Snipe Anteator is a reploid, cyborgs with human traits, that first appeared in Mega Man X7. He was infected by Sigma and became a maverick, which are reploids, that are a danger to the society. He was once part of a crime prevention organization before the events of Mega Man X7. So, lets learn about him.

Before the events of Mega Man 7 an organization was formed by Red. The organization was soon called Red Alert. Red Alert was a criminal and maverick hunting organization. However, unlike the Maverick Hunters they did not always follow the law. Snipe Anteator was one of the first members of Red Alert. It is hinted that he is the oldest next to Red. He was trusted in Red Alert. Earlier he was a bounty hunter and officer in the organization. He was very good at studying possible targets and those that were not even targets. He was in charge of the cyber division of Red Alert. He could hack into anything and spy on anyone he wanted too. The Maverick Hunters did not trust Red Alert due to their tactics. On the other hand, the Maverick Hunters respected them due to their ability to go after the most wanted and suppress maverick activity. Red Alert started to be seen as heroes along with the Maverick Hunters.

However, things were about to change. Sigma under the alias the professor started to infect members of Red Alert. Axle saw what was happening defected to the Maverick Hunters. Red being close friends with Axle decided to let Axle go. But Sigma held Red Alert members hostage to Red. Sigma wanted Red to challenge Maverick Hunters to a duel. Red did not want to at first. Sigma enhanced Red Alert with his virus, but that came with a price. Red Alert members were no under Sigma's control. Sigma stated he would kill Red's officers and members unless he did his bidding. Red soon realized that his members as well as himself would die either by Sigma or the Maverick Hunters. Red challenged the Hunters to a duel.

Snipe Anteator now being infected and a maverick. Set a deadly trap maze in the cyber portal he created. He soon started to sabotage the world's internet system. He was doing this to lure X, Zero, and Axle into his portal. His planned worked in luring them. But his plan failed as that the 3 maverick hunters figured out his maze. They also destroyed his soldiers under him in the process. They confronted the elder Red Alert Member. Despite his age he put up a decent fight but was destroyed. As such the hunters freed the cybor portal from his control. They also stopped Maverick Activity from jamming signals.

Appearance- Anteator is based off an aardvark or an ant eater as they are sometimes called. Like most aardvarks he has a long nose. He has claws and a large platform underneath his body. The large platform helps him slide, but it gives him a humpback appearance. He appears to have green, blue, and purple armor. He has large claws.

Personality- Before becoming a maverick he was a cyber specialist and was over Red Alerts cyber team. He was able to pin point Maverick locations even those that used technology to try and hide their locations. He was able to jam internet and radio communications. He was shown to be intelligent as he could do analytics on anything. He also seemed to be a philosopher. After getting infected he became more of a pessimist and believed that the world will always be a violent place and there will always be war. He also seemed eager to destroy anyone.

Abilities- Anteator- has a large platform that can help him move and climb poles. His claws can fire plasma projectiles out. He can fire small ant like mines at his opponents. He has an unlimited supply of missiles. He does have power due to his attacks, but he is slower compared to other Red Alert members.

Attacks- Anteator has several ways to attack. One of his attacks is to use his claws to fire plasma shots at the player. His main attack is his missile attack. He can fire unlimited missiles at his opponents the missiles pack a punch. He can also fire homing missiles that home in on their target Another one of his powerful attacks is launching ant like mines that crawl around and explode on contact.

Weakness- He is week to the wheel cutter weapon. The Wheel cutter can cut him and stop most of his attacks. He is also not fast compared to other members so the player can use this to their advantage.

If the player defeats him they will get the homing missile weapon.

In conclusion, Anteator was once a respected elder. He was seen as a great cyber expert. He was also good at hunting criminals either by himself or letting his comrades know were the criminals and mavericks where. His biggest asset was his mind. He possessed great analytical skills. He always studied targets before battle. He was also great at spying. After getting infected he became more of a pessimist and believed that there would be no end to war. It could be that he realized he was going to die by the hunters or by Sigma one way or another. He seemed bent on destroying everything. On the other hand, unlike his comrades that lost their mind after getting infected. Anteator did not loose his mind. He still maintained his mind and decided to lay traps for the hunters. After getting defeated he ranted that he could not believe the Hunters figured him out and destroyed him. Basically, he went from a respected individual to a non respected individual. What is interesting is among Axles former colleagues Axle did not show a lot of remorse for destroying him. Anyway, this concludes the Bio.
