I admit I have faked being sick a couple times in elementary and middle school, but not high school. I'm actually interested in certain classes and plus my friends would be alone if I skipped the classes I didn't like XD

    I did not go
to school for three years,
to be in depletion.

I either missed the bus or pretended to be sick. total it all up in my school life all the times i did those things and missed a school day equall to 29.

I never skip school because I know what my older siblings and parents would do if they found out I skip school on purpose.

I sometimes skipped school to just stay home and play games or my parents sometimes decided for me to not go to school and lie to my teachers saying that I was really sick.

No, but i thought about it plenty of times, my school is so concerned about us going to school that if i miss a day they will call home and ask my parents if they know i missed school that day.

No. Never have and Never will.  Your parents are held responsible for you to be in school.  It is not worth my time skipping if my parents are going to be blamed.

I NEVER skipped school.  When I as in high school, my parents were crazy strict.  I we had ever done anything like skip school, my parents WOULD have figured it out, and I WOULD have been killed, buried in the back yard, dug up, and killed/buried/dug up infinitely.  LOL

Nowadays though, it seems as though most kids don't view it as that big of a deal.

I have skipped school a few times, either because I slept in on accident, or when I was in college because I wanted to sleep or just didn't want to go to class.  I guess you could say I had a lazy streak at times

No i have never skipped school before. Me and my cousins were about to but we had my brother in the car so we had to take him to school and ended up getting caught trying to leave campus.

As a student, I've never skipped school. My parents would have buried me alive more than once.
However, as a teacher, I have called out a few times when I was feeling overwhelmed. I also had a very unsupportive principal however, which caused me tons of undue stress.

The only time I've skipped school was when I was had to take the Algebra Finals and I thought I didn't get any sleep the night before. For some reason, no one told me to make it up afterwards and when everyone got their finals or whatever back and I got nothing.

Since that post I've not really skipped any school at all. I suppose that's because I mostly did online classes though. Any other class I had, was literally only 75 minutes to maybe 2 hours at school and I could just head right home.

Two years ago I for some reason turned into a really lazy bum for almost exactly a year, so I ended up skipping school more than actually visiting it.
I somehow managed to proceed to grade 11 anyway, but chose to redo the year anyway, because I knew I missed too much to not fail the next year.

The year after that went a lot better, and I didn't skip school once this year at all, yay.

In middle school, I used to fake being sick a lot, mainly because middle school was the most miserable school time ever. The closest to skipping I had done for that though was those times when we were supposed to report to homeroom at the end of the day, and I just said screw that and left.

In high school, I did fake sickness a little bit, but this is where I actually cut classes and left school. I never could completely skip school, but getting away with just leaving in the middle of the day was surprisingly easy. My first class I ever skipped was Biology because it was dissection day, and I did not want to do it.

A few days before it, I made a plan to skip this class, and mapped out where I could escape. That was when I found an exit down a LONG hallway with no class rooms in it. There would be less eyes and chances for me to get caught. The only problem was there was no cover in case someone looks down there; one look and someone could see a person trying to head out the door. Still, I chose it and after the class before Biology ended, I went to my locker, took just a few books that I knew I needed to bring home for homework (could not take the backpack; too obvious) and walked towards that hallway. As soon as I made it there I walked as fast as I could without making too much noise and bolted out the door. I started to head home, but we had security in front of the school, so I had to take a long way home.

Funny thing, when I got home, I was surprised by my sister coming home from a class at college. I literally hid behind my door until she left, which felt like forever, but may have been more like 10 minutes. After that, I was free! The next time I had biology, my teacher asked where I was that day. I told her I went home sick, but she did not see it on her "went home sick" list, but then figured they made a mistake and I was safe. I also cut Gym once because it was going to be a do-nothing day and was my last class of the day, and an English class which I was SORT OF caught, but not punished because the teacher had no proof.

I skipped school a few times by missing the BUS because I just want a Day off from school , but for me to  fake sickness it will have to be a miracle that is why I never fake sickness. Great Post.
