Heya guys/gals

i was just wondering if anyone has any cool facts or tips about ff9 that not alot of people know. or just a generaly discussion about side bosses etc.

i have completed the game many times myself and have found that i have not really had much trouble with things in the game, but are there any big secrets built within the game?
i think the only boss i had trouble with is tanterian (forgive my spelling) because i got bored waiting on the right pages etc, is there any decent loot from him?
also did anyone else have much trouble with osma? (again forgive my spelling if its wrong.
i found a tactic myself that worked without the need of level grinding, which was getting an item that absobed shadow damage on all my characters and just used vivi with his double magic spell to cast doomsday repetedly and eventually killed him.

one last question i have is about excalibur 2, is it true that if you get to a certain point within memoria within 12hours that you can obtain this weapon? i have heard it is possible but could not see how it was.
any tips or new insite on this games would be appreshiated as i would love to know as much about the game itself as possible =D.
thanks in advance

If you have any serious questions about FF9 I would suggest visiting this site:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/197338-final-fantasy-ix/faqs

Pretty much any questions you have will be answered on this site.

As for a fun fact there is the Namingway card. It's a playing card that can only be obtained in two places on disk 3. You can either win it from Mario in the card tournament. Or you can pick it up at the Desert Palace/Sanctum before you approach Kuja. Once you have this card, you can bring it to a man in Daugerro and he will change the names of your characters. It's pretty cool.

There's also Hades. He's hidden behind the rock in the water section of Memoria. You walk behind the big rock and keep walking at the wall until you see an exclamation mark. Make sure you have two pumice pieces before you fight him. After you click the exclamation mark, Hades will attack. He should be a breeze if you've beaten Ozma. After you beat him he synthesizes the two pumice pieces into a pumice and that helps you summon the eidolon Ark*. He also synthesizes the Save the Queen sword and Cinna's Hammer. These items give you an extra scene at the end of the game.

You can find both of these things in greater detail at the link I gave you. Have fun.

*You may remember Ark as the giant ship monster you had to defeat to obtain the Guluug Stone. Yeah you get to summon him, but I will warn you, his opening sequence is obnoxiously long.
