So as it's just started pretty much and the discussion could be cool?

Anyone got any ideas on some deals on steam that catch their attention?

Personally, I'll probably get some of the legends of heroes games, and probably Caligula 2

I've played trails of cold steel 1 and 2 and some of 3, and it's a decent series. I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking at all, but it's an enjoyable turn based RPG.

Caligula 2 on the other hand is a bit more unknown, I somewhat enjoyed Caligula one mainly for it's aesthetic and its music. So it could be good, it could be mediocre. At least, I'm unlikely to want to 100% it this time... which will save my sanity to a certain extent.

I'm hoping people will discuss other random games as well, Might bring some games I'm unaware of into my radar as well.

Perhaps even a bit of community activity as well. (lol I wish)

I almost forgot the steam winter sale started today, I already bought two games from my wishlist. Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty and Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 2.

I like the Ty The Tasmanian Tiger series when i originally played it on the ps2 years ago. I bought and played the first game back in 2016. It only took me until now to get the second game because i wasn't paying too much the series afterwards and didn't realize they released the second game on steam. I can almost say the same thing about Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty lol.

I do plan on buying a few more games, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 3, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Like A Dragon Gaiden.

supercool22 : I've never even seen footage of a Ty the Tasmanian tiger game, let alone play one. I assume it's very similar to other mascot 3d platformers of the time, e.g. jak and daxter and ratchet and clank. Also gives me a slight urge to play the original spyro trilogy again.

As for oddworld I played exodus, it's a fun game, but a bit too tense for me in terms of its unforgiving. (looking at you green red bombs, lol) Granted, haven't played it in years, but the series has always been pretty good as far as I'm aware.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was just praised by everyone, and it's a solid purchase, obviously.

I played like a dragon, but not gaiden. If you do get it, please let me know how grindy it is. Like a dragon was kinda tedious sometimes with that.

There are a couple games on my wishlist I might go for this time around. The Entropy Centre seems like an interesting one. It's a puzzle game where you have a gun that rewinds things through time. So you have to solve puzzles by using time manipulation. There's also El Paso, Elsewhere. That game is very much inspired by Max Payne and it looks awesome.

I'm also considering Like A Dragon Gaiden just because I'm a big fan of the Yakuza series. From what I've seen it plays more like a traditional Yakuza game rather than being a JRPG like the last one was so I don't think it'll be very grindy. I might finally pick up Gloomwood as well although it's still in early access and I really don't like getting early access games. I'm also considering Bug Fables, a Paper Mario-like RPG. I already bought the Waste of Space dlc for Goat Simulator as well as a game called Free Running that was made by Rebellion.

Those were both very cheap. I have no idea what else I may end up getting during the sale lol.

I've actually been saving up tons of Viz here for years to exchange for game codes that are on my wishlist. I've been doing this for years, but nobody has ever taken me up on the offer...

80.000 Viz is apparently not good enough, neither is 200.000. Just what value is? How many Viz would it take to get a code of say... Monster Hunter: World or Disgaea 7?

TouchMaster97 : Honestly it's just really unfortunate timing on your side, I used to run a Viz to steam marketplace, but this was probably about a decade ago, back when 200k Viz was actually a notable amount compared to the average... Now a lot of the richest members have millions of viz, compared to when I did it I think only David was a millionaire. So essentially the need for Viz dropped drastically.

I never played Cold Steel 1 and 2 and since they might never be coming to the Switch in English I might pick them up. Might pick up some of the older ones too since none of those are coming to the Switch for a long time and I want to have all the games in the series.

sonicmcmuffin : Like a Dragon: Gaiden isn't grindy because its not a turn-based jrpg game. Its a beat-em up like the rest of the yakuza franchise. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be a turn based game, so expect that game to be grindy at one point.

And if you're wondering why the hell is like a dragon and infinite wealth are even jrpg games. It's because of the protagonist is a
Spoiler:
big Dragon Quest fan.

supercool22 : Oh I know the whole story of like a dragon, I finished all of it except for the bonus tower at the end, the reason I found it so tedious is because that was back when I was a bit of a completionist. There was just no decent way to level up to all the classes without grinding for days on end of pure tedium. The story is great and everything just horrible to 100%
