If any of you haven't heard, the co-owner of Marvel Comics, and the pioneer of the entire Action genre, Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95 (he would of been 96 next month).

Stanley Marten Lieber was born on December 28th, 1922 in New York City, but he later on wrote his name as "Stan Lee", and then he legally changed it to Stan Lee. He has started his art career in the comic & movie industry at only the age of 17, and started working at Timely Comics, and then in 1961, Stan got together with Jack Kirby and became the new co-owners of Timely Comics which they end up renaming the company to "Marvel Comics" and the name stayed to this day. This is also at the same time that the Action genre exploded in popularity, with comics, movies, & TV shows (animated & real life), such as Spider-Man, Iron-man, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Thor, The Incredible Hulk and just to name a few, making their debut during the 1960's.

With Stan's success, it has made him a huge pop cultural icon all across the world in all media, including making cameos in every single Marvel comic, movie, TV show, and video game in existence, and even appearing in non-Marvel movies and TV shows as well.

If it wasn't for Stan Lee, things would been a whole lot different, I don't even think that the Action & Adventure genre would of easily taken off as successful as it did, I don't think the movie industry would have taken off, and even the gaming market wouldn't have taken off either.

RIP Stan Lee, you sir are a Legend in all of media and you will be missed by many fans, no matter the source of media they enjoy on.

Oh wow! This is very sad, I loved how he would make a cameo in the Marvel movies.

Some people don't know this, but he was also a WWII veteran.

I especially loved his newer cameos. Really liked the ones from Teen Titans, Infinity War, Homecoming, and Ragnarok.

I'm really gonna miss seeing him in movies.

I was also legitimately sad about this when I heard about it. I'm not the biggest Marvel fan, but I know just how big of an impact on the entertainment industry he's had. Easily can be called a legend.

zanderlex : To my knowledge, they've been preparing for this for a while and he's got cameos filmed for the next couple of upcoming films. I don't know when it'll stop, though.

Minuano : Yeah, since they already finished filming Captain Marvel and Endgame before, he would have already been in them. I was shocked though to see him make two cameos in recent animated movies though so those were some nice surprises.

I recently watched Ant-Man And The Wasp and when I saw the cameo of Stan Lee, I just felt so sad even though the scene in the movie was supposed to be funny. I'm sure the other people sitting around me were feeling the same way because the laughter died down pretty quickly.

RIP Stan Lee

I recently watched Venom and when I saw the Stan Lee cameo it really hit me. I was sad when I first heard about his passing but actually seeing him again really cemented it in my head. It's gonna be weird not seeing him anymore after Captain Marvel and Endgame are done.

When I saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Stan Lee had his animated cameo, I couldn't help but let out a sad sigh. Even though it's been a few weeks since he died, I'm still finding it hard to believe.

I could care less, but he did make a lot of legendary stuff during his lifespan. Of course, his biggest f***-up was Stripperella (Yes, it actually exists, and he actually did make the crap), which is objectively the worst superhero program ever made. I bet now that he's in Heaven, he simply regrets making such an abomination.

That being said, he's dead now. Can we shut up about him and let him rest in peace? It's bad enough people still won't shut up about f***ing Satoru Iwata's death (If it weren't for him, Bayonetta would be gone), so let's hope this old coot doesn't become a similar problem.

It is really sad since I feel like there have been a lot of well loved people lost in 2019, Stan Lee being one of them and I don't think that they will ever truly be forgotten so I guess you could say he still lives on in a way and so do they. I do feel sad whenever I see him though in a cameo when watching those films.
