So which one brought more tears to the viewing do you think..and why. If you think it may have been a tie..justify it.

I won't vote since I haven't seen The Legend of Lobo, but I will say Old Yeller was really freakin' sad, and it would take a pretty sad movie to beat it.

What about My Dog Skip, though? That was super sad as well. I don't remember much of it, but I cried just as hard as with Old Yeller.

Yea...Lobo is rather old....don't think it was ever remade after Beta went out of business...

I haven't seen My Dog Skip...but if it is anything like Buddy...you probably have something going there...granted I've never seen Buddy either...I was just told what the ending was..and that was enough for me...

I haven't seen Buddy, nor have I heard of it. So I guess we're even? The last time I saw Old Yeller was aaaaages ago. I bet it'd still make me bawl like it's nobody's business though. It's so much easier for me to see a person get maimed or killed in a movie than an animal. Is that crazy? Haha.

Of those two, Old Yeller wins, hands down. I think it is because it touches more people on a personal level. Sure, Adventure of Lobo had a lot of sad moments with what happens to his family through the movie and all (won't say what so as not to spoil it for anyone who decides to watch it). But in the end, but you can only relate to it so much. With Old Yeller, it really reaches out to the connection people have with their pets. Anyone who has a pet that they have a connection with knows what I am talking about. There is something between the connection between a person and their loved pet that is different from any connection with another human being. What Travis had to do was something that no person with that connection with their pet could ever imagine having to do, and the thought is the most tragically heart breaking thing.

Well, I've never actually seen Lobo. But My teacher did show the class Old Yeller one day when we had nothing to do. I actually did shed one single tear, but the fact that it did make me shed a tear is an achievement.

So I vote Old Yeller. At least until I see Lobo.

Even though I have never seen Lobo, I would have to say Old Yeller wins this hands down. I know a large number of people who openly refuse to ever watch Old Yeller in it's entirety because of the heartbreaking ending.

As an interesting note, a lot of those same people also refuse to watch Marley & Me. Perhaps it is becoming this generation's Old Yeller?

I haven't seen The Legend of Lobo, and I didn't cry when I watched Old Yeller, so I'll go with neither.
