Finally!!! Halo 4 is coming!!! I am a huge Halo fan, so this is really not a surprise to me. But, for those who want to  see the trailer, it is in this link.

YAY! But why are they making a Halo 4? I thought the last one was literally the last one... But I don't care, more Halos game, ftw!

If it turns out to be good, yay for the people who get it. I'm still confused as to why a series that the makers said ended is being continued...

I might think about picking it up. I've always wanted to play a Halo game.
And besides, 4 times the charm.

Finally! Halo has come back to the players!

They also announced that halo 4 is a part of a new trilogy. So halo 4,5, and 6! 4 wont be out till holidays 2012 tho also they anounced halo 1 remake using the reach engine

I believe what happened is that Bungie said that they are done making Halo games.  Halo 4 & the resulting trilogy are actually made by 343 Industries, a separate company (which I read there are some former Bungie employees working there).  They also said the game would contain "no purple" or maybe "less purple" because they said the previous games have been very "purple heavy".  I can't wait for the game.

Also, I'm curious to see if they introduce new species into the game.  There were actually no enemies shown in the teaser trailer, so I'm wondering if we see any Covenant at all, or perhaps a totally new species of enemy, or a mixture of the two.

Did anyone recognize the ship at the end of the trailer? I heard on a discussion on G4 after the trailer was shown at E3 at Microsoft's Press Conference that anyone who completed Halo 3 on legendary should recognize the ship at the end of the trailer.  I completed the game on legendary but absolutely can not remember anything about that ship (they said it would give some sort of hint to the next game I think).

ExiledPariah : Thank you very much; this was very informative. I have only completed the first, and that was on hard, and it only took a me a week, playing about 2 hours a day. I plan on getting the rest ASAP, but seeing how I'm not 18 and unfortunately in a uncanny situation right now, I'll have to wait until I'm out of that situation.
