What do you personally believe is your greatest achievement in gaming?

For me it's probably getting the platinum for Final Fantasy 12, It's just a game i have loved since it came out and it's not the simplest of platinums to get either.

Ironically enough i have never really been a super competitive gamer so haven't really been part of a competition so to speak.. I did go 50-0 on disc jam though.. but who cares about that?

My platinum trophy in Hotline Miami was achieved in 1 week and nobody else can dance their way through an A+ score in that game like I can. Absolutely my top achievement in gaming.

For me, my biggest accomplishment would be getting platinum in Spider-Man and Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. They are 2 of my 3 most favorite PS4 games so it was a lot of fun beating them, which took a couple months each. The only problem is that they haven't been updated yet because I upgraded my hard drive and I haven't bothered to switch them and upload yet.

I have two of them, actually;

-Getting 20,000 coins and unlocking the Gold Standard in Mario Kart 7-
Mario Kart 7 was the game that got me into the 3DS (2DS in my case since I hated the bendy screen) to begin with, but playing Mario Kart 7 was weird at first due to all the changes from Mario Kart Wii, but once I adapted, it became an instant favorite. In each race, you can get a maximum of 10 coins, and since Grand Prixs are four races long, you can get a maximum of 40 coins per Grand Prix. Basically, I played over 500 races in the game and have invested over 150 hours into the game overall. It's a hell of a grind getting the Gold Standard without a 3DS Powersaves device or by getting 10000 VR in online races, but getting the naturally required 20,000 coins is a serious sign of dedication.

-Getting 200% completion in Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D-
I got this game as a free download from Club Nintendo, and while I already owned the game on Wii, it was the 3DS port and its New Mode that helped get me into the game. Getting 100% isn't a boastworthy feat even on the Original Mode, but getting 200% even on New Mode is a hell of an accomplishment. Why is that? Because Mirror Mode has you playthrough each level again in reverse, with no Diddy, two hearts instead of three, no healing, and no inventory items at all. Jagged Jewels and Perilous Passage were especially hard to clear, but once I got it all done (which was actually fun at times), I truly felt like a winner. That being said, though, I was never more dedicated to clearing a challenge ever again in my life, as it was the hardest challenge I've ever cleared by a severe landslide, and honestly, hard games just aren't worth the stress.

The achievement for Mario Kart 7 was more-so dedication rather than skill since it's basically a grind, whereas the one for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is a mark of my maximum gaming skill. I felt more accomplishment from the Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D accomplishment, though I don't think I could ever pull of either of those feats ever again in my life, honestly...

First ranking every VR mission in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was a royal pain. That comes to mind as a contender.

My greatest achievement, and also my greatest failure.

These are my rankings for the Mega Man Zero series.
The image is far too large to fit reasonably in a single post,
you're gonna have to open it in another tab to read it.

Most people who play these games bumble through tanking with horrible ranks, and then pretend they won.
Years ago, this series scarred my childhood and I couldn't ever get over it.
It was finally time to revisit. I chose to try to No Damage S Rank the series. That was the intent.

But, as I was making fast progress through Z4,
my controller was falling apart. My dash and attack buttons jammed,
and I wasn't able to properly play anymore, left with the last eight levels unfinished.

More than that, No Damage was foiled by the final levels of Z1 and Z3. Likely, this will be on infinite hiatus.

Also by the way, I started doing this before ZX Legacy was announced.
Had no idea, this was just a spur of the moment project.

ManicHarlequin : Tell me about it... most painful platinum by far just for those stupid VR missions (on top of having to no-damage pretty much the entire game). Wonder if PlatinumGames even tried to beat it themselves lol

On that note, I'll definitely put my hat in for getting the platinum for Revengeance. I'm on my way to making Hollow Knight's boss rush damage-less though, and once I complete that I think that'll overtake it for my greatest achievement.

Minuano : I never really got into revengeance honestly. PLayed it when it first came out but at around that time was when i was basically about to be homeless etc.

Honestly speaking i'm not that great at difficult action rpg games, especially ones like dark souls or hollow knight because i've never really invested the time into them to.

If i honestly get a trophy in every game i own on the ps4 that would probably be my greatest personal achievement but also one that everybody who has a ps4 could strive to do probably far easier than me lol... Literally just plated uncharted 2 and am working on uncharted 3... le sigh, anyways moving on.

Eniitan : I can't actually get that plat because of my epilepsy and the whole lightning dodging game... Kinda of annoying as well because I've done most of the leg work to plat it too, which to anyone that has platted knows it takes a lot of grinding unless.. y'know you use yojimbo lol.

alexanyways : I've only played hotline Miami a bit on PC, was tempted to get it on PSN as well but already had a huge backlog.. I might look into it at some time but i'm not expecting to get anywhere close to platting it.

zanderlex : Spiderman is a game i'm gonna plat at some point in the future for sure.. I've not even played it yet and i got it when it came out... that's the joys of backlogs.

ManicHarlequin : Yup i haven't got the patience or skill to do that lol... I never really had enough time to get good at revengeance lo.

I won't reply to magicwarrior, because honestly speaking i have no experience with the megaman series except for the first two games... and i suck at those as well

sonicmcmuffin : You can never have too many games. It's better to have backlogs than to be bored because you have nothing new. I picked up Dragon Quest 11 in March because it looked cool and then at the last second I grabbed Animal Crossing just to fit in and I haven't even touched Dragon Quest yet. I know I'm going to love it and It's a great feeling knowing you still have something to look forward too.
