What kinda item event do you want to make?
Please read "Pick-Up" first, as I will in "Treasure Chest" say do that and that again like in "Pick-Up". Such things.
Pick-up:
First Page, set it to whatever item graphic you want. Make a sound effect play when you pick up the item, and then one of those "Item Add" thingies (can't remember the name, you'll find it) with the item you want. There are two special ones for weapons or defensive items. Make a message saying "Found a potion" or anything like that. Last you make a "Local Switch Operation", which turns on switch A. Make a new page, triggered by Local Switch A Is On, no graphics and Phasing enabled.
Treasure Chest:
First Page, make it have the graphics of a closed treasure chest. Again make sound effect, "Item Add" (still can't remember the name) and message. Again turn Local Switch A on. The next page must have the graphics of an open chest, and be triggered by Local Switch A Is On. Either just leave it empty, or put a message saying "Nothing more." or anything like that. Note that if you make it show a message when empty, it might close and reopen, which looks a little weird.
Is that what you need?
