Very simple, what would your ideal party of four be? It can include any characters, not just the good guys.
Mine:
1. Sephiroth (original version, ff7)
2. Cecil (paladin form, ff4 in Japan and re releases, ff2 originally)
3. Lightning (ff13)
4. Sora (kh2)

This is actually a tough one.  I had to think about this for a few minutes, but I came up with a pretty cool party.  I wish I could get these four together.

Auron from Final Fantasy 10 for muscle.
Zidane from Final Fantasy 9 for speed and the ability to steal.
Yuffie from Final Fantasy 7 for her ranged weapon and her materia for summons and black magic.
Eiko from Final Fantasy 9 for her awesome healing magic.

This took a lot of thinking.
1- Sage, From FF III (Japanese)
Reason- Unmatched in Both White and Black magic. Has a cool outfit and can use the best staff in the game. Overall, my favorite spell-caster.

2 and 3 - Porom and Palom, from FF IV (Japanese)
Reason- More healing and burning. Twin cast will put the hurt on the bosses.

I know, lots of magic, but this last character should make up for it...

4- Galuf
A great all-around melee character. Can switch to all melee jobs, giving him lots of options in battle.

I think this group could stand up to lots of monsters, personally, but who knows...
