Hey guys! how are ya'll all doing? So I decided to make this threadbecause, we gamers usually know what games to start wit when a new year roles around. soo....for me I have already pre ordered FF7 Remake and Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. Now there are a few others I still need to get. Like Fairy Tail Taht will release in March but its most likely I will pre order for that one next month. And I also have Pokemon Sword to Consider as well to get the Expanstion Pass. Also I need to buy the remake of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red. I've seen it already! so I am really looking forward to that. I brought FF7 early in 2019 to get it out of the way with.

Eniitan : I do actually have quite a few that I've been planning on getting personally this year, though not like a huge list just a pretty small one.

I originally was going to get the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles remaster because it was coming out in the coming month, however it got pushed back for a summer release recently which is a bit of a pain but as long as it's to help polish the game I'd understand why. It was one of my favorite games on the Gamecube growing up and I barely got to play the Multiplayer of it, though it was probably one of the best Co-Ops I've ever had the chance to play. The problem being it had a bit of an annoying setup really prevented me from playing it multiplayer but the single player campaign is still pretty good. Now that it's getting a Switch release me and my Sister and a few others and planing to play it together and it's gonna be one of the highlights.

Animal Crossing New Horizons has been something I've waited for ever since it got announced, it's crazy to think that it's about to come out in about 2 months. I became a late adopter in the franchise with New Leaf but it was a great experience while it lasted. This new game looks to be fulfilling a lot of new promises and honestly am so pumped up for it.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX came out of nowhere and surprised me, it's gameplay is still the same that I used to know on the GBA and it's Visual Design looks great though will admit that I'm not too big a fan of the same models being reused from the older Pokemon games like they did with Super Mystery Dungeon but that's besides the point. I keep looking at the Promo art and I played the Demo since it came out and it's only coming in 2 months which is pretty exciting stuff. I hope it'll live up to my expectations as a avid Mystery Dungeon fan.

The final game is the Final Fantasy 7 remake, which sadly I don't have a PS4 to play though definitely brings up the hype to me. I'm a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts series and while I have played pretty much all of them (Thanks to the lending of a PS4) I still kind of crave for more of that type of gameplay. FF7 always seemed like a pretty great game but it wasn't really my personal Favorite (That honor goes to FFX) which this might just change that. It looks so gorgeous and a ton of fun to boot. While I didn't get into 15 fully I think this will be the game that will reinvent my love for the Franchise bar none.

There aren't that many games that I'm really excited for this year. I'll probably get the Avengers game but once the price drops or I'll pick up a pre owned copy because I'm not that invested.

I'm also really excited for Digimon Survive but it's been delayed so many times that I don't even know if it will come out this year at all. I've been waiting for this game for like 16 months already.

I am really looking forward to the final fantasy 7 remake, it has been years since the original final fantasy came out so I am curious on how they will make it stand out among games we have today and how popular it will be. Hopefully it will even make more people final fantasy fans which I think is always a good thing to have more of. Though if they have an add for noodles anywhere for some odd reason I will probably die from laughter. XD

Slyshiyoshi : Oh my....I fogrot about final fantasy crystal chronicles I knew I saw that game somewhere. and I think I saw that on my orginal wii back in the day. I planned on playing it but...I ended up forgetting I guess...I will need to add that in to get for the ps4 I have seen the trailer.

zanderlex : Thank you so much for reminding me about that I also planned on getting that digimon game I saw the trailer sometime in 2019 and I was like yeah I will get this game!

Eniitan : I ammmm I love it to pieces, I am so hyped for the remake that I can hardly go a day without thinking about it and then being really hyped out of nowhere and then not knowing what to do to calm myself down again. XD

Besides Dragon Ball Z Kakarot I don't have a lot right off hand I'm looking forward to playing besides Persona 5 Scramble assuming it comes out outside of Japan this year lol.

Only 2 games i'm really looking forward to buying right now. Resident Evil 3 Remake and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. Hopefully i can get myself a Nintendo Switch before PMD's release.

The games I am looking forward on getting this year is either Pokemon Sword or Shield because of the Expansion Pack DLC (yes, I haven't bought Pokemon Sword/Shield yet, because I was uninterested in those games, but now since the Pokemon Direct, I have gain a bit more interest), as well as the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game as well.

Although that's mostly it, unless Nintendo has some big gaming plans this June for e3, but till then, it looks like these are the only two games I'm looking forward to.

Originally I had no plans to pick up full priced 2020 games, but today Gamestop had a big deal where you get $5 extra trade in credit for every game you trade in towards a pre order. I took advantage of this, especially because the games I traded in were the ones I got for 80% off from the Gamestops that were closing down.

So I basically paid around $30 for games, traded them in, and got pre orders of Persona 5 Royal, FFVII remake, Digimon Survive, Cyberpunk 2077, Mystery Dungeon DX, and Avengers.

The main stuff on my list:

Final Fantasy 7 Remake
No More Heroes 3
Animal Crossing New Horizons.

There are other smaller games coming out like Dreams and One Piece Pirate Warriors 4, mind, but these ones above are the big ones I really want.

Right now the only game I have my sights on is Persona 5 Royal. Both me and my lover are greatly expecting it, and I can't wait to see the translation job they did for the Spanish subs on such an immense game.

I might get myself Team Sonic Racing after all the fun I had at a friend's house, but that's not for sure. I ignore if my friends can suddenly discover me some other interesting games, but I wouldn't place my bets on that since we don't meet specifically to play videogames.

Besides all that, I'm just expecting the release date of KOF XV. I'm not yet sure when will I buy it or if I'll wait on a version with included DLCs, but I do want to get it after the massive hit XIV was for me.

EX Palen : Which version of P5R are y'all getting?

zanderlex : Not sure what you mean, but I guess it should be the same one as the rest of the world that isn't Japan. That's how it's been up until now, and I don't see why it should be any different in this case.

I'm very much looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima and the Xenoblade Chronicles definitive edition. Ghost of Tsushima has had my attention for months, and I maintain that Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the greatest RPGs ever made. It remains to be seen whether or not I'll have any money for them, but it's a goal. Also looking forward to what they do with Breath of the Wild 2. I'm hoping they bring back some of the traditional elements from the series. Not that I disliked Breath of the Wild.

EX Palen : Are you getting the regular one, the limited edition one, the collectors one, etc?




I added a couple more games to my fully paid list including the new Animal Crossing and God's and Monsters.

zanderlex : Oh, you meant the special editions. My bad.

For me, the regular version will do, and I don't think my lover will aim for anything higher than that either. The reasons for buying this game are already included in the standard version, no need to go out of our way for the perks offered in the other versions.

I'd have to see what comes in the collectors edition, though. My lover could appreciate some art included there. But I still think the regular version will do, simply because of its price at the time of release.

EX Palen : I really like that many games now are seeming to lean away from special editions and are giving stuff with the base game.

For example, with P5R, the base game comes with the Steelbook and a PS4 theme. A couple years ago you'd have had to pay for an $80 version to get a Steelbook.

The $90 version comes with the soundtrack, some art, and a mask. I personally don't see those 3 as worth the extra $30 though.
