Sagat is a popular fighter in Capcom's Street Fighter Series. Here is a bio about this legendary fighter.

Sagat first appeared in the game Street Fighter also known as Street Fighter I. In cannon he was the greatest fighter in the world. He was known as the Emperor of Muay Thai. It was thought nobody could beat him. He won many Street Fighting tournaments. However, a young fighter by the name of Ryu challenged him. Sagat and Ryu fought to a standstill. It seemed like Sagat was going to eventually win the fight. But Ryu used great power with in him and hit Sagat with a fireball. The fireball scarred Sagat with burn marks on his chest.

Sagat was outraged and vowed revenge. Not only had he lost his title of world's greatest fighter. But he had been injured. Once humble and a good person Sagat let hate and revenge consume him. He got the attention of M.Bison leader of the criminal organization Shadaloo. Bison offered Sagat a role as enforcer in his organization and promised him a rematch with Ryu. He was so consumed with hate and vengeance that he failed to see how evil Bison was as well as the organization he had become a part of is. While a member of Bison's organization he started to rise in the ranks again in fighting tournaments this time with his new Tiger Destruction technique.

After a while Bison used his evil psyhco power on Ryu. This outraged Sagat as he wanted to fight Ryu again but not with Ryu enhanced by Bison. Sagat then encourages Ryu to resist the power. Thus, Sagat betrays Bison and realizes how evil Bison is. He tells Ryu has he was almost destroyed and he is not ready to face him again.

After leaving Shadaloo for good. Sagat encountered a fighter named Dan. Dan was seeking revenge against Sagat. It was revealed that Dan's father damaged one of Sagat's eyes and Sagat killed him in a fight. Dan had swore revenge. However, Sagat got to see how Dan's revenge was holding Dan back as a fighter. Then Sagat started to reflect on how his own hate nearly lead to his downfall. The hate for Ryu started to leave Sagat.

Sagat started to regain his title as World's Greatest Fighter. He was now known as the king of MYua Thai. After holding the title Sagat seemed to have lost his fighting spirit. He met his former student Adon who had become a loud mouth and egocentric. He defeated his former student. This ignited the legendary fighter's fighting spirit. Sagat was now seen as a good guy again. He also started to try to make things right due to his past wrongs.

In Street Fighter IV Sagat defeats Adon again telling him to think you at one time was my student causes me great shame as you dishonor the tradition. This was because Adon had become very egocentric and self centered. He meets Ryu again and even calls him a friend. Sagat even encourages the other fighters and calls out the ones that have flaws that are holding them back. He also helps take down Shadaloo.

In Street Fighter V he starts to struggle with the evil power of Satsui no Hado. Sagat this times resist the power saying a King has no place for power and he will not yield. He comes to understand this is what Ryu struggles with. He meets Ryu they spar and come to understand the struggle with the evil power. Sagat tells Ryu he is glad he has not yielded. Ryu tells Sagat that he respects him and both are great fighters that have not even reached their full potential.
