Terranigma brad090
I don't know where to start with this game. I remember my dad purchased this for me when I was about eight years old. It sat idly by as I slaughtered my mortal combat 2s & Mario Karts. I eventually got bored of those & popped Terranigma in the Super Nintendo. Wow was I surprised. Being a Final Fantasy nut I have a decent grasp on what I want out of an RPG. Instantly got thrown in a world on the brink of creation. You can't help but be immersed in this new world. The movement is fluid & graphics are amicable for the time. I realized, as I progressed, about the real life references which I didn't appreciate at the time as being quite refreshing. The Game itself caters to most needs, a wonderfully changing environment, character progression & that overall feeling your actually getting somewhere. A big part that appealed to me was the aspect of the game that allowed the more then casual gamer to get that bit more out of it (if you put the time in). Giving absolutely nothing away if you feel like playing an RPG classic that will still surprise you; read this book it's well worth the taste.

ANoverall amazing game Sovrynce
At first I was a bit skeptical of this game. It seems strange early on, lots of talking and running around to do. At points in time I got lost and as we all know, that is one of the most frustrating parts of gaming. After playing for a few hours, I was really drawn into the storyline, the fighting style, as well as the characters themselves. It had a great action feeling, with a bit of something else. I wish I could describe it to everybody. Honestly play it, you maybe able to figure out what I mean. Overall I recommend if you are an action fan, take some time out, after the game you are playing give this a try. You may enjoy it as much as I did, you may not. Try it you have nothing to lose. Just give it a few hours as I did, I was left wondering *What will happen next? Did that really just happen? Wow now that is a bit messed up.* I hope all who try this game enjoy. I know I am on the hunt for more games to fill up my free time, as well as leave me wanting more as this game did

Terranigma: A Wonderful Game and Experience G789
Terranigma is an action RPG released on SNES towards the end of that system's era. Unfortunately, this game never made it to America (I've only played this on ROM). The game was made by Quintet, the same group that made Illusion of Gaia so you know what to expect if you've ever played that game, or even other action RPGs.
In terms of game play, it's fairly easy to pick up. The controls are not difficult, and I think the game adequately instructs you how to go about learning to play (plus, just experiment in the first level). The difficulty can be fairly tough at times, particularly on certain boss battles, but I wouldn't describe it as frustratingly hard; it's certainly not insurmountable (some may argue there's one exception).
The soundtrack to Terranigma is simply amazing. When you first step out of the village, the overworld (or underworld) theme gave me goose bumps. The music continues to get better in most of the subsequent levels. And some of the most memorable themes are of the other characters, which always seem to elicit the emotion they're intended to evoke.
What I love most about this game, by far, is the story. The game starts out with the usual JRPG story of a hero having to leave his village and explore for one reason or another (by the way, this protagonist has dialogue). As you progress through the game, you'll come across some pretty mature themes, such as life & death, and the concept of God as your character is beset with a great task to fulfill. There are even some references to historical figures, which I thought was pretty fun.
I would like to add that Terranigma has an interesting split, with one half the game being more about dungeon exploration game play, and the other half containing more story-related material. Keep in mind, both elements are ubiquitous throughout, just in different ratios. Both parts combine to tell an amazing story, with great game play, fueled by a wonderful soundtrack. Overall, I strongly recommend this game to everybody, and would make this game essential for any RPG/action RPG fan.
