(IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED PORTAL 2 DO NOT READ THIS)

Okay, so I wanted to tell you guys my idea for the next Portal game. Similar to the new Half-Life game, its in an episodic format. There will be 3 episodes of Portal 3.

PORTAL 3 EPISODE ONE: BACK TO BASICS

In this episode, you see Chell, in the same farm area that the game left off in. Although she's so skinny her tattered clothes dont fit anymore, and her super-long hair is gray. She's been stuck in the farm for awhile. Shes found a river, so there has been water. But she's probably going to die very soon. She hasn't found a way out of the maze of wheat. Then, Wheatley crashes through the ceiling. You may be thinking, "Ceiling? She's outside, idiot!" But you find out that you're actually still in Aperture Science, you've been put on a simulated farm where they have put together the right conditions for harvesting crops as an experiment. Wheatley apologizes, and shows you how to get out of the simulated farm to show you he's turned over a new leaf.

When they get out, GLaDOS greets them. GLaDOS refuses to explain why she didn't just kill Chell or let her go for real. But she does explain there are a couple people who want to meet her, and she opens an elevator for Chell to ride on to these supposed people. She follows along, confused, all the while Wheatley trying to convince her to leave. Chell finds a portal gun in the next chamber, that she uses to finish all of the puzzles in the episode and when she gets to the final room, for a brief few seconds you see a man and a woman, supposedly Chell's parents. But then, GLaDOS whisks them off to a different place. GLaDOS explains to Chell that she needs to do just "a few more tests" and then she can leave and her parents can live with her again. Dramatically, Chell breaks her silence and answers with the word "yes". Thats the end of this episode.

PORTAL 3 EPISODE TWO: SIZE MATTERS

GLaDOS explains to Chell that theres a new type of Portal gun. A size-altering portal gun. This gun allows you to shoot big green/purple portals, and small green/purple portals. If you go through a big green portal and come out through a small purple portal- you yourself, become small. If there is a small button that can only be activated by small cubes, you put a cube through this big green portal and out of the purple portal, becomes a small cube that you use to press the button.

This is the gun you use for the rest of the game, using it to test with mobility gels and whatnot. GLaDOS keeps teasing you about the "surprise your going to get at the end of the chambers" and then, at one chamber, GLaDOS tells you that the next one is the last one and your going to get your surprise. But when you get there, it's just the cake thats been promised since Portal One. GLaDOS says something along the lines of "See? I just said there was a surprise. I never said it was going to be related to your parents. You wanted to see your parents, didn't you? Don't worry. They're in the next room." but the next room just reveals a strange-looking new portal gun.

PORTAL 3 EPISODE THREE: THE MORE THE MERRIER

GLaDOS apologizes for lying again, and says "to be fair you have tried to kill me two times now. I think we're even." and she explains to you how this new portal gun works. You can make four portals with this. Lets say you use your orange/blue portals to redirect a laser onto a laser receptor. Now, you need to keep your portals there to make sure the laser receptor stays activated. So, you use your other pair of portals to get somewhere else. This allows for much more complicated puzzles.

Inevitably, at the end, you meet your parents and leave Aperture for good. This is probably where the franchise should end.

Similar to Half Life? Dang. That means Portal 3 will never come out. Ever.

I personally think it's a bad idea, and here's why.

For one- The game Portal is not meant to be so overly complicated to include more types of portals. Adding the 4 new portals you suggested would make the game more complex, and get rid of a good deal of the games fans.

For two- Chell is meant never to speak. Ever. Even if she speaks once, the thing is ruined. Similar to with Gordon Freeman (since you made the half life comparison)

For three- If they make a Portal 3, it SHOULD be with a new protaganist. Chell ran her dues. And at the end of 2, we finally got to leave Aperture. The fans of the series like this ending, so why not let them stay happy? It would alienate the audience to say, "Just kidding. You are still in Aperture!"

For four- GLaDOS seems to have turned a new leaf, and is using robots for experiments. As much as she detests using them, she got a whole ton of new test subjects from the vault at the end of co-op. Why would she need Chell, when she literally has THOUSANDS of new ones?

In general, it's an interesting take, but I pray Valve isn't taking this route, because Portal 3 will come to be known as the game that said "f*** you" to the fans.

EmosewaRepus : Fan-fiction....

Very complex game... like Super Paper Mario .

"Chell breaks her silence and answers with the word "yes". Thats the end of this episode." The reason Chell doesn't talk is either because she is mute or she does not want to give GLaDOs and Whealty satisfaction from her response.

Portal 3 Ep3 = Single Player "Co-op" .

I read your story...it's not bad but it does not pass (4/10).
Good attempt of a Fan-fiction to explain what happens after Portal 2 though. Chell left on a Wheat field all alone with no idea what to do is almost GLaDOS' way of appearing nice to give freedom but what GLaDOS really did is let Chell die...slowly...
