Hi old friends,

It's been a long time since I've been around on the board. Not sure how many of the friends I have met on Vizzed over the years are still around, but I am hoping to be a bit more active on the boards in the future.

I finally bought a PS4 over the summer, but I haven't played much due to my writing schedule. One thing I quickly learned was to buy games digitally via PSN. I purchased three games with my console that were on discs, but I bought the digital versions because I figured out the disc drive acyactua causes the console to overheat.

Although I don't play as often and keep my console (I have the pro version)unpl unplu when not in use, I have a decent library of games between what I have purchased and the games i have via PS Plus. Seeing as I am still getting familiar with straight digital gaming, I was wondering if there is anyone on the board who might have any suggestions on what external HDD to purchase to expand my storage?

I am trying to play at least once a week when I have time and one of the first games I bought was a pre-order of the new Madden. Even though I enjoyed playing the game before the release, I don't think I'm going to pre-order too many games because of the costs. If I can get at least a 4tb-8tb external HDD I think I won't have to download/delete games so often so I have space so, I'm open to any suggestions anyone on the board might have.

Thanks

Welcome back to the site!
I definitely need to get a pro to go along with my 4K TV.

What games have you played recently? Any recommendations?

The disc drive causes the console to overheat? That explains those meltdown reports we've seen on the internet. I hope this problem doesn't extend to regular PS4s like the one I have, I don't use it for extended periods of time but I'd hate to see it meltdown after surviving a few scorching summers.

I haven't tried many games, and I even plan on passing the year without acquiring a single one. I'm just not as hooked to videogames as I once was, I guess I've ended up nearly hating what once I used to abuse. I only own a couple fighting games, which makes three with the only digital game I have, and three racing games, so I can't really give out many recommendations.

I primarily play Madden, MLB 18, UFC 3, and WWE2k18, but I have a ton of games I've got via PS plus that I haven't installed yet because I'm looking into a USB HDD to expand storage. NBA live 18 is great though if you're into any of those games. I don't have a 4K TV yet, but I was amazed by the graphics. It had been years since I was able to play Madden or MLB. If you didn't know better, it was almost like watching an actual game.
