This thread is about sharing the funny lyrics, odd meanings, weird, but funny meanings, and most of all, the complete randomness.

Like the Beatles "I am The Walrus"
Lyrics quote
"Sitting on a bench, waiting for the bus to come.
Corporation t-shirts, stupid bloody Tuesday.
You've been a naughty boy, you let your hair grow long.
I am eatting eggs, they are eatting eggs, I'm John Lennon,
Goo goo ga joob.

Or Brittany Spears "If you seek Amy"
Hidden meaning in title, because it could possibly be against the rules, I will let you figure it out yourself.

The Black Sabbath song Paranoid was actually just written in a few minutes, and simply is about that. Haha. The Slipknot song Get This is simply hilarious. I should also mention the Korn song A.D.I.D.A.S. I would mention the millions of pornogrind songs, but I'd get banned.

Talk about strange lyrics those who didn't know that Led Zeppelin's song "Immigrant Song" is about Nordic lands that is obvious with the lyrics.

"Ah, ah,We come from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun where the hot
springs blow. The hammer of the gods Will drive..."

The song is definitely about the Vikings. Norway, Finland, Denmark, etc. all have hotsprings and they're far enough north to have "midnight sun". The whole "hammer of the gods" thing is definitely Vikings. They have a thing with hammers... So is Valhalla. It's some realm or something where the souls of warriors killed in battle are kept by the norse god Odin.

Though the lyrics penned by Plant are allegorical in nature.. While Norsemen are identified, it's really Zeppelin, Plant is referring to. Like Viking warriors, Zeppelin had accomplished unabashed success selling out stadiums in hours. The tours were bedlam and often dangerous and Plant was comparing Zeppelin's 'overlord' status and power to that of Celtic warriors conquering a new land. It became a great stadium anthem and remained the opening song for most of the 72-73 tours.

Bleeding Out by Linkin Park is, apparently, a song about how they write their songs. Haha.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin

"Now the dark begins to rise
Save your breath it's far from over
Leave the lost and dead behind
Now's your chance to run for..."

This song is pretty much about how you should never give up on things, even if you are the only one supporting something. dont listen to other people and give in to things because you need to stay strong and show people how tough you are pretty much.

"Immigrant Song" was brought up, so speaking of Led Zeppelin: "Misty Mountain Hop"'s title is taken directly from the Misty Mountains in Lord of the Rings. A lot of their songs are inspired by Tolkien's writing (you probably all knew that already, though...). If you listen closely to "Stairway to Heaven", even, there is a lot of imagery that sounds like it could be inspired by Frodo when he sets out from the Shire.

This is also kind of odd: in Weezer's song "El Scorcho", a few lines are quoted directly from a fellow student's essay lead singer Rivers Cuomo peer-edited while attending Harvard. He liked the essay so much, he used parts of it in the song. If you look up the lyrics, the lines I'm talking about are actually in quotation marks (at least in official transcriptions of the lyrics).

My favorite, however: "I'd like to be/Under the sea/In an Octopus's garden." Simply Richard Starkey wanting to be an octopus.

Here's an odd song meaning... Don't replace F that with suck that. Wanna know where you learn this? Listen to the Vevo version of the Korn song Y'all Wanna Single? It's truly horrid if you listen to the words. It destroys the true meaning, thus, why I have made a new meaning for this bad censored version.

Okay, this is a rumor circulating my school.

In My Head - Jason Derulo, replace Head with Bed. That's how he intended the song to be apparently.

Metallica's song "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by this song describes a scene in the book "for by Ernest Hemmingway.

In this part of the book, a man known as el sordo is a guerilla leader fighting in the mountains of spain during the spanish civil war (which occured in the 1930s, when the second spanish republic came to power and spanish facists declared war on said republic). He ends up under attack and, massively outnumbered, he makes his last stand on a hilltop. He and his four remaining men hold off the attackers until planes come and bomb the hilltop, killing them all. The worst part of all this is that they were just trying to steal horses in order to retreat after aiding robert jordan, the novel's protagonist, in a highly improbable attack on a bridge required for the republic's forces to possibly take a city. As a result, sordo's men sort of have died for nothing, as their last stand will have little significance in the war or in history. This song comments on that, and on the futility of war.

The whole song of strawberry fields. It has nothing to do at all with fields filled with strawberrys, actually quite the opposite.
