The Master is an elder martial arts artists that first appeared in Paper Mario. At first he appears as an elder. However, that quickly changes. Mario can fight him a total of three times in his Dojo. Anyway, lets learn about the Master.

The Master is one of three siblings. He is the Siblings to Zess T, who appeared in Paper Mario the 1000 year door, and Tayce T. He is believed to be the oldest of the three siblings. The Master has studied all kinds of martial arts around the Mushroom Kingdom. He has even trained with elite fighters. He kept earning black belts eventually earning the title of Master. At some time he opened up a dojo in Toad Town in the Mushroom Kingdom.

He is shown to train students at his dojo. His training is described as being rough, but fighters end up becoming better. Despite his age he continues to train and fight. Mario Party members remark how dedicated he is.

During the events of Paper Mario a lot of the Mushroom Kingdom including Toad Town was severely damaged. The Master's Dojo only had minor damage. When he finally meets Mario he mentions how he wants to train Mario to be a powerful fighter to challenge the stronger and enhanced Bowser. But first Mario has to fight his students. Mario can spar with him different times earning diplomas which are basically belts in Martial Arts.

Appearance- At first the Master appears to be an elder Toad. He coughs and wheezes a lot. It is rumored he could be close to 70 years old. However, when he enters battle he transforms into a younger version that is a very tough fighter. His regular outfit is red and orange. When he is in battle mode he transforms ito a pure gold character.

Personality- Being a master he has a very tough discipline personality. He pushes his students to the limits so they will be better fighters. He also has a high sense of honor. When Mario does an impressive attack he compliments him by saying nice move. When Mario wins he compliments him on a victory and challenges him for his next challenge. He does not like dirty tricks as that is frowned upon in Martial Arts. Even though, he has a tough of nails personality. He does have a softer side. He wants to help Mario get stronger so he can challenge Bowser and rescue Peach. Moreover, he also cares for his students.

Abilities- At first he does not look like much. But he quickly transforms into a powerful fighter. He knows all known Martial Arts. He can do knock out moves that can knock out Mario and his friends. Despite coughing at first in battle he has high endurance and stamina.

Attacks- His attacks are powerful and get more powerful in each battle challenge. He can use very fast punches and kicks. He has a few moves that can drain half of Mario's hit points. It should be noted a lot of his attacks are very quick.

Weakness- Since he knows all forms of Martial Arts and has earned the title Master. He does not have any known weaknesses. The player will need to be used to using power ups, powerful counter attacks and very fast reflexes to defeat him. Lady Bow can be effective as she can use her vanishing tactic to Hide Mario from his attacks.

Relationships

Allies- He cares for his two sisters and they are said to be a close unit.

Mario-He enjoys training Mario to increase his strength.

His Students- Even though he pushes his students hard and scolds them when they mess up. He is only doing this cause he wants his students to be the best that they can be.

Peach- He is shown to highly respect Peach and mentions he wants Mario to rescue her.

Enemies

Bowser- He mentions in some versions of the game that he does not like Bowser due to his evil tactics

Koopa Bros- He does not like the Koopa Bros. Despite the Koopa Bros using martial arts they fight dirty. Basically, they use dirty tricks, which is considered a lack of honor.

In conclusion, the Master does not look like much, but he proves you cannot judge a book by its cover. At first he looks like an elder man past his prime. But that is quickly put to rest when he enters battle. He transforms into a powerful fighter. He is a student of Martial Arts. Even at his advanced age he trains with and spars with other masters. He believes everybody can learn and push harder. He has several black belts in all forms of Martial Arts in the Mario world. This is why he has earned the Master Title. He has a great sense of morale and honor. He can be tough as nails but that is only to push people to be the best. He does have a soft side he just does not show it that much. He is also one of my favorite non boss characters in Paper Mario. His battles test your skills in battle. This concludes his biography.
