So it seams like the Saturn might also be joining the Dreamcast on the PSN and XBL. I am not too excited about it but what do you guys think?

I think it's good to bring back retro games to the current market, the more the merrier. Am I missing something else here?

I love the Sega Saturn, some great memories on the system. Might not have as many good games as the Playstation but still holds a good library of fun games. Also has the best Bomberman game ever made, Saturn Bomberman (no other bomberman game comes close to this one).

As long as they pick the awesome Saturn games, I'd be more than willing to support Sega by buying a few Saturn ports, especially since they'll look far better with my Xbox 360 on my TV compared to playing the games on my TV with my Saturn.

I'm far from the biggest Sega fan in the world, but there was a game on the Saturn called Dragonforce that I'd really like to try. I remember by older brother playing it many moons ago, and I thought it looked really cool, but I didn't try it because I very rarely played games my brother rented for some weird reason. Plus I didn't have much of an attention span for playing strategy type games as a kid.

The chances of this being one of the games probably isn't too likely, but maybe if talk about it here it'll butterfly effect it's way into Online re-release world.

The Saturn had a few decent games (I mean it definately had more/better RPGs then their DC), but I dont think Sega themselves own the intellectual properties for any of them.
So while this might be a good thing, it might also be pointless...

I think it'll go really well.I had some good times on the Saturn like on alone in the dark and street fighter alpha but I agree with DH it could be pointless seeing as the dream-cast was only just announced for xbox live and PSN

I'm not saying it'll necessarily be successful or unsuccessful but, I think its a good idea. Never hurts to try something new! Contrary to popular belief...

Well on another note this might be bad if it contributes to the lack of innovation to video games.

I would love to see the rare saturn games that sell for such high amounts on auction sites become available. Number one on that list would be Panzer Dragoon Saga. That game had so few copies available at the end of the systems life that most people missed out on a great game.

I'm all about old school gaming, especially using emulation to "own" systems I coundn't afford growing up, and a lot of them are sega. Love sega CD and 32X cuz I wanted em so bad and couldn't have em, now I do, kinda. Saturn falls under this same category for me I would love to play some Daytona USA online, that would be the schtuff.

I think that would be a good idea, considering players may find a game from the Saturn they wanted back then and can get it now online.

The Saturn had fantastic games, so I'm happy. I'll love the day I finally get a PS3. It will never be the replacement for my PS2(I love the giant bulky PS2 to death) of course. It is fun to get the ports in small amounts via discs with game collections, but I'm cool with downloads, too.

My local gaming store actually has Saturn games. That store is on my list of places to work at to support by guitar, gaming, and art hobbies. I feel at home there, so I may as well work there when I get good grades again. I bought two games there weeks ago, and plan to be a regular. The Gamecrazy a town away is closed, so that store's the only place gamers in my town can congregate if they want a hard to find game and prefer cashiers.

Meh, it doesn't really matter to me. The only good Saturn games out there are NiGHTs and Panzer Dragoon Saga anyway, and I already have ROMs of them. So this doesn't really affect me at all.

It'd be no biggie to me. Like jmc1097 said, there are always ROMs. That's the route I'll probably take.

metal572 : I agree with tRIUNE. I think that it might be a good way to bring back in the day games to... nowaday games.

But also... I'm not a fan of PSN and XBL anyways. I'd rather just get a group of guys together and do a game that works well like that. I guess that's why i like fighting games though. Taking turns, passing controllers.... *GASP* Human CONTACT!!

But I do like the wifi idea. I just hate playing COD in a room of angry brits =P

No offense! My bass player is Full on British and he's the coolest ha
