The legend of zelda, The minish cap review   yoshirulez!

As i am Typing this inside my wordpad document, i'm Recalling how much this game makes me...happy. And That happiness is actually medicinal; It helped me sleep Far better then when i was in a neutral mood. You see, My dad is rather unhappy most of this time, And his moods affect me. I have no idea why though. But This game completely negates the affects of his moods towards me. Honestly, I would consider it to mildly be an anti-depressant. This game is like no other legend of zelda game out there. Usually Legend of zelda games are rather serious and somewhat dark. But this has a pleasant, soothing aura around it's contents. Such as the amazing graphics, Storyline, Music, Etc. And what i found interesting was that this game has alot of stuff from other titles that are hard to find. Such as the so called "Dr.Left" Who looks exactly like Dr.Wright from SimCity64. And the mini boss music, It may sound a lot like the mini boss music from The legend of zelda Ocarina of time, But really it's from Zelda no Densetsu, Link no bouken. For the Family computor also known as the "Famicom" Which was Before the Nintendo Entertainment System or days. It still had NES games, But a lot was different about then differing from the american releases. Now you may have noticed, The layout of the overworld is very close to the one in A link to the past, For the Super nintendo. It also shares some of the music from that such as dark world and farewell king hyrule. Anyways..

Graphics: 9. The graphics are Very in-depth and smooth, Somewhat Bright. Which i can fully appreciate Because i usually play darker games such as Magi nation and Resident evil 4. The sprites are magnificent but Honestly i don't really think they could do any better. If they would try to remake it with better graphics i feel that it may not go over very well. Maybe if they made it for DS or something, Otherwise it would Most likely be a train wreck. Like Ocarina of time 3D.. But that's just my opinion.

Sound: 9. The sound is very very good. Most of them sound like the ones in majora's mask, Such as that old guy at the start of the game in the castle, It uses the sound affect for the postman from majora's mask, And most of link's sound affects sound like the ones in majora's mask too. Overall I think it turned out pretty well. Although i don't hear Mutoh make that obnoxious sound like from Ocarina of time and majora's mask. Which is really dissapointing because it's rather funny.

Music: 8. As mentioned above, The mini boss music in this game is exactly like the cave theme from Link no bouken. It is not present in the NES version, Meaning this game is pieced together from a variety of titles. Some from A link to the past, Others from Ocarina of time and Link no bouken. But i think it's a great way to experience the music from titles that were not released outside of japan. My favorite is the starting music, which is the ending music for Ocarina of time.

Story: 8. The story is rather interesting. Great evils walk the land, Then the Minish offer the hero a sword, Which he uses to vanquish the evil and return home. But new evil walks the land.. A deranged apprentice wizard who craves power... The force which is hidden about the land.. Honestly, I think it's awesome.

Depth: 10. Collecting heart pieces, bottles, Fusing kinstones to find new things.. Side quests side quests side quests... So much to offer, High replay value.

Difficulty: 8. It's fairly hard, Which is good. I look for very hard games to play. I mean, it's not as hard as majora's mask, But it is rather confusing in some spots. You may need to finish a puzzle, Or fuse kinstones with someone or something. Rather hard to know Who or what to fuse with, And the puzzles are difficult. You will Enjoy the confusing and fun puzzles in this game.

Addictiveness: 10. Highly addictive. You could spend hours and hours playing this.. Day in and day out. In fact, i'm still playing this. Not to mention chopping little snakes and animals with a big sword and shooting them in the head with an arrow is rather fun. Or blowing them up with a bomb or two. So many ways to enjoy beating the snot out of snails and birds Etc. You'll have a great time with this piece of awesome pie. But that is just the appetizer, As you can run about grabbing chickens for someone, Or just dig down dig Around looking for kinstones. Which i love finding people to fuse kinstones with.

Overall: 10. Simply superb game with great graphics, extremely in-depth storyline, Highly addictive, And just plain beast. The legend of zelda, the minish cap is a site to behold as the power of the Game boy advance entrances you with the stunning gameplay. Have fun, and don't forget to fuse kinstones with everyone.

The legends of Zelda The- Minish Cap Review   linkmaster99
Well as I expect a Zelda game to be really fun this one came to me in a big shock. I played it, and I fumbled around with it a while, and here I am gladly saying that this is actually the best Zelda Game I played on the original game system, the game boy advance. I really enjoyed this game, and I beat it. It was really difficult to actually beat, and I took that route. I plan to beat this again, but for now let me just talk and brag about you. This game was a awesome game series brought to us on the game system Game Boy Advance. This is actually the story of toon link. I may be wrong, but I think this is the first adventure toon link ever embarked on, and then came 4 swords, then Wind Waker, So on to Phantoms Hour Glass, and lastly Spirit tracks. I think that is how it is, but this really is a remarkable source of a game. Link embarks on a adventure to save the princess as always. This time she wasn't kidnapped, but she was turned to stone, and the only way to reform her back to normal was to gather the four swords, and focus them into 1 blade. Well then the evil doer behind this isn't Ganondorf this time. This is Vaati. You should know now the he is the final boss of the game. Link sets out to gather the 4 elements, and those were the things infused into the blade to make it more powerful.it was really great, and I experience a fun adventure from all that. It was also really trick, and most times I could not do it on my own. I gathered help off the Internet. Well let the review tale begin ^_^.
Graphics: 10
This game had some really great graphics for a game boy advance game. It looks a little like Pokémon, but in a more 3 D like version of it. It was really great, and I actually enjoyed looking at it while playing through this game. It wasn't half bad, and it was a good way to sharpen gaming skills. It had a few brain teasers in this game, but I was able to pull through, and beat it. This game was really fun, and I don't think it could have improved any better than this. I liked it the way it was, and I enjoyed beating the tart out of my enemies at that. This was a great drill for a Legends of Zelda game, and I really like respected, and above for this game. I don't see how it possibly could have improved, but as I kept saying before, this game has some impressive standards that could really make you explode with excitements. Most of all which is being that it is a great looking game. I really loved most side quest like kin stone fusing, and more. That was mostly impressive, and I really enjoyed it. It was a great way to make your mind work. I would say that cucco hunting isn't a game, but you see it as a game. You get really cool items, and rupees for it. That s why when I say this game isn't half bad. I literally mean that. I enjoyed it so much, and most features are really really neat. This is a really nifty game to have around if you are looking for some fun. I sure was impressed with it, and I had to figure that out the hard way, but really good way :P.
Sound: 9
The sound was actually extraordinary to me I liked most places music such as minish woods, hyrule field, the village, and inside most buildings. I actually did like the sound of most dungeons you have to go through. What I didn't like is the maze you had to get through to get to one of them. The maze itself was actually nice, but being lick by some ghost I mean come on what kind of stuff does that? Either way I actually beat it so I don't have much to complain about. It was nice long, and it was a very detailed game. It had me wanting to go on and on. I spent my whole entire spring break playing this game because it was very good. I didn't beat it, but I did make it to the final boss. I finally beat this game after a few months of making it to the final boss. I must warn you. It will get pretty annoying because he has 3 forms, and the last 1 is really hard. I am warning you not to be to easy, and over confident on that boss. I really recommend that you use save states after ever boss you beat. That is just a recommendation to you all because you may think the game was shard before. Wait till you get to there. I will tell you. The first form of Vaati was medium, the second form of him was the easiest, but the 3rd form was extremely hard. I will give you fair warning that you will not know what to do on either form unless you play it for a while, and get bright ideas, or look up a video to help you. I didn't want to figure out to I got some help from the Internet :).
Addictiveness: 8
I actually found this to be really addictive. I actually like the toon link adventures, because the are fun, and they have more detail, and depth in them than most original link Zelda games. This one has some standard's that really meets the eye. I have to say that I simply love it. In this game there were 4 dungeons, but 6 dungeons in total. 2 of them were not to get the elements, but the other 2 were not the same either though. One of them were to gain a key to some sort of place, and the other was to find the final boss in it. I won't say that this game would be hard to someone who always know what to do, but it does seem hard to me evan though I have beaten it. I would start it again, but I am sure there are a lot more Legends of Zelda games that I need to start. I have fun on most of them, but this one here really takes the cake. It was really fun, and yet addictive as well. Well I must say in my opinion anyone who play this game shall be amazed. If you do not like the game just know that I was only sharing my opinion. I didn't think much of it at first, and it did have a few hard battles, but after while the became really easy to do. I know O am good at thins game because I was able to gather 15 hearts, and beat this game. I got most items I was supposed to get, and most of them actually came in great handy. I have collected all the key items of this game, and that was pretty much it.
Story: 8
The story was pretty much as good as it can get. You start out sleeping in your bed, and Princess Zelda comes over to get you. She basically wants you to come to the festival in the village. I will spoil you in on most of the beginning, but that is it. Well you go around the festival, and let Zelda have her fun seeing things, and getting prizes. I forgot to mention that you have to see links uncle I think it is. Well his name is smith, and he gives you gives you a sword to deliver to the castle. You finally delivers it, and here is when your adventure starts. Vaati, comes, but it was for a good cause. There was this competition of swords, and the winner gets a sword from the black smith which was Links uncle. Vaati was the winner. Instead of claiming the sword he cause havoc in the castle. He blew up things, and he broke the sacred blade of Piccori. He turn princess Zelda into stone, and he made your adventure begin. Well your main objective was to repair the piccori blade, and return Princess Zelda back to normal with it. Well first Link sets his sights on the minish village which are tiny little bug things. They can only be seen by children though, and link was a child. I will tell you a little more, and I won't spoil nothing else. You set your sights to the Minish forest in order to get to the minish village, well you arrive there, and you have no idea how to get to minish village you start to hear help me cries, well you rush over to help the thing there was a hat with a duck mouth, and big eyes you help him from getting deku nuts from being spit at him. The hats name is Ezlo, and he talks to link a lot. He is the one that helped him shrink. That is how link was able to get into minish village. He would sing a song, and you will shrink. How to make him do it well that is for you all to find out ;). After you shrink you will have to take a express way with leaves in a pond. Then that will be your ticket to the minish village.  This game sound pretty interesting right :).
Depth: 8
I will say to you, in the beginning this game seems like a very short game, and it would only take about a day to beat. Well do not make that mistake like I did. Before you get certain elements there are side quest you have to do. Most of them are very long, and hard to do. They will leave you confused, and a little upset, because most things didn't evan need to be there. Still though a game is a game, and tat is what a game does. All games can't go straight to the end like that. Most games do, and I like most games that are like that. Still though. It is a nice thought of being able to finis so quickly :3. That is why I like this one though. This Zelda game, has big standards that actually meets the eye :). I really most enjoy this one, and I am happy I do. It was nice long, and it actually did get me where I had to go. I have to say to you though, This game has a lot of side quest you need to complete so just because you beat the story doesn't mean you beat the game. You beat the game when you fully completed everything on it.
Difficulty: 8
The difficulty of this game was actually most impressive. It was really hard, and it was some easy parts at that. What I don't like is those brain teasers, and those confusion parts. The leave my mind in a world of hell. Still though a game is a game, and most game have to be hard, I still beat it, and I still enjoyed it. It was good, and it was long, and it was a great game all together. I can't really bad mouth it much because I am sure if I made a game, I would want it to be long, and confusing. I like to see my fans find there way through the thickest, and the thin. It would be really cool to have known, all the most awesome gamers out there who actually knows what they are doing. I like to see people like that. So evan though this game was really hard, I can't complain much over it. It was still very nice, after all, and I was glad that I found this. I am really glad that I did. So I really think you all should try it out sometime. I believe you all would enjoy it :).
Overall: 9.7
Overall this was a really good game, and I was excited about beating it. I had some really good times with it, and I am glad, that I decided to give this game a shot. I don't think I ever would have liked it if I didn't look it up. I really beat it on my visual boy advance, and I still have much work to do on it. I still love this game exactly right, and I still am really happy I do. So if you guys are still just about finishing up this review. Tell me that I said this in the reply. Pickle pooper poppy pant. I know it is a little off topic, and weird, but I want to make sure the whole thing was read :P.

Shockingly Good!   drago
The Legend Of Zelda Minish Cap Is Surprisingly A Good Game. I Usually Don't Like Playing Zelda Games Which Is The Reason Why I Don't Play Them. ( I Also Don't Review Them Because I Will Give A Bad Score On A Good Game. ) It Is About Your Character Who We Will Call Link So We Don't Get Confused As You Can Change The Name Of Your Hero Like In The Pokémon Series. Link Goes To A Picori Festival And These "Picori" Only Show Up To Good Children. ( Sounds Like A Way To Keep Kids Quiet If You Ask Me. )  A Sorcerer Named Vaati Turns Princess Zelda To Stone And It Is Link's Job To Turn Her Back. On The Way You Find A Cap That Talks And It Can Turn You Into A Minish! I Won't Tell You Anymore As I Would Like You To Play The Game Yourself.
Graphics-The Graphics In This Game Are AMAZING For A Gameboy Advance, They May Even Be Good For A DS! The Animations Are Very Smooth And The Sprites Are Very Clear. The Colors In This Game Are Mostly Very Bright And Colorful.
Sound-I Like The Sound Effects And Music In The Game And The Sound Of Killing An Enemy Sounds Very Satisfying.
Addictiveness-This Game Is Very Addictive And Very Fun! The Challenging Puzzles And Enemies Make You Want To Play More!
Story-The Story Was Not A Very Big Thing In This Game But It Was Needed As If You Did Not Pay Attention To It You Would Be Stuck. If That Ever Happens Just As Your Cap On What You Should Do!
Depth-The Game Is Quite Long For A Gameboy Game But In My Opinion Most Legend Of Zelda Games Are Long. This Doesn't Make The Game Boring Though As The Puzzles Are Very Addicting.
Difficulty-The Enemies In This Game Are Not Very Strong But When In Big Hoards They Are DEADLY! ( Just Like Pikmin! ) The Puzzles Can Stump You Though And Some You Will Have To Go Back And Get An Item For.
Overall This Game Is MUCH Better Than I Expected. If You Like Puzzle Or Action RPG's This Is The Game For You!

Linkshade's Opinion 3   linkshade 121
Hello gamers, it is Linkshade 121 bringing you a review for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. As always, I will be using the same format. So let's go in depth and here it is:
Graphics-10
The graphics of this game looks great, better than any other Game Boy Advance game I ever played. It also has some good animation. I especially love the animation where Link is doing a great spin attack. In fact, I love all of his combat animations like the downward thrust to the dash attack. I can't really see any other GBA games with good graphics.
Sound-10   The music in this game happens to be quite catchy. I can't get vaati's tune out of my head after playing the game just once. It also has great remixes of classic tunes. Remember in link to the past where you have to rescue Princess Zelda from the dungeon in hyrule castle? Well at the top of Mt. Crenel, you will recognize an awesome remix a certain tune that was played in the game. Overall, best music I ever heard.
Addictiveness-10
It is extremely likely that I will play this game again. There is still many things to do even after completing the game like collecting every single figurine. Now why would you want to do that you might ask. Its because you unlock a music viewer and it is that addicting to finish and get everything like obtaining every piece of heart, perform all kinstone fusions possible, and again, all figurines. This shows you probably want to play this game all the time. And if finish, you can start again and have never ending fun, drawn into the game.
Story-10
The story in the game is a very legendary one which is why, by far, one of my most favorite ones in a Zelda game. Princess Zelda comes to take Link to the picori festival. When they go to Hyrule Castle,  the Victor of the sword tournament, releases evil onto Hyrule and turns Princess Zelda to stone. Link must find a way to break the curse. That story is good for a Zelda game because these games require to complete a quest to save the world, rescue Zelda, and defeat Ganondorf, Vaati, etc., and there you have it.
Depth-10
Even though this game only has 6 dungeons, you still have a variety of things to do. You can go to this place called Simon's simulator where you can face enemies through dreaming. You can also play that little gambling game in Hyrule Castle Town run by the brother of the figurine maker. And lastly, might as well become a farmer and help a lady get her cucoos back. Yep, lots of things to do.
Difficulty-4
This game was extremely easy for me but gets harder as the story goes on. That is why I gave this game a 4 in overall difficulty.
Overall-10
Overall, this game gets a perfect rating from me with a 10/10. The reason being awesome graphics, catchy music, very addictive, suspenseful story, Big game, and an easy difficulty. I recommend playing this game. Linkshade Out.

Zelda the Minish Cap   HakumeixShay
So, I've just defeated the final boss of this game, and I decided to make a review about it. I haven't gotten 100% completion and I'm not planning on doing so, no real point to it besides the satisfaction of getting it done. Anyway, this game overall is a wonderful game with a bit of lag and an annoying game to actually start.
Overall - 9 - Ya know, this game is wonderful, except the fact of the few problems wrong with it.
Graphics - 9 - I regret giving it a 9, but there are no 9.{#} in the drop boxes, so yeah... Anyway, this game CANNOT be played out of Mednafen, someone told me in game chat by the water element, the game should start crashing on you, and won't stop. Other than that, the differences in the graphics of the regular gameboy (the walkthrough I watched), and this game are very few, but they're still irritating. One thing that's unique about this, is that everything's there, so no worries you can still get a 100% completion if you want.
Sound - 9 - The sounds of this game are the most expected multi-adventurous tunes and link noises, and of course the text noises. Other character noises appear, but none are repetitive as Link's yelling. Some of the music is off, but it does not affect the feel of the game in the slightest, well for me.
Addictiveness - 10 - This game, I actually played it non stop, and never switched games like I do with the pokemon games and hacks, this game had me play it and keep on playing it like Megaman Zero 4, and Pokemon Light Platinum. That's enough said. I don't really feel like this has a high replay value though, IMO
Story - 6 - The story is there, and it's kind of entertaining, but is easily forgotten by the end of the first dungeon, this game is mostly about dungeon crawling, and kinstones, that's about it. The story is basically Zelda is turned to stone, evil man makes everything bad, you're supposed to make a powerful weapon to beat him, blah blah, Zelda gets kidnapped LATE, and then you beat the evil man and save Zelda. Then you're done with the main story. Oh yeah, there's no Gannon in this game, and if you won't notice if you play this, this is a prequel to The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.
Depth - 10 - This was big enough to make me un interested, the amount of kinstone fusions that you make to get more kinstones, to make more kinstone fusions, to get more kinstones and fun stuff, for more kinstones to fuse more kinstone---jkdfj, You get the point.
Difficulty - 8 - I've only found myself lost in one dungeon, the 3rd dungeon, and you would too, wait no, scratch that, I got lost GETTING, to the 3rd dungeon, second hardest was the 5th, but it was fun nonetheless.
This game is decent and you should give it a try if you're bored, I actually played this out of boredom, but ended up liking it a bit, you might too if you can look past the Kinstones. ^-^
Sad, this font doesn't work either, oh well, time to change it again. :D

Really Good Zelda Game   grantjking14
When I was in the eighth grade my friend and I were talking about Zelda games. He mentioned the Minish Cap and I had never heard of it. He told me it sucked and wasn't worth my time. He was so wrong. This game is truly one of my favorite Zelda games.
Graphics: The graphics were very good for a GBA game. Most GBA games had good graphics anyway but nobody can deny these were better than the usual.
Sound: I have always loved Zelda music. When I bought Skyward Sword I downloaded the music CD to my iPod before even playing the game. The Minish Cap was no exception.
Addictiveness: I would totally play this again. As I said this became one of my instant favorites (actually became my favorite at the second boss).
Depth: There is always stuff to do and always Kinstone pieces to collect, so no doubt you'll be playing this game for a while.
Difficulty: This was the first game I rated over a 5 in this category. This game got me stuck at times but didn't change the experience in anyway.
All in all this is an excellent game that I would recommend to anybody.

Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap Review   Marcmoney
Overall - 8.5
Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap is an awesome game to play.  I have it on my Wii as a rom in an emulator and I played it and it sure was cool.
Graphics - 10
The graphics are perfect for this game.  It shows great effects.
Sound - 9
The sound is very good.  It's just like Four Swords Adventure and the other games that would sound like a GBA or a Gamecube game of Zelda, except for Twilight Princess, that's realistic sounds sort of.
Addictiveness - 7
I would play this game once a day.
Story - 9
The story is awesome.  It obvious that Zelda gets captured...again.  I thought the one with the sword was broken and the evil person tried to do something I can't really remember much.  It was fun to watch though. :P
Depth - 8
There is a lot to do in this game.  You can shrink yourself and other ways too.  It gives you a lot of work.
Difficulty - 4
The game is not that hard.  It is quite easy if you played Four Swords Adventure or Link To The Past or those other games that are related to those graphics. :P
Wrap Things Up...
This game is a great Zelda game to play.  I recommend trying this game out, it is awesome if you love playing Zelda games, like me. :D

Rule #1 Do not fight in fight club.   seremph
I never played this game for the original system but I can say that this version is very entertaining. It is very addictive and the music is very cool. I did run into one big problem though. If you try and enter the shop in Hyrule town when you are Minish or go toward the minish shop in the bar, the game will crash. I was forced to redo the entire second dungeon because of that and it was not a fun  experience. Well it was fun but very tedious. I have yet to find any other problems. The beginning is manageable and the first dungeon can be overcome with relative ease. My main warning may be that this game is very puzzle based and if you don't know what to do then their is little that you can do. For me, I was stuck on the path to the second dungeon because I saw a an object but couldn't identify it. I spent the next 5 minutes wasting time trying to find out what it was when I realized it was a switch and I threw a bomb at it. All in all this is a great game and I would recommend buying the original if possible.

Songs, sound effects, and weird talking noises this game has great sound. The music is just like any Zelda game and is quite amazing, and don't forget those caves. Then there's those yells and epic sound effects from the items.
Graphics-8
The first time i played this game i thought, pinch me, (i was really young at the time) i thought the graphics were amazing and i still do. With the dungeons and other item graphics amazing you shouldn't be bored with the great graphics.
Addictiveness-7
After i beat the game for the first time i decided to go back through and try to 100% it and see the things I missed. During the times that I made a new file I also was obsessed with beating everything, i guess Zelda games bring the best out of me.
Story-10
With a whopping 10 is our story portion, basically the best part of the story. Before i get into the story don't forget that every Zelda game is linked, no pun intended, to all the other games as well, the thing is called the Zelda timeline. Now back to the real story, in this you meet  a new enemy and new friends and you learn about Hyrule's history.
Depth-7
The depth of this game is great for example there, like any other Zelda game,  are a lot of items. As you play through this game you will many new and old items. There is also a good majority of dungeons and puzzles that will leave you confused.
Difficulty-3
Easy controls and great game play the game is really easy to control. But while you progress the puzzles and dungeons get more difficult and more fun.
Overall-9.5
Playing this game is a great experience and i highly recommend playing it. New enemies and new bosses this game is bound to keep you on your toes. Hey who knows you could be the next hero of Hyrule!

Great Game   sfeviston
I really loved this game. I remember playing it years ago on the GBA and it is still addictive to me even now. I still love the story and the controls are so easy to master. The game has the same game play feel as earlier Zelda games (Oracle of Ages/Seasons) which made me enjoy it that much more. The graphics are very consistent and the detail put into the environment are staggering, especially while in "minish" mode. The storyline is very original while keeping to the "rescue the princess theme". There are so many side quests throughout the game that I have played this game for probably over 100 hours and still haven't totally finished the game. I guess the only thing that I didn't like about the game was the difficulty factor. The puzzles aren't very challenging and the bosses are overall very easy. But none the less, I love the game and highly recommend it to all Zelda lovers.

ZeegSerpentines Review   ZeegSerpentine
In my eyes this game is no doubt a game any person would want to play who is in fact a huge fan of the Zelda series. I honestly would recommend this game to people who loves the series.
The reason however why I would give an overall 9.5 to this game is real simple. Truth its a good game, but in difficulty I find it to be an easy but fun game at the same time. Sure it has its moments where you need to challenge your thinking and so on to get to another part of the game, but when you begin to get the hand of it turns out to be very easy and playable. Not that I'm saying its not a hard game still though mind you.
Another thing I should comment on is the side missions that can lead up and help you in the long run, for example the key stone thing matching. If you match one with another, you get something great or something appears and you can go look for it and take it as your own. A good way to get good things.

The Legend of Zelda keeps the legend strong!   Jermelle
The legend of Zelda series has always been good, this game carries on the legacy very well. For a Gameboy the graphics are very good. The story line follows the original manga with a few minor changes that are very easy to overlook, overall it's a very great story line full of interesting events and a great challenge. The controls are very easy and well explained, so easy a five year old can begin to enjoy the Legend of Zelda series!

The game itself isn't very addicting, it's a very good game to play once but after you beat the game it's not as fun as the first time you beat it, there are tons of Legend of Zelda games that you can play to get the experience of still having things to do after you beat the game, but this sadly may not be one of them. The depth of the game is another thing, you can really get into the story and enjoy some of the extra things to do, but as I  said there isn't much to really do outside of the main story line.
The Difficulty of the game is as always, very hard. The controls are easy to use but the game is hard, and that's not a bad thing! It makes the game more fun than it already is. Overall this is a great game and I recommend it to anybody, I look forward to playing another Legend of Zelda game in the future.-Jermelle

~~HEY HO THIS MAY HAVE SPOILERS IN DUE PART TO SOME QUESTS BEING EXPLAINED OR STORY ELEMENTS BEING TALKED ABOUT SO PLEASE AVERT YOUR EYES IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE THE SQUIGGLES COME ON SCREEN ON ANY PART OF THE REVIEW, THANK YOU AND HAVE A NICE DAY~~
The Minish Cap is a game created by Capcom that uses elements of their previous foray from the Oracle games and puts them into great use on the new technology that the GBA is able to provide, bringing a breath of fresh air into the Zelda universe with a unique twist to the gameplay, however despite those efforts the game didn't sell as well as the two prior games on a lesser handheld.
Some are completely mixed on this game while others say it's perhaps one of Zelda's finer adventures. On this review I'll be expressing my opinion on this game, what it did right, and what could of been improved upon the gameplay to make it much more enjoyable. Let's begin, shall we?
Graphics: Personally i'm quite in love with the graphics, based in line with the Four Swords game that originally came packed in with A Link to the Past GBA being another game they worked on and as well infusing that with the style and look of the Windwaker that came out a year before, it gives this game it's own identity. While Link looks pretty similar to how he looked then, he's now surrounded in gorgeous visuals inspired greatly by the Wind Waker's look and even down to some of the NPCs you talk to.
Sound: The sound is pretty fantastic, making use of the sound chip that's in the GBA and bringing it to it's knees. The compositions in this soundtrack all sound excellent, even including some old favorites from Link to the Past into the Sappy Engine with little to no compromises. One of the things about this game is that the characters all have Soundclips that play when you interact with things, including the NPCs. It adds a lot of the charm factor I mentioned in the Graphics section and just oozes it, without a doubt.
Addictive: I think one of the main things that make the Minish Cap it's own is the fact that it uses this feature called Kinstones, this being how a lot of the side quests in the game are done. There are various many ways you can collect them, through grass, rocks, other NPCs, depending on which ones you have you can connect them with others for rewards or to move along a side quest. There is also a lot of other side quests that aren't accessed through the use of Kinstones, though as I'll get into later with this review there is one that completely halts you to a screeching grind as you try to complete it, though like I said it'll be later down the line.
Story: ~~WHOOPS OH HEY STORY TIME YOU KNOW THE DRILL, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED BY SOME MINOR OR POTENTIALLY HUGE STUFF THEN PLEASE DON'T VIEW THIS PART OF THE REVIEW, IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD TO GET THE FULL GRASP OF THE GAME IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET~~
You're playing once again as the Hero Link, one day waking up and your best friend who's heir to the throne Zelda brings you to a festival of the Minish where once every year people gather and celebrate a sword dawned by the previous hero which was given by the Picori. The Blade is sealed within a chest to lock away the evil spirits until one day, a man known as Vaati who've won the competition to be able to touch the blade approaches and breaks the seal of the sword to only find that the chest that held it doesn't happen to have what he seeks. Vaati then encases Zelda into stone, with Link to now be the one to find the Picori and bring the Blade to it's former glory by collecting the 4 elements that once made it up to create the Four Sword.
Along his travels, he meets a fellow being attacked, with Link scurrying them off and the Hat reveals himself to be Elzo, a great Picori who was cursed into his new form and becomes acquaintances with Link to help him travel through the world and shrink down to the size of a Picori so that he can help those in need at a smaller scale. With the two together, they venture out into the world and bring peace to Hyrule and rid of the evil known as Vaati.
~~OKAY STORY TIME OVER~~
While not really being that grand of a story, I still enjoyed it! It's a lot more enjoyable as you go on though it's a typical Zelda Story, take that as you will.
Depth: In a sense, the Minish Cap isn't super in depth though like i've stated it does have Quests to go around, however there is a bit of a drawback I feel to some of the quests and there being one really good example to why you wouldn't want to go 100% in this game. Kindstone Quests typically hold a lot of the time access to other parts of the map, basically making secrets availible. Is it always worth it? Well... it really depends, you're usally getting rupees or Mysterious Shells from them.
You can also learn techniques through Tiger Scrolls at certain points at the game, usually requiring you to obtain a certain item or be at a certain point of the game, with them being in the range of quality of life stuff to actually really useful. The only hurdle really is that you got to figure out where to find each of the Dojo's of which the masters teach you. While not absolutely required to beat the game, if you can get ahold of them then you should defiently try to, they're very useful
Some sidequests allow you to get upgrades to your items such as one that allows you to upgrade your Boomerang or Your Shield, Even upgrading your invetory space, though those can be few and far between. Just so I don't spoil too much, i'll end that here. Wait... what do you mean I forgot... oh no.
So, you want to know what the Mysterious Shells are used for, huh?
That brings me to the worst side quest in any Zelda game i've had the displeasure of going for. Somewhat a ways in the game you'll have access to a shop where a man named Carlov is located, and he trades you those shells for figurines. Nothing wrong with that so far, not until you figure out that one of your Heart Pieces are locked behind this side quest. Doesn't sound so bad either... until you realize you have to collect over 130 of them. Not convinced of how bad this side quest is? What if I told you you had to collect every single figure, one by one, in a really slow manor... You can't buy multiples of them, you have to buy them one by one. It's one of the most tedious things in the whole game, and while you do get a sound test as well as rupees to go with it, but it's not at all worth that effort.
If you're really the type of completionist who wants to go for *all* of this type of stuff then I'd recommend to set aside a lot of your time because you'll be having to go through the trouble of doing a *lot* of work and sometimes it's not always rewarding.
Difficulty: Honestly i'd have to say that this game is about average, though the final dungeon takes a bit of a steep nosedive because it cause get really hard, especially if you're not fully powered up. Not only that but sometimes the difficulty can spike a bit and you'll probably have to deal with quite a lot of frustrating moments, though overall I would say it's still not too challenging if you know what you're doing
Would I say this game got overshadowed in the Zelda Series? To be honest, this is one of my favorite 2D Zelda games and while i'm somewhat a bit negative towards some of the stuff it did, it's such an overall fantastic game otherwise that I'd have to say that a lot of people generally slept on this title more then any other and that's a massive shame. I understand however that it's a pretty subjective thing and a lot of people would disagree.
This GBA adventure however over the years has not only grown on me but i've come to appreciate the aspects of it more for being a portable game with that intention in mind. Still, even with that, it has a lot of qualities that shine honestly more then some of the 2D Zeldas that i've played through and I can say without andy doubt this has to be one of my favorite playthroughs to look back on. If you can forgive some of the negatives of the game, you're looking at one of Capcom's finest and even one of the best Zelda games in the franchise.

My Review of the Legend of Zelda:The Minish cap   Brodire2012
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is a really good Zelda game for the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo made a Zelda game that doesn't have an annoying sidekick (Navi, Fi, Tale, The King of Red Lions, Midna) that follows Link though out the game. The story is great and has a Zelda touch to it and has a lot of side quests that make the game longer. The controls can be changed to what you want them to be. The puzzles have the Zelda touch to them and they are challenging and easy at times. The graphics are up to par to what Game Boy Advance games look like. Overall, if you like Zelda games, you will like this game.

Minish Cap Review   ivardds
Just finished playing through this great game and it is a load of fun! Of all the hand held Zelda games this one is my favorite. I like the little touches they added with the hat. Some of the dungeon bosses are really fun to fight. It's also has that Zelda charm of finding heart containers and hidden treasures throughout the game. This is one of the first Zeldas in the time line. This title follows the Skyward Sword in terms of time line. So if you are looking to complete the games in terms of time line order this is the second game for you to beat. Overall I feel this is an excellent game and recommend to any Zelda lover.
