Well I'm at my friends and they decided to leave thinking I was in the car (thank god I wasn't) and they got arrested just because their break light was off now Sams in jail and my other under aged friends are home free when they're the ones who were doing to stuff they were drinking and Sam wasn't I find it bullcrap I'm glad I didn't go or I'd be screwed

Being arrested for a light seems a little bit overzealous and unfair to me. But to be fair it can be difficult to tell when someone's had drinks, so maybe the cops didn't notice?

I got in trouble with the police once. Someone called the police on our number because we were making prank calls and laughing/screaming really hard at the same time. I guess they were either really p**sed at us or they thought we were in danger at a crazy party or something? I'm not sure.

Arrested for having a brake light off? sounds like they weren't in a good mood...

Ok here's the whole story Sam is 17, he didn't drink anything he cant hes diabetic but the other kids apparently were so they pretty much screwed him over with out him even knowing and they're home safe while hes in jail for something stupid. He's not responsible for their actions He didn't get the alcohol for them they got it from somewhere else they even admitted to that. I find it bulls*** that they won't own up to their actions

I've never been arrested, but i was picked up by the police once in front of a bunch of my friends. I was freaking out, but it turned out that my mom had just gone paranoid cuz my cell died. My friends still haven't let me forget about it.

About Sam, though; well, from all i've heard, it seems like you haven't lived until you've been screwed over by the police. Still, its really too bad what happened. Just be glad that your ok.

Wow your friend got arrested for a light that is crazy. your laws are harsh the max you would get out here is a ticket or a warning. I think it is unfair for him to be in jail if it wasn't him that did it and your friends should take the blame or get there parents too bail him out.

I pitched in 100 on his 200 dollar bail he's still in jail his parents dont pay much attention to him his girlfriend is hopefully going to pay the other 100 because I sure as hell don't have it

Getting arrested isn't that bad its definitely a little embarrassing. I've been arrested a few times for various things that will not be disclosed. The important thing is that you learn a lesson from it, and don't make the same mistake again.

I'm suspicious about this. First, I doubt any bail would be set at $200. Maybe you're thinking fines?

Second, there is no way anyone is getting arrested for a break light being out unless they were doing a lot of other things to get themselves in trouble. A cop pulled me over for a tail light that was out. This was basically the exchange.

"Sir, do you know why I pulled you over?"

"No, officer. I wasn't aware I was doing anything wrong."

"Your tail light on the left side is out. Get it fixed immediately."

"I will do that. Thank you for alerting me."

"Have a good night."

"You too, officer. Be safe."

That was it. No cop is going to arrest a kid for a busted tail light. They had other things going on and they're not telling the entire story. Underage drinking is handled differently then putting a kid in jail, too.

It just doesn't add up.

Dam that F'n sucks. Thats really cool of you to actually BE a friend unlike those other dudes; helping bail him out. Here cops are really, bad, it doesn't help that our state has a horrible budget deficit.

This is the story I know I wasn't actually there so I don't know the whole story this is stuff I heard from the people who were there is it entirely true I don't know but I'm going to believe Sam he's not a bad person in no way at all

I once got arrested for assault, not proud of it :| but the cops let me loose because I was only 14 at that time, so...

Cops can be sometimes as*holes, but sometimes they can be decent.

That is bullcrap...man. There must have been some other reason as to his arrest.

I don't know anyone that has been arrested that are my friends, which is a good thing to know if one of my friends got arrested, then I know that person is a bad influence.

Snowdeath : Cops are only human, so it really depends on the person. Some totally abuse their powers and are total jerks, sometimes even to the point of breaking serious laws themselves and getting away with it- or being a seriously terrible person in general. Most of the cops I have encountered seem very grumpy and bored, as if they were pulling people over just for the sake of it.

Annette : So true. Actually, while I was being arrested, I had 4 cops with me. One of them seemed abusive and grouchy, the other springy and calm, and the last two bored and annoyed. The abusive one was the one who shoved me into the car, lawl.
