I personally love to play games on the PC. It is my console of choice. There are tons of ports and exclusives to play. What do you prefer to play on?

I'll be honest. I am a huge fan of the Shin Megami Tensei games so I kind of had to cave to PlayStation to play these games (PS3 and Ps Vita) but that's okay. I also play some of the SMT games on 3ds, but I love Nintendo so it's okay. I of course play other consoles because I just like the games they offer but like I said above, I default to PC.

What do you like to play on?

Right now it's mostly console.

For a few years before I moved out on my own, I wasn't allowed to hook up the PS4 that I bought in 2015 or the old PS3 so I always played games on my laptop, usually a few hours a week. Plus I played 3DS and Vita sometimes.

Once I moved last December, I started playing PS4 a lot and Switch recently and haven't played a single PC game since then.

I prefer console, and frankly that will never change. I don't have the money for a powerful PC that can run games and I just prefer the feel and presentation of console, anyway. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of indies, and consoles seem to have way more exclusives than PC anyhow.

PCMasterRace.

Seriously though, if a multi-console game comes out on the PC, I will get the PC version because of the better graphics (I have a good gaming PC) and the ability to mod.

UNLESS, it's a game that I really don't care much about the graphics and modding, and I want it on the go, then I'll get it for the Switch. For example, Stardew Valley which has very simple graphics and is the type of game that is easy to pick up and put down, and play with distractions, I bought for the Switch.

Apart from that, I play mostly Nintendo consoles for the exclusives. I play a little of the PS4 for exclusives too, like the Uncharted series.

Either, really. There are fantastic games on console, even if PC is the biggest, cheapest and most adaptable way of gaming of them all. One problem, though: Most PC games are not very family-oriented. Party games like Smash and Mario Kart will likely never come to PC. Pokemon will likely never come to PC. Competition may drive the competitors to make better products, but I can't deny that something grand could come of all of the competition working together under one roof to make cheaper and better things.

Until then, we have to deal with costly divisions. We have to make choices based on our budgets. And that has meant, for me, that I've never so much as touched a Nintendo Switch. #INeedAJob

PC Gaming Pros
- Does not hog up the television.
- You can watch television at same time as you are playing games.
- You can multitask between a game and work at the same time.
- There is a way bigger selection of games.
- You can play free browser based games on the internet.
- ROMs and emulators are also a big advantage.
- Games can be stored on your hardrive, saving you an entire room full of real games.

PC Gaming Cons
- Some games will not work or be very choppy depending on your hardware.
- Some games on console are not available on the pc unless they are available through roms and isos.
- You cannot sell digital copies of games (well you could, but it is illegal).

Console Gaming Pros
- The hardware was created to handle all games, unlike PC's which is a mixed bag.
- Gaming can be an overall more fun experience on a big television screen.
- You can play with multiple people in the same room with a single console (not sure you can with one computer, it would be awkward).
- Owning a physical copy of a game is a big advantage as you can sell or trade it in for other games in the future.

Console Gaming Cons
- Hogs up the television and that becomes a problem when you got only one tv and multiple people in your house.
- Limited selection of games depending on the console.
- Takes up space in the room all those cords and games become a hassle after a while unless you buy digital games.

I'm partial to PC gaming but don't mind consoles at all. For me it's more of a placement issue, my TV is so high up in my room since I don't really have anywhere else to put it and it sort of hurts to have my neck angled to look up for so long, lol. However, even without that I think I'd still prefer PC due to better performance (as per my experience), and I'll admit I'm a sucker for graphics. Biggest thing for me would be what JigSaw mentioned, multi-tasking between less-attentive games and work makes PC gaming perfect for me.

It depends on a number of things for me. PC typically is graphically superior and is much more likely to have high and stable frame rates, but I just don't have the budget for a gaming rig. PC gaming's also got mods, but I don't really mod. PC also has more compatibility issues than console, at least it seems, even though developers appear to want to close that gap (I'm looking at you, Konami, with your game that wasn't even playable at launch without the day one patch).

I also absolutely hate digital, and there's hardly anything in the way of physical PC gaming these days, so I generally prefer consoles as the slightly more convenient, collectible, and for being the, if only relatively, economic choice.

Except first-person shooters. I can make do with a controller, but there is just no substitute for a keyboard and mouse for a first-person game with free look.

Each have their pros and cons, but I've always been partial to consoles. I guess this is mostly due to not having a good/strong enough PC to play games on. I have Steam on my laptop and am slowly starting to play games on PC more, but I spend the majority of my time gaming on consoles. If I play on PC, I always like to hook up a controller. For me, using keys to move and perform actions just feels unnatural. I like having a controller in my hands.

In the future though, I plan to invest in a good gaming PC, so my decision could change.

I've always prefered to play video games on a console. The primary reason for that is that I am absolutely awful at playing games with a mouse and keyboard. Some people are insane at it, and I have no idea how they do it. It just feels so unnatural to me, and I can't get used to it. I also like playing on a TV as opposed to a computer monitor. I've always been a console guy, and I likely always will be.

It really depends on the console and the game I am trying to play.

Obviously, the games like Pokémon I’d rather play on a system, mainly because my PC doesn’t have too good of graphics.

I like using the PC more for multiplayer games because the online servers on a PC are generally better than those of consoles. PC games also tend to have a much better selection, and some pretty niche games can be played on a PC for a generally pretty low cost.

Honestly, I prefer PC due to superior power, more freedom to tweak games and play them however I feel like playing them, and because backwards compatibility isn't something you have to beg the hardware manufacturer for. While you will sometimes have issues with games that don't work on newer operating systems, there are always workarounds to solve the problem, not to mention that Steam sales mean you probably have way more games than you can even play in the first place. Personally, I've got almost 250 right now, a lot of which I haven't gotten the chance to play, and that number's only going to go up with how cheap games often are. I will play on consoles sometimes, though, for cases when they're better or offer something that I can't get on PC, like the Switch and PS4 that I currently own.

Being on the PC I find to be soul draining. Being constantly tethered to the internet is very soul draining. I love talking to my friends, but even if I'm at a computer and have the wifi turned off, I still don't feel very comfortable playing games on it. I can't get immersed or relaxed like I could playing a console on the couch, computers are just... depressing, I guess.

I'm by no means a console fanboy, I recognize the PC is infinitely superior to consoles, but consoles are my preference because it just feels nice and authentic and comfortable, and most of all, secluded. I don't like playing games on PC unless they're multiplayer games.

It really depends on the game that I am playing, like some games such as Minecraft, I much rather play on my PC over a console, but most of the time, I rather play on a console.

Sure, the PC has the best when it comes to the hardware, because you can even get a mid-grade computer and able to run a lot of games with no issue while even the more powerful consoles doesn't have the power to run, but at the same time, I like consoles more because of exclusive games that a console offers, especially Nintendo consoles, plus it's always great to sit on the couch or bed and looking at your Television screen with controller in your hands, or with a handheld in your hands, feels a whole lot better than having to sit in a chair uncomfortably while constantly moving your mouse.

Plus, unlike PCs where you have to deal with sharing your gaming files with other files that you have installed on your computer as well, you barely have to deal with that with consoles. Even know yeah, Consoles has less storage space compared to PCs, but with all the other files you have on PC, it really defeats the purpose.

I'm going with Console gaming, unless it's VR. I grew up on console gaming, so I am used to it. Also, I suck very badly at most PC based games, unless it's only made for PC (like Papers Please, Tower Defense games, etc).

With VR, my experience is limited. But, I much prefer PC based VR than console based.

I got to experience the best in both worlds. But..I rather have console for several reasons. On pc it tends to clog up space when I need them the most. I enjoy console gaming more because its not really in my way.

Well, I love playing games on my 2DS, I love playing games on my computer, and I love playing games on my Switch, so it doesn't really matter to me. If it's a good game, I'll play it on whatever I have around. However, if a game takes up a bunch of hardware on my computer or lags really badly, then I'll head to a console.

I mostly play on PC simply because it's where I have most of my games. When new consoles come out I typically would have to buy new games for them too and generally they don't have backwards compatibility with the older games anymore. On PC though, I can just keep adding on to what I already have over the years. I do still use consoles sometimes though mostly just for exclusives.
