Spark Mandrill is a reploid, robots who have human features such as DNA and can think for themselves as well as make their own decisions, from Mega Man X1. He is based off of the Mandrill Monkey. He would eventually turn maverick, reploids who pose a risk to the world. Anyway, lets learn about him.
Mandrill, was one of the first reploids built by Cain Labs. He was built to provide power to the world's cities in form of crisis with his electric spark weapon. He was also a Maverick Hunter. He was a member of the 17th elite unit. He served under General Sigma, who was a Maverick Hunter at this time. Mandrill was like a sergeant in the 17th unit and served as a platoon leader under Sigma.
Mandrill followed his orders by Sigma without questioning them. When Sigma went Maverick he took most of the Maverick Hunters with him. Mandrill followed his general's orders and did not question them. Therefore, he became a maverick in the process. Sigma ordered him to take over power stations to provide power to Sigma's armies. As part of a Maverick he would steal or cut off power to the world's cities, that he was supposed to help.
Eventually, Mandrill took over the world's largest power generator plant to supply power for Sigma, and cut off electricity to even more countries. He mainly let his workers under him do the work at the plant while he liked to relax around the main generator. Eventually, X or Zero, depending on the game, destroyed him and restored the world's power.
Personality Wise- He is very simple minded once he is given an order by his superiors he follows them without question. This is why he followed Sigma's Maverick turn without reasoning or questioning it. Moreover, he seems to not to be able to think logically as he did not think about his actions when Sigma ordered him to cut off the world's power. Due to being simple minded he went maverick without being infected by the Sigma Virus. This is probably why Sigma recruited him as he knew he would follow orders without questioning them. Despite being a platoon leader in the Maverick Hunters and having responsibilities it is shown he is lazy. He prefers to have his underlings do his work why he chills out. When he takes over the World's largest power plant he has his workers maintain it and even defend it while he relaxes around the generator gorging himself on electricity.
Strength's- He is a large Maverick in fact he is the second Largest in the game only behind Flame Mammoth. In fact, due to being large he is on good terms with Flame Mammoth. He can do massive damage due to his attacks. His main attack is his rapid punch. This can send his opponent flying across the room. If his opponent tries to climb the wall his punch can knock them off the wall. His other power attack is he can hang from the ceiling causing objects to fall down as well as cause earthquakes. His signature attack is his electric spark weapon. The electric spark is a powerful weapon that can electrocute his opponent. He can also send powerful shock waves that can knock his opponent off the wall. In some games he can charge his electric attack. Despite being a large sized maverick he is agile and can move at a good clip for a maverick his size.
Weakness- He is weak to the shotgun ice. The shotgun Ice will stop him cold and freeze him for a few seconds. However, due to his strength he can quickly break free. He is probably weak to shotgun ice is because most monkeys especially Mandrills do not like the cold as they are found in the tropical reasons.
