Three incredible looking Wii games, The Last Story (my profile pic is concept art from that game), Xenoblade, and Pandora's Tower, are currently released in Japan. However, none of them are released here in the States. It seems that I wasn't the only one who was annoyed by this because Operation Rainfall, a movement started by Wii owners, have decided to take matters into their own hands by flooding the Nintendo consumer support and Facebook pages with requests on the three games being localized to the US. The preorder Amazon page for Xenoblade (named Monado: Beginning of the World since that was its title announced here), has reached the top of the preorder list at number 1 in a matter of days.

It seems like it's actually working by the looks of the things, as companies Monolith Soft and Mistwalker for games Xenoblade and the Last Story, respectively, have commented optimistically on the enthusiastic campaign and Nintendo of America has confirmed that they will release a statement about the state of these games sometime soon.
It baffles me how all these people came together to request the release of these games, and how they actually had a voice in what should be released here. I feel sort of bad not contributing to the movement since I don't really have much spending money to preorder Xenoblade and such, but I will be forever grateful if it's successful.

EDIT: It seems that the effort has been unsuccessful as NOA has claimed that they have no plans to release them here. I can't believe the nerve of them to do that when Wii U is coming around the corner and yet they would still disappoint some of their most loyal fans. Xenoblade has already been under localization for NOE (Last Story also is rumored to be released in Europe), so that isn't the problem. I suppose they don't see any profit in investing these three games to the Americas even though now I constantly see people claiming they won't support Nintendo anymore.

Wow, that's incredible. It just goes to show that even the consumers make a huge difference in the gaming world. I only wish they did the same thing when it came to the Mother series.

Wow, moving these "Missing Wii Games" to the states definitely is a great idea, can't wait for these to arrive.

I am proud of my self mainly because I was one of the first members. I had wanted these games and when I heard that there was no plan to release these great looking games in the U.S. I was out raged. I hope that the big N does not Screw things up by not releaseing these great games. Mainly because scyward sword is the only wii game that looks good for the next twelve months.

Much like the well known petition/ whatever to get Kingdom hearts Final Mix to US there are other popular series that people want to get a US release, like the Yakuza series, the last 2 only made it here due to dedicated & loyal fans of the series on PS2 got SEGA to do it.
