Roll-Chan is a hack of Mega Man. Except in this case you get to play as Mega Man Sister Roll. Roll has been modified into a fighting robot named Roll-Chan. This game is a Hack of Mega Man 3 and uses the classic NES version of Roll.

Story- 9

The Story is the same as the original Mega Man 3 except Roll is the main character not Mega Man (Rock). Dr. Wily has supposedly denounced his evil ways and wants to work with Dr. Light also known as Dr. Right in some games. Dr. Light and Wily have built a huge peace keeping robot named Gamma. They need crystals to power up Gamma. Dr. Wily warns Roll there are robot masters running wild. Roll heads out with her new side kick Tango the Cat to retrieve the crystals to power up Gamma. Has Dr. Wily really turned good and who created these Robot Masters? Roll heads out to discover the truth.

I like that the maker of this game used the same story line. Mega Man 3 had a good story. It gave the player the illusion that there was a new bad guy. Therefore, I give the story a 9.

Graphics and Controls 9

The graphics are very good and the stages are pretty much kept the same as the original. Some of the colors have been changed to accommodate Roll as the main character. Also the graphics use Roll's NES graphics. Another version of this game uses Roll's later game sprites. The game pretty much plays very well. However, there are a few times the game does seem to lag. It is not a major lag but it is noticeable. I will be honest anytime you hack a game I suspect a lag especially since the sprites in this game have been slightly changed.

The controls are very good. I do not find myself having to fight the controls. In some hacks the controls seem to be your enemy as they change speed at random. This is not the case in this game. Overall, I give the graphics/controls a solid 9 out of 10.

Sound: 10
Mega Man 3 had awesome sounds and awesome music. This game pretty much keeps the same sounds. The music is pretty much the same. Roll's buster sounds like Mega Mans would. I am glad the maker did not change the sounds. The music is also very good as I stated. I give the sound a 10 rating it is that good.

Addictive: 9

I really liked the original Mega Man 3. I played it a lot when it came out. This game is addictive. It has a lot of the same features. But you get to play as Mega Man and Proto Man's sister Roll. It seems like the game is something new, and something different eventhough it is a hack. I really ejoyed playing this game. This one I have played several times. Overall, I think the game is a solid 9 in terms of replay value.

Depth: 10

Mega Man games are infamous for their amount of depth. This hack is not exception. It plays like Mega Man 3. The stages are at the correct length. But a lot of the stages have secrets passages that hold items. This was also in the original Mega Man 3 game. You will need to search every stage carefully as like the original MM 3 you cannot visit the stages after beating them. I would also like to add this game does take a while to beat as there are several stages after beating the 8 robot masters, and the fortress stages. Due to the high amount of depth I give the depth a 10.

Difficulty: 7

If this game suffers it is its difficulty. Don't get me wrong this game can be difficult in certain spots. It is so easy to miscalculate a jump and end up into a pit. Enemies also love to send you down into the pits. Moreover, enemies do like to sometimes gang up on you. Some of the bosses can be difficult to beat. So the game can be tricky.

However, the game does a lot to help you out. You can carry a lot of energy tanks. Also the game is generous about dropping energy capsules as well as extra lives. Also some of the weapons do a lot of damage. A few of the bosses are made short work of due to their weapons.

The first time you play this game it does challenge you somewhat. But once you learn how things work it becomes easier. This is why I give the difficult a 7.

Overall Rating 9.3

I really liked this game. It is like the original game. I like that you get to play as Roll. As I mentioned above it offers something different and new. Even though this is a hack. The story, graphics, and addictiveness are very solid. The game really shines in its sound and depth.

The difficulty can be difficulty but it is doable. This would also be a good game to introduce somebody that is new to hacks too. Moreover, the game is just fun to play. It also makes you want to play this game again and and again. I highly recommend this game. It is a nice solid hack, so that is why I give it a very high 9.3 rating.

Anyway, this concludes my review of this game.
