PacmanandMariofan's Review of Super Mario Fallen Stars (Demo) I'm gonna do a review for this game because it is one of the best Super Mario 64 hacks I've ever played (and I've played a lot of them).
Graphics: 8
The graphics in this game are really great. Most of them are brand-new and I think the third course had the best graphics. There's not really much to say about the graphics, though. That's all I had. Moving on!
Sound: 9
Almost all of the music in this game is brand-new as well as the graphics. There was only one song that was re-used, and it was the credits theme from the original Super Mario 64 that was used for the "overworld" or the level that contains the course entrances. The song used for course 1 is absolutely amazing. Once I first heard it, I just couldn't get it out of my head until I listened to it again.
Addictiveness: 6
This game only has 24 stars and 4 courses, and it doesn't take too long to beat. There's not much to do in this game and I'm probably not going to play it again for a while. The game isn't too addicting for me, but for other people, it might be. You never know how addicting it will be until you try it.
Story: BLANK
There's no story to this game, it's like Mario's just going through all this trouble and collecting stars for fun. The reason why there isn't a story is because the creator of this game (Skilllux) didn't even include a Bowser fight! When you go into the pipe at the end of the Bowser course, OH WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA! I'm NOT spoiling it for you! Definitely not! If you haven't played this game, play it after you finish reading this review and find out what I'm talking about!
Depth: 6
I rated this the same number as addictiveness for the same reason: It doesn't take too long to beat, and, depending on who you are, after you beat this game you might never play this game again or play it again once in a while!
Difficulty: 7
Most of the tasks in this game are easy to accomplish, but you might have trouble with certain things depending on your skills. You need good finding skills for a few of the things in this game. I had a lot of trouble finding the pink bob-omb in course 1 that opens the cannon! The Bowser course's red coins REALLY drove me crazy, but I never gave up and I eventually found that last red coin!
Overall: 9
Like I said before, this is one of my favorite Super Mario 64 hacks and I'm one of those people that's bound to play this game again someday! You really need to try this hack if you haven't already because I think this hack is one of a kind. It may not have very much to do and it may take only an hour or two to beat the first time depending on how skilled you are, but it's a lot of fun to play and I actually felt sad when I beat the game and I knew it was over.
