promised way too many things that he knew he wouldn't be able to deliver on them all. I'm not saying whether I like him as president, or not, I'm just saying that he wasn't able to accomplish the majority of the things that he was promising to everyone during his campaign

Obama will be remembered as the most sane person to run for president in modern times thanks to the GOP circus that is in town. Wasn't it the republicans who wanted to shut down government cause they couldn't agree with Obama? That is just one of the many reasons why I will remember Obama as a tame politician and not overboard wacko like some of these other guys.

I swear some of his "competition" are beyond mental... put a fascist dictator like Santrorum or Ron Paul in there and it could be much worse then any Obama term. People who want to kill an entire industry or end the fed and kill all financial support for those in need should never be elected to office.

For 8 years bush could not find waldo, he had him pinned down with delta force but someone gave the order to stand down. Whether the whole Obama / Osama seal raid was faked or not it doesn't matter cause we at least made closure and don't have to hear about Osama daily.

I can say he is bad, he is a muslim, he was born in keyna etc... but I'm positive it can always be worse especially if it was McCain in office who humps military and wars for a living.
