Sonic Battle Review   M4g1cW4rr10r
Here we go again...Have you ever wanted your favorite video game series to be in its own fighting game? Well then, you're in for a treat! Today I'm reviewing Sonic Battle for the Game Boy Advance. Now, I've heard about this game a lot but I haven't actually seen it. After playing it for a good bit of time, I can make a conclusion about what I think.
Gameplay:
Right when you start up the game, you have to enter a name. My only problem with this is that its limited on just five letters. Besides, it’s only for multiplayer, and we'll be focusing on Story Mode. I should mention the many options on the menu. There's Story Mode, Battle
Mode, Challenge Mode, Minigames, (Only Multiplayer) etc. When you start Story Mode, you can only choose Sonic's story for the moment. This game is like Sonic Adventure where you need to play the story to unlock other character stories that all show what they do in the storyline. Here, you have to play the episode all the way through to unlock one new character that follows off where the last character's story did. Starting as Sonic, we can see Eggman throw out a robot he found called a Gizoid. The reason? It won't obey his orders. Smooth move,
man of 300 IQ, you could have just easily checked if it wasn't working. The robot washes up on the beach of Emerald Town where Sonic finds it and decides to bring it to Tails to fix. Emerald Town? Actually, a lot of these areas aren't very well named, and could have just been
named after an old zone. Anyways, Sonic and the Gizoid head over to Tails' House only to be greeted by a similar looking robot to the Gizoid, just without color. Now you get into your first fight. Every time you die or start a battle, you must choose a fighting style. Now, I’m not exactly sure how these work, but depending on your fighting style, your special moves will be changed. Each character has one specific fighting style that can allow you two spamming ground special attacks, an aerial attack, and also a defend action which is pretty much useless, as it only lasts for a millisecond. With these moves, you’re pretty much invincible if you keep alternating between them and spamming them to death. Now, the only problem is you HAVE to do this to ensure victory in Story Mode. As cheap as it is, this is what you’ll be doing the entire game. After defeating the Gizoid copy, Sonic takes it to Tails’ Lab to fix it up. While there, Tails learns that the robot can copy people’s actions. So now you will alternate in Story Mode battles by using the main character of the story and the Gizoid, who will learn character’s moves while fighting them, including some other special powers. However, to use these attacks, you must first equip them using Skill Points earned in battle. You need a ton of these just to get one move, even something pointless like color. So, here are the requirements for getting Skill Point rewards:
1 Skill Point: Win a fight but lose one or more live(s).
2 Skill Points: Win a fight without losing a live.
3 Skill Points: Win a fight against two Phis (The Gizoid copies) without losing a life.
5 Skill Points: Win a fight without getting hit.
7 Skill Points: Win a fight against two Phis without getting hit.
When I said the robot can copy actions, I wasn’t kidding. It can copy everything a character has, including their spammy special attacks. It also copies what people say, even when it uses that character’s move. It gets somewhat annoying when you have a mixed amount of attacks from different people. So, you basically want to collect every character’s move to create a broken, undefeated spamming cheater. Again, I don’t want to do this, but everyone else will do the same thing, just because every character is absurdly stronger than you. If you
can believe me, Cream is probably the strongest character in the game. Why is it that everything that looks so cute and non-threatening is the strongest thing in the world…? Cream has powerful special attacks, and super-fast healing power. You have a robot that takes 15 Skill Points just to equip one move. By the way, if you see the number 5 anywhere in a battle, that means you’ll have to do the same fight again, only this time it’s 10 of whatever. In fact, one of the recurring fights that revolve around this is fighting Gamma. You have to fight him at least twice every episode. Not only that, Gamma is strong and fast. He even has a self destruct power when he dies, which he’ll say ‘Initiating recovery mode.’ And explode. Yeah, last time I checked, an explosive suicide is not recovery. When you have to play as the robot, everything goes downhill. Since all your moves are half-based on Sonic’s, only weaker and slower, you’re going to have a tough time until you can get moves that will help you earn lots of Skill Points.
Graphics: 9
The graphics are okay, but they are re-used from Sonic Advance. Since Emerl is the only new addition to the game, I have to give them some credit for his sprites and also the rest of the stuff they did, such as the maps, the cutscenes and the 3D battlegrounds.
Sound: 8
Not a big fan of the music in this game, which is a bit of a downside for me personally, because I like Sonic music, but you have to hear the same music over and over. Since you have to do repeat battles, with the exact same music, and exact same sound effects you hear millions of times since you spam one attack to death, not only does it get old, it also get very annoying.
Addictiveness: 5
This isn’t technically a one-time game, but with how loathsome the game is for me, I just want to get it over with and never have to play it again.
Depth: 10
Now, as I have stated previously, Emerl has the power to copy movesets, abilities, and even colors of characters. Using these colors can give you combinations of many different appearances of Emerl, changing it’s eyes, horn, body, and limbs. Using these colors can give you 9000 color combinations. (And yes, it is exactly 9000.)
Story: 8
I’ve already explained the story, but in case you didn’t see it, or just skipped to this part of the review, I’ll go over it again. Dr. Eggman finds a robot known as a Gizoid. (Which is later named Emerl) The robot doesn’t answer Eggman so he throws it into the ocean where Sonic finds it and befriends it. The story for each character only follows off the previous character, so in a way, they are more so ‘Chapters’ than separate storylines.
Difficulty: 7
If I haven’t already hammered it into the review enough, I should mention once more that spamming your character’s fastest, most broken attack in a fight. This is how you will solve the majority of the fights in this game, and it’s probably the only way to beat Story Mode without too much frustration and pain, although it will happen anyway.
OVERALL: 7.3
Now, I’m not saying this is a bad game, I’m just saying it’s broken. At this point, I have nothing more to say, as I’ve said it enough and honestly if your opponents weren’t so much stronger than you I wouldn’t have to do this. But until next time, I leave you with this review.
“Go back to where you came from if you don’t want to be smashed, stomped on, and turned into ashes!” ~Amy – Sonic Battle

A Knockout, or Should-be-Knocked-Out?   Singelli
A review requested by james44028 :
OVERALL RATING: 6.8/10
For all those Sonic fans out there:  Ever wonder what happens when someone tries to combine Sonic style platforms with rpg's and Super Smash Brothers?  Play this game and you'll know exactly what happens.
I guess the level of enjoyment one gets from this game relates directly to how big of a fan they are for the little blue hedgehog addicted to speed.  I personally did not find the game much fun at all, but I've also never been a huge fan of Sonic, and the only time I succeed in Super Smash Brothers is when I -attempt- to be pummeled.  However, this being said, I can easily see why others might enjoy this whimsical game.
The plot starts off with Sonic finding a robot called a Gizoid on the beach.  Trying to revive the creature through his powers, Sonic inadvertently links to the Gizoid and it follows all his commands.  He takes it to Tails, who discovers that it can copy fighting moves and become more powerful by observing chaos emeralds.  Sonic decides to give it more power and so he travels the world to collect emeralds.  The problem is that Sonic seems to fight with more characters than get along with them, and he always solves his conflicts through violence (even beating up on evil bat girls that insist on crushing on him!).  There are actually eight stories in this game which can be encountered through choosing one of eight Sonic characters as your sprite.  Each character has the loyalty of Emerl, the Gizoid.  The only problem with this is that the stories are very similar and can't be skipped, meaning you have to watch all the cut scenes all over again if you wish to see each plot.
In addition to the story plot, you can also play the game in a multi-player mode, battling other players in a manner reminiscent to Super Smash brothers. In this mode, there are ten characters to choose from, and each character has three moves, which you can designate as being an aerial move, a ground move, or a guarding move.  This simply means one attack can only be performed while mid-jump, one can only be performed with both feet on the ground, and one can only be used to block damage.
GRAPHICS: 7/10
In my opinion, the graphics are a bit cheap.  Most areas on the map and unimportant graphics are 3D, but the characters themselves are only 2D.  While Paper Mario was made infamous for its paper thin characters, the lazy sprites just don't cut it in Sonic Battle.  It's not appealing at all to play a 2D character in a 3D battling map when the character can jump onto raised plateaus and attack mid-air.  Everything creates a generic shadow no matter how many dimensions its made of, but movement and position can become quite frustrating, which makes it hard to appreciate the small detail.  For example, many times when you try a mid-jump attack it will appear as though you are aligned to strike your enemy, but both you and your enemy will simply kick and punch at empty air, unable to do anything else until your feet are on the ground.
The graphics -are- colorful though, and there are a lot of textures and little details too look at.  Disappointingly, the maps, the battlefields, and the game world seem rather small.  Battlefields are in a limited flat world with a few raised plateaus. Although you can't fall off the map edges, nothing exciting exists beyond them, giving you a simple blue color to look at and distinguish your character's movement limitations.  Also, the characters (in my opinion), are pretty poor representations and almost seem to be drawn by a non-professional artist.  That being said, they are drawn better than I could ever hope to achieve.
Although I wasn't personally impressed, I didn't rate the graphics very low because they aren't horrendous on the eyes.  They're colorful, the representations are moderate, and in the end the aesthetic details bring a lot to the picture.
SOUND 4/10
The game offers little in the terms of sound.  There are two or three main terms during game play, songs that play during cut-scenes, and sound effects that occur during battle.  I wasn't found of the plot songs, but they weren't ear-burstingly horrible, either.  They seemed to be of a poorer quality though and felt to be pretty uninspired.  The song played during the battle with Rogue (and at other points in the game) was really the only one I felt to be worth my time listening to.  It had a certain 'Sonic' quality that I enjoyed, and I also appreciated its upbeat nature.
During battle, players experience every sound effect expected during fighting games.  There's the little 'whop' of fists flying through the air, the exclamations of success, and the grunts of physical exertion while trying to strike the enemy.
The most -annoying- sound is the buzzing sound as text crosses the screen.  Aside from that, sometimes the characters will shout out an appropriate blurb like "What?" or "Yeah!", and I find the little statements to also be irritating.  Other than the out-of-place sound made when regenerating health, these little quips of noise weren't unique at all.
ADDICTIVENESS: 7/10
Again, I'd have to say that how addictive you find the game completely depends on how much you worship Sonic games in general.  For me, it seemed as though the creators of this game tried a little too hard to mix three genres of game play.  The game would have been more successful with two types of game style in my opinion.
However, the game at least DOES have a story, which encourages fans to continue playing the game.  The cut-scenes progress the story rather nicely, so that the player doesn't get too terribly bored with the generic fights.  Also, the fact that characters can 'level up' is a huge plus.  The robot Emerl is the most customizable since he can learn whatever moves he sees used during battle.  Due to this neat fact, there are literally more than a hundred moves Emerl can learn, so you're guaranteed a unique robot each time you play.
If story mode were the only way to play Sonic Battle, I'd likely give this category a rating of 5/10.  However, it's the "Battle Mode" which allows me to give a higher score when it comes to addictiveness.  More than likely, the multi-player mode is the icing on the cake for most players.  With the ability to duke it out between three other players, it's hard to put this game down when you're playing with friends.  The battles are much more simplistic than Super Smash brothers, but the simplicity holds its own charm.  Even if you can't find three people to play with, the game will give you NPC's to battle instead.
You can either play in survival mode where the first player to lose all their lives loses, or you can play in KO mode, where the player with the most KO's after a set amount of time wins.  You can customize each fight in a number of ways, including choosing the battlefield, choosing NPC opponents and their difficulty, and who goes on what team if you choose to play in team mode.
As with most Sonic games, the key aspect to the battle mode seems to be speed. Health bars are so small that it's common for KOs to occur before a minute has even taken place.  Attack moves are quick, sprite regeneration is (reappearing after a KO) is quick, and movement is quick.  The only part of battling that doesn't seem quick is when you attempt to recuperate health.
STORY: 8/10
The writers of this story did a nice job incorporating Sonic themes and motifs. Sonic's goal, as always, is to spoil the plan of evil Dr. Robotnik and his friends are more than willing to help him along the way.  There's nothing all that confusing about the story and although cut-scenes are a little too frequent and a little too long, they do a sufficient job of keeping the player in the loop.  There were only a few minor details I didn't like about the story.  For one, the main world map is ridiculously small.  Any time the story progresses and your goal is to move to a new location, you simply must move about the small grid and find a white circle to click on.  There's nothing ever physically added to the map, no characters walking around, and nothing other than a white circle to designate the next part of Sonic's tale.  Furthermore, most of the time there is only one circle to find, causing game play to be extremely linear.  In the few cases there are two circles, this is simply due to the fact that one of the circles can't be fully completed at that point in time.
Due to this aspect of the game, it's hard to peg this game as an rpg.  The only thing that gives the title some viability is the fact that the story is strewn throughout the game quite frequently.  However, the game really feels more like a fighting game that tries to pass itself off as an rpg by using a favorite game canon.
The only other aspect of the game I didn't like is Sonic's arrogance.  I know Sonic is supposed to be a confident character, but in my opinion his pride was a little over the top in this game.  I especially disliked his spats with Rogue, in which he brags about having lines of women waiting for a chance to date him.  It seemed ridiculously out of place for a game like this, and for a game designed for younger children.  I suspect that younger children might get a small giggle from it, but they also might not understand the implications that Sonic is a 'lady's man'.
DEPTH: 6/10
Although the story mode mainly consists of battles, there's a lot of time that can be put into it.  Battles are separated by bits and pieces of plot, and the story is quite lengthy.  Besides that, customizing Emerl is a huge part of the game.  Since there's so much he can learn, players can spend quite a bit of time trying to get just the right specs and combination of moves.  I'd guess that the most skilled players would take about 10 hours to fully complete the game.... which is not bad at all.  For other gamers, I can see 25-50 hours being spent in the story mode.
In addition to story mode though, who can forget Battle Mode?  All in all, there's enough to keep any level of gamer busy for quite some time.
DIFFICULTY: 4/10
This was probably the most difficult category to rate for this game.  On one hand, battles in story mode or with NPC's seem too easy and Emerl quickly overpowers all enemies if set up correctly.  On the other hand, controls can be finicky and positioning of your character in relation to a foe's can be quite frustrating.  The fact that main characters can only have three moves is something to consider in and of itself. In ANY battle, you can not ever see your enemy's health, meaning you never know who's on top until it's too late.
If you can get the hang of controls though, even beating a group of game generated enemies doesn't take much effort.  NPC's are not very intelligent and easily walk into any traps you set for them.  They aren't very good at dodging your attacks, and oftentimes they spend too much time vulnerable because they are concerned with recuperating health.  They -do- get stronger as the game progresses, but they don't ever seem to increase in intelligence.
The only way then, to increase the challenge, is to play against human characters.  In this case, you want to play characters like Sonic and Amy who have a higher speed, because battles move along so quickly.  There's not a whole lot to the battle aspect other than aligning yourself with your foe just right and then mashing a bunch of buttons. However, the liveliness makes up for the lack of variety in fighting styles, and I can imagine it being a blast to play with friends.  This is really the part that makes up for all other shortcomings.
Overall, even though I'm not a -huge- fan, I would recommend this game to Sonic lovers.  It's got enough plot to keep someone busy for hours on end, but the plot in and of itself can get wearisome.  Therefore my recommendation is more geared towards people who like to duke it out on screen.  If you enjoy teaming up with your buddies in game and throwing punches, Sonic Battle might be your kind of game.  Players get to fight using epic moves like Spin Dash and Cream's chao pet, so I'm sure Sonic's fan base would be thrilled.

rocks or feels like a rock   theironhide
for my fifth review on vizzed i'm going to review sonic battle for the gba. sonic battle was the second fighting game of sonic (the first one being sonic the fighters) and the only one i've played (since s t f is unplayable on this site) do i like this game, or shouldn't it be a game? lets find out
WARNING: THIS REVIEW WILL BE VERY LONG MAINLY BECAUSE I TRY TO GET A LOT OF VIZ TO HIRE THE PLAYSTATION ITEM
with that said :lets get started with my review now ok
graphics :8 what do you get if you combine the graphicstyle of the sonic advance trilogy with a 3d background? then you pretty much get the ones of this game. the graphics look really cool, especially the 3d backgrounds. i know what you're thinking: if they're so good then why are you rating only an 8 out of 10? well that is mainly because i don't think the 2d characters and the 3d stages fit with each other so thats why. however the graphics are still very good for gba standarts
sound :8 WHAT?! ANOTHER 8?! well the music just seems kind of unmemoriable to me, which is weird because this is a game from a series thats known for its epic soundtrack after all. the sound effects are pretty cool in my opinion. sure its kinda akward to hear emerl with voices of sonic tails knuckles shadow rouge amy and cream (since chaos and gamma have no voices) at the same time (depending on emerl's moveset) but the sound effects are still really good since you can hear punches and other attacks very well and the voices fit with the attacks so i just give it an 8 out of 10
addictiveness :10  kinda predictable since i like fighting games and i'm really a huge sonic fan so yeah if you combine it i almost can't stop playing. the entire game in itself is very addictive and very fun to play. like most 2d games it is simple and yet very addictive. man the only way it whould be even more fun and addictive is if mario was here as well so i could use sonic, or even better: shadow, to beat the crap out of him (maybe that with come when SOMEONE HACKS THIS GAME!). however even though the story mode is some what cheap since this game cheats a lot (especially when playing as rouge) its still pretty fun to play through and the game is overall addictive and fun
story :9 the story is pretty intresting in my opinion. emerl is dicovered by dr ivo robotnik or dr eggman who wants to use him to take over the world, but emerl doesn't obey him. in fact he doesn't do anything so dr robotnik or dr eggman kicks him a couple of times but emerl still does nothing so dr robotnk or dr eggman just trows him away like a pile of trash. because of it sonic finds him and without knowing it he activates a link that lets emerl obey him. but at the same time dr robotnik or dr eggman, shadow and rouge try to get it at the same time and each of them for another reason. dr robotnik or dr eggman wants to use him to take over the world, shadow wants to destroy emerl to advoid a lot of trouble happening and rouge wants to train emerl to become the ultimate robot thief. each playable character (eccept for chaos and gamma) has his or her own story line or chapter or however you want to call it (the one of rouge being my least favorite because of how hard and cheap it is and the one of emerl being my favorite because it gives you the posibility to get skils from every playable character including gamma and chaos). after you beat one story line you unlock another until you get emerls chapter. here dr robotnik or dr eggman completed his weapon and wants to destroy the world with it (SPOILERS HERE not really dr robotnik or dr eggman just uses it for intimidation so everyone thinks he wants to do this and gets scared of him so the word is his). so emerl enters it and you have to fight dr robotnik or dr eggman. after you defeat dr robotnik or dr eggman ,INSANE AMOUTH OF SPOILERS, he'll activate another link to make emerl evil. but it works better than he hoped since emerl wants to destroy the earth because of it instead of helping dr robotnik or dr eggman to take it over. so sonic enters too, and puts up a fight with emerl (who has all of the ultimate attacks you can unlock in tails'base or lab). after you defeat emerl, he will say his last words, explode and well die (so sad i liked him a lot). and that is pretty much all i can say about the story, so yeah lets just go to the depth, shal we?
depth :8 the depth of the game is suprisingly good. the story mode is very big (having 8 chapters? thats a lot to play trough), the battle mode and multi player is fun and this game even has a couple of suprisingly addictive mini games.even if emerl is not good enough for you, you can costumise his move set and even unlock new moves (for me it took forever to get shadows chaos burst for emerl) maybe you will be able to unlock all super abilitiesif you are good enough (or if you just use the save and load option this site gives you for every retro game on it so you can keep retrying the fights) overal pretty much stuff to do for a fighting game on a handheld and that is why it gets an 8 out of 10. lets just get over with the difficulty
difficulty :8 the difficulty of this game is insane. emerl starts very weak (making the first knuckles battle insanely difficult), some characters are very hard to get used to and the a i cheats almost every time by spamming a lot of annoying moves and combos around (not to mention about gamma's self destruct when he dies which deals an insane ammouth of damage). speaking of which now i'm going to talk (more) about the story chapter of rouge. in this annoying chapter, every enemy cheats, rouge is kinda hard to master and some battles are just down right unfair. the amy and sonic battle took me 6 f**ing weaks to beat and then there is the fact that you even have to fight sonic tails and knuckles in one fight while being alone. hard as hell. the difficulty is overal unfair and extremely frustrating at some points, especially when playing trough the chapter of rouge
overal :9 sonic battle is a very enjoyable fighting game which you really should play if you like sonic and / or like fighting games i highly recomend it

depth :8 the depth of the game is suprisingly good. the story mode is very big (having 8 chapters? thats a lot to play trough), the battle mode and multi player is fun and this game even has a couple of suprisingly addictive mini games.even if emerl is not good enough for you, you can costumise his move set and even unlock new moves (for me it took forever to get shadows chaos burst for emerl) maybe you will be able to unlock all super abilitiesif you are good enough (or if you just use the save and load option this site gives you for every retro game on it so you can keep retrying the fights) overal pretty much stuff to do for a fighting game on a handheld and that is why it gets an 8 out of 10. lets just get over with the difficulty
difficulty :8 the difficulty of this game is insane. emerl starts very weak (making the first knuckles battle insanely difficult), some characters are very hard to get used to and the a i cheats almost every time by spamming a lot of annoying moves and combos around (not to mention about gamma's self destruct when he dies which deals an insane ammouth of damage). speaking of which now i'm going to talk (more) about the story chapter of rouge. in this annoying chapter, every enemy cheats, rouge is kinda hard to master and some battles are just down right unfair. the amy and sonic battle took me 6 f**ing weaks to beat and then there is the fact that you even have to fight sonic tails and knuckles in one fight while being alone. hard as hell. the difficulty is overal unfair and extremely frustrating at some points, especially when playing trough the chapter of rouge
overal :9 sonic battle is a very enjoyable fighting game which you really should play if you like sonic and / or like fighting games i highly recomend it

Sonic Battle Review   linkmaster99
A little more information for you guys. I will be adding a few more categories of my own into this review ;).
Okay, now this is a game, that I used to own on the original Game Boy, advance, and When I tell you I was impressed this was one of the finest games I have ever seen on the system. For all those sonic fans out there I will tell you this. You are smashing your enemies in a all out battle. This was a nice game, it had some 2 D sprites, but the made it into 3 D sprite animations. Nice game huh. Blowing your enemies back, with, A raging fist, and you get to play with most characters that you can think of. Sonic, Shadow, Cream, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Chaos, E 102. Emerl. Those are some fascinating characters, and this is a really fascinating game. It had me in for a loop for a while, because I have never seen a sonic game punch, and kick like this before. It was absolutely amazing, and it was my first favorite sonic game on the game boy advance. I believe if you all give it a shot, you all would probably love it. I am just saying this right now. If you decide to play it you are really in for it. Now time for the real review to begin :D.
Graphics: 9
Well I really could not say much on the graphics, further more I am saying that this game, is actually looking pretty awesome. It was great, and it really bumped out the 3 sonic Game boy advance games to me. This game has amazing animations, and should be a lot more well respected over it all. I really enjoyed playing a classical sonic game that has no type of errors to me. Fun yet addictive, and all at the same time, this game never failed to let me see the good quality of this game. Amazing right. The graphics, are mostly from the original sonic games where your race across, a act, but as I already said, they use the animations to smash there foes in a all out battle. That is what I found really interesting. This game really meet all the expectations on my book, because I really never seen a sonic game where you can fight. That is pretty sweet comparing how the game looks. I gave it a 9 of all things because it is really sweet, and epic at the same time. I don't honestly think this game could improve on anything else because it was already good enough for me. On looks, and on the game play period. Nice, and had me wowing every where. I can't believe I am saying this, but I actually quit in the middle of church just to play this.
Sound: 8
The video games sound wasn't all that perfect, but I did enjoy it a whole bunch. Most times I didn't evan listen to real music. I would go onto the sound track of this game, and just listen to music from there. I know that seems a little creepy, but back then when I was a really little kid. I wasn't much of a fan for bands, rap, hip hop, pop etc. I used to always spend my time listening to game music. Some times I slip up, and start to hum some game music. This game sound was interesting, and the sounds that they made while they fight were not all bad either. Pretty decent, and nice going. I felt over joyed that I had a opportunity to play this game. It was really satisfying, and had me on the run to play some more. Still though, the sound of a game can still get to me to the point where I start singing along :P. What can I say though, I am a sucker for music, and game music as well. It was nice, and very enjoyable, and it popped me right in the ear. I quite much enjoyed this, and I do plan on playing this game very soon :D. I hope you all enjoy so far, and hopefully do not think too very lightly of this game though :).
Addictiveness: 7
Well as you all know for what I said so far, I take this game to be very intriguing, and fun. So to me that means addictive. This was a however strange game though. It was confusing to. This game has it's time to confuse you. What a mean is this game you can actually run around outside battle. Well sometimes they don't tell you where to go so you have to find the place on your own. The thing is that always had me at a pit stop is how you run into a robot that is more than enough for you o handle. So the thing is your partner is not fully developed yet so he is weak, and you have to take care of 2 strong robots on your own. However your partner will be of use at times. That is what I mean by confusing. After getting the life beaten out of you. The give you the option, and by option there is only 1. You have no choice but to fight. This is a challenging game, and it was sometimes hard at certain parts. Still though if you like challenges than this right here is the game to play. Sonic Battle is awesome, and I know it. Always so great, and gets me to rise to a wonderful, but hard challenge.
Story: 6
I was waiting to get to this category. This game does not have much of a story, but it seems that each character, has there ultimate story to tell. First up Sonic. This is the tale of how Sonic the Hedgehog came across a robot along the beach. That robot was made by the evil Dr. Egg man, but Sonic the robot wasn't that much Sonic didn't suspect that at all. Well sonic became fond of that robot, and eventually they became friends, but however the robot was really weak, and sonic decided to train the little thing. Well this is where it starts to get interesting, and the first battle is here. Well shadow the Hedgehog appeared, and tried to take the robot. Well sonic was not going for it, and so they battles. Well most likely if you were good you would have to win that battle because it was extremely easy. Well of coarse you win the battle, and then that is when tails appear. Well I can't explain all the story, but a brief passage on most stories. Now tails story is how he takes the gizoid to the main computer in central city. I think it is called that. Well this time Tails and Gizoid made a confrontation with Rouge. They had to fight, and Rouge toyed with them a little. Rouge's story. She steals Gizoid, and tricks it into doing bad things, and Amy Rose is always trying to stop her. Knuckles Story. Him, and Gizoid goes through night Babylon, and have so issues with some other robots called guard robos foiling there plans to get gizoid stronger. Amy Rose story. She, and giziod does some intense training to help Gizoid get stronger, but still there are some who was out for that Robot. Cream and Cheese story. They both investigate Dr. Egg mans lab, and get attacked by a lot of robot. They are armies of robot's going out and around, but a few robots stayed back as well. Well Cream, Cheese, and Gizoid had to fight them. Shadow's story. Well I believe shadow was out helping Sonic, and the rest so e was training Gizoid, but Him being one of the best characters on the game they toughened up the difficulty a bit. It was a pretty hard story to do. So then they put you up against the toughest battle ever. You are gizoid, and you have to fight Sonic, and Shadow Teamed up. Lastly The Gizoid. You can train, and get all your abilities copied from each character, and them do the final act of the game. That  is fight egg man. Although if you beat egg man which was sort of hard, you will have to fight Gizoid with sonic. Reason is because he will become to powerful, and he won't be himself anymore. Well Let's just say. He will dramatically over power, and then he will have his original power's that are really unbeatable. Well you will beat him though. That is pretty much all the stories. The good thing is you can go an play them again if you want. Any one you want.
Depth: 6
Well it really wasn't to hard to beat or won't be to hard to beat if you have already experienced it in battle. That means that if you beat it already it wont take such a long time to beat. The highest estimate if time I would give it is about a day, and a half. The story of each characters are all getting harder the more you unlock. This game is actually pretty intense with that. Still I don't think you should worry much though, because it really wouldn't be to hard. I say this because as you get farther into the game the easier it gets because you know how to play more. Still though that does not stop the story from getting hard. I have to tell you most parts on this game will actually hold you farther back than most things. Like what I told you before, that Sonic vs Shadow Part. You will really need to prepare for it. I honestly have to say I think that was the hardest part on the game. Evan though I beat it I was always held back for a while on that part. It was nice when I finally Got past it though. I was truly happy. So when it takes a lot to beat just know that I say yes. It is like hardened hard. That would be the difficulty I would give it. So now you know you have been warned about that part.
Difficulty: 6
This game is actually quite hard on most parts, and it actually quite easy on some as well. It was very hard on that part I been explaining over in the other section. Still though there are more or so harder parts than that. I would say that those fights in knuckles story were pretty hard to get around. Also those fights when I had to use knuckles, and fight off those robots. I had some trouble trying that training Rouge was trying to give me. It was actually hard because of when she said I cannot get hit by here, and my run wasn't all that good at the moment. Also The fight with egg man was sort of hard, and the second fight with him had me really upset. I still must say though. Over all that toughness of this game. I still quite enjoyed myself. So as I said before, all you Sonic fans out there. If you are up for a challenge. I know a game that would satisfy you a whole bunch. So get a move on, and come try out sonic battle the game on the Game Boy Advance ;). It is fun, and it will be better if you play it.
Overall: 9.5
Well as I bragged, and bragged on this game. It overall is a really nice game, and I was really happy I got the chance to play it. It was nice all around, and on the inside a slick hard game to beat. I wouldn't be expecting a whole bunch from it, but I believe it will be enough to keep you all happy. I know it will unless you are not real Sonic team Fans. If it did it for me I am for certain it can do it for all you guys as well. This game is one of a kind, and very interesting, and indeed yes challenging. I can't really say it was too challenging, but I did quite like it, and appreciate it a whole bunch. It got me all riled up to play some more, and more. Sooner I was really happy with finally completing this game. All around it was fun, and it always let me have the fun I wanted. I really believe you guys would like it, and I really hope you all enjoy it as well. Nice fine game, and very passionate at that :).

sonic battle:the best gba sonic? or the unholy grail of hell?   the protoman
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, children of all ages are like...... welcome! protoman here! And I  am going to wissel my way through the game....... sonic battle! Be sure to ask for more game reviews cause I won't make much which means the next game review might be yours!
now without further difficulties..... lets start this review!
I AM GOING TO START WITH THE STORY!...... which is obvious because...... why not....
the story is about egg man (wasn't he called Robotnik sometime)  finding a robot named gizoid, which is supposed to be the strongest robot ever made. But gizoid does not listen to robotniks commands and egg man throws him away. Sonic then finds gizoid at the beach and they immediately become friends. Egg man then finds out that the gizoid needs to make a link with him and wants him back. Sonic finds out that chaos emeralds can make gizoid stronger but since he does not know his name he calls him "emerl". They then search for the emeralds. Also knuckles gives emerl a more aggressive manner and that involves emerl..... a lot.....
did I mention knuckles is my favourite character....I don't know.... maybe I have something for red characters..... knux and protoman.....
any way! Rouge gets permission to hang out with emerl.... instead of doing that she wants to train him to become "the ultimate jewel thief".... which fails because emerl then sees rouge as his mother which she hates and eventually after a battle with sonic and co. She gives the gizoid back..... even tough she won. However if you go with emerl to rouge in knux story she asks you if you want to play.... she also shows a love interest in knux. knux however doesn't show it back.
I know you like it knux... I know you do....
emerl then needs to see Amy as his mom as rouge just doesn't except that anymore. He does has to get used to it since he calls her things like "chick" or "baby" or "babe". And  he speaks to her on a way knux would speak to anybody like "will yah".
sound: there is little sound in the game. There is the peace full song from emerald coast. The city like song in the city. The party song in night Babylon. And of course the mystical song in the master emerald temple. There are boss battle sounds too! And in battle punch sounds.
addictiveness: i.....must.....play......i....must....play..... I FREAKING LOST THE GAME!!!! must.....play.....again.....
yep! This game is addictive....
depth:the only things you find are cards which emerl needs to have because else your gonna be stuck you whole live. Now I just want to say:.......get them cards or emerl is dead.... and sometimes emerl does not get the card you want.
difficulty: the game is harder then it looks. It gets harder every episode.

Sonic Smash Out   Dragoon Sword88
Sonic battle is a fighting game where you can play as the Sonic characters during the Emerl saga. The game is basically where you fight up against other characters, unraveling the story of a robot named Emerl. This game has mostly fighting but has some RPG elements, and mini games if you ever need a break from constant battling.
Story: The story is when Dr. Eggman (Sonic's  long time nemesis) resurrects a ancient fighting robot called "Gizoid", unable to listen to his commands Dr. Eggman decides to toss the robot at Emerald Beach, where Sonic the Hedgehog finds it. Later on Sonic decides to name it Emerl for how it is powered by Chaos Emeralds. Emerl then makes friends with Tails, Knuckles, and all of Sonic's other friends (accept Rouge and Shadow). But Shadow feels as though Emerl is a threat and is set on destroying it, while Rouge plans to make Emerl into a thieving robot. After obtaining data from Emerl before he decided to toss it he was able to make copies of Emerl that listen to his commands. He uses them to find and capture though you fight them to protect Emerl (and yourself) that is all I'll say on the story (sorry if there is any spoilers).
Controls: Just a quick bit on controls the arrow keys are to move. The z button is to jump/select an action. The x button is to attack/decline an action. The a button is to guard/heal and charge Ki (tap to guard, hold to heal and charge Ki). The s button is to use your specials (depending if in the air or on the ground). Select is to go to Emerl's menu in story mode.
Emerl: The character Emerl is the entire RPG element in the game. In story mode you can customize Emerl to fit your fighting style, so long as you have the Skill points (needed for emerl to do everything) to do so.
Battle System: The battle system is similar to that of Super Smash Bros. Where you can change the rules of battle (except you can't use items), and choose the arena of your choice. The main difference is that the arenas are in a 3-D format instead of a 2-D format.
Sound: The music is sketchy in the online version but is better in the real version.
Difficulty: The game is fairly challenging for those who are not experts in fighting games, if you are then it shouldn't be too difficult.
This game is not for all players it is mostly constant fighting so its more built for fighting game fans. The mini-games are a nice touch but only accessible in multi-player (which cannot be done on this site).
So if you are a Sonic/fighting game fan than this is the perfect game for you.

What the criminal thinks about Sonic Battle   StealStealer
The graphics that I would give to this game would be a 10/10. What? Hey, don't judge me, this game was in like the early Sega years. This is probably one of the best graphics for a Game Boy Advanced game!
The sound, I rated 10/10 also. Why you ask? Because I could just go into a random battle, pause it, and just listen to the music for like a few hours! What about the sounds in the dialog and when you're fighting? To me, those sounds are like I'm actually with them in real life! Now by now you might be saying," Steal Stealer you MUST be crazy!" Well, I just have a big imagination. Now onto the next rating!
Now I rated 8/10 for this game being addictive. I did spend the last few days getting skill points and skills, but when you get like almost all skills and have maxed skill points, it will kinda get slow and boring.
I rated the story 7/10. It's a really good story if you just read the dialog and not do the fighting, but I feel like they should have done at least 2 more "stories". I just think they should have added a story for Gamma and Chaos. I mean, you have to admit they should have at least made a secret story that you could play as chaos. Yes, he it Over Powered but so is Emerl when you get all his ult skills. And I think they should have had Sonic go Super in the final battle. I haven't actually seen the Sonic X episodes of Emerl Saga but I have seen the ending. Even though Sonic didn't go Super in Sonic X, they didn't make the final battle Cream and Cheese vs Emerl like in Sonic X.
I rated Depth 8/10. It depends on how you play the game. If you are an MLG at this game then you might beat it like in a few hours. Some of us would like to get maxed skill points and all the skills before facing Dr. Egg man. Me? Well I just do it randomly, I could go in and face Egg man when I get the chance to, or I could go and fight chaos until I have all of his skills, or many more.
Finally I rated the difficulty 9/10. Some of you might be saying "Seriously? I could beat this game with my eyes closed!" Well, that's good for you but me, I like taking my time. This is the first time I have played Sonic Battle. I first got stuck for about a day when Tails wanted me to do 5 Up Drifts. At the time I didn't understand what to do but now I do! Next, I was stuck at the part where you had to avoid getting hit by Rouge. Now don't get mad at me, at that time I didn't have a run skill so the default run skill was slow. Luckily I went back to do Tails story and got his run. Now this is the last one I got stuck in, and I got unstuck yesterday! It was Knuckles story and it was at the part where it was you (Knuckles) V.S. 3 Chaos Gammas. Now you may say some strategies to use but at the time I was a melee person. I didn't use those special attacks. But I got out of that situation and, well, finished the game! I hope you guys enjoyed my review!

Sonic Battle   partyawesome
Graphics:For the game boy advance these are pretty good graphics, I once had a game boy advance myself and the graphics were not as good as these even though all the games I had were metroid fusion and super Mario bros .3
Sound: I don't have any sound on my computer so I can't exactly describe it
Addictiveness: I sort of get addicted to this giving my emerl more skill points but it gets less addictive because I got all the character combos and I can kill other players soo easily
Story : The story is great with emerl being kicked out by eggman and sonic comes to get him and you train him all during the game and give him chaos emeralds and different cards to power him up and then at the end of the game you get to fight your powered up robot to the death
Depth: The game isnt that big with all it's places but this game is still a big game with summit, central city, and more
Difficulty: This isnt a hard game for me because i have all the character combos which do a insta-kill with a hundred percent attack

ddeltaroxx review's   ddeltaroxx
First I should say that people are entitled to their opinions but I think low rating people obviously spend too much time playing the Xbox 360 or PS3 and don't know how hard it is to make a game like this for the GBA. Now with the rant out of the way lets get reviewing.
it starts off plain and simple sonic finds Emerl on a Beach and takes it to Miles (Tails) Prowler's lab for a bit of testing and training. After that the game picks up a bit.
Combat: I liked how these guys put a 3D fied into a GBA. I also liked how each character as different moves and how Emerl can copy and use your favorite characters moves (Shadow Fan). What is interesting to me is the special moves system, yea sure every fighting game has some sort of special move system but it isn't restricted to 1 move but 2. The block special also gives puts a bit of luck and guessing into selecting your moves. Healing is also a nice touch to the game. Low on health an waiting for you opponent to re spawn? Heal and last a bit longer
Characters: It's sonic related, nothing new.
Sound: well nothing too interesting but the BGM for the fighting is enjoyable.
Controls: Fairly simple controls up moves north, south moves south, and so on. The D-Pad is also used to go straight for the Power hit or strike a poor fool that's trying to attack from behind.
Difficulty: Some battles are hard then others obviously. HOWEVER that doesn't mean it's a straight forward difficulty rise. For example I found a Sonic story fight that was Harder then a Rouge story fight. Now that isn't always a bad thing, it forces you to use your brain a little more and plan your next move.
Graphics: if you've Played (or watched someone play) Pokémon Black/White (and I'm talking about the battles not the world walking) then you know how the graphics look
what haven't we touched on??? Oh right how fun it is.
Addictiveness: It's a Fighting type game (as the name implies) and lots of fun and is better with friends. I would recommend digging out your old GBA or GBA SP and get this game if you know someone who has the game and play with them.
Well I hope you enjoyed my review. Now you might be thinking "but wait he forgot to do more about the story" well my keyboard has issues with the RGR plugin, I don't have a PC controller, my data was deleted (I'm going off of memory) and I'm to lazy to write more (hey at least I was honest). This has been ddeltaroxx reviews and I'm ddeltaroxx signing off (too much TV XD)

Sonic Battle!   VizzedGuy111
Sonic Battle (GBA): Review
By: VizzedGuy111
A Sonic fighting game that combined both elements of  Super Smash Bros. and a beat em up game. Hm, interesting... Anyway I'm VizzedGuy111 and I'm going to review Sonic Battle for the Gameboy Advance. This game was released in 2003 and was published by Sega and THQ and it is the second fighting game of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The first fighting game was Sonic the Fighters, and it plays more like a fighting game in the other hand Sonic Battle is different.
   - Different Fighting Mechanic
   - Different Characters
   - Different Story (In which I don't want to spoil the story to you.)
   - Minigames
   - Better Multiplayer Mechanic
   - and more
Anyway like nearly always, this review will be consisted of 6 main topics, Graphics, Sound, Addictiveness, Story, Depth, and finally difficulty to support the overall. The overall will determine if the game is good or not.  However, it is my overall so don't fight over with comments like, "Oh, this game is bad." or " I think Sonic the Fighters is better!" I'm okay with those comments but please don't  spam or have a quarrel. So, anyway let's battle to the review! :)
Graphics 6/10
The graphics are okay, I guess? Anyway, let's talk about the sprites first. The sprites aren't too bad. You have the character sprites and they are quite detailed. You also have full character sprite's (you know from the story and the intro) and they are also quite detailed but a little different from the original sprites from Sonic Adventure.
Now, the landscape. The landscape isn't too bad. In my opinion, I think the landscape took some time to create and I think that's okay. First of all there is the story landscape, in which there are buildings, grasses, sand, roads, and more. There is also the battling landscape in which you get to see while battling opponents. You get to see them in a isometric perspective and I find it interesting for being it in a GBA. The landscape is a bit different because it's a little detailed than the story landscape. You have the ground and the rising of the landscape in which you could probably use them to your advantage.
Finally, let's talk about the animation. The animation is smooth and actually quite quick. The reason why it is quite quick is because of the battle gameplay. The gameplay is quite quick, like punches, walking, and things like that.
   So, I give it a 6/10 rating.
Sound 7/10
The sound is actually quite good! Although it feels like a Sega Genesis or a Sega Mega Drive, it does at least have voice acting and that's kind of interesting and you would be kind of motivated. Also, the sound effects while battling opponents are quite good too. You have punching and kicking sounds, plus guarding effects and etc.
The music is quite addicting to hear. You have the story hub and you have Emerald Beach and they're pretty catchy for being on the GBA. However, sometimes you hear them most of the time and it can get quite annoying but at least it won't change my rating.
So I give the sound a 7/10 rating!
Addictiveness 8/10
I have to admit, I have to give the rating a good rating and here's why. The battling mechanic of Sonic Battle is quite interesting because it is different from most fighting games. Meaning that you could play it lots of times. Also, there is multiplayer so that you can play with people who has a GBA. I could explain more about the addictiveness, but I'll save it for the depth anyway.
Story 7/10
The story is quite interesting for a Sonic game. Although most Sonic games are like this- Dr. Robotnik or Dr. Eggman is going to take over the world while using the chaos emeralds so who's going to save the world? Sonic the Hedgehog! However this story is quite different so I'm going to tell the introduction of the story.
On the start of the story, Dr. Eggman sees a Gizoid (A Old Robot) who stole a chaos emerald, but Dr.Eggman uses it's data to create a robot that does what he says, so he throws the Gizoid in Emerald Beach. Soon, Sonic saw the Gizoid while he's being bored and the Gizoid suddenly moved. Unfortunately, the Gizoid but Sonic goes to Tail's to help the Gizoid. However, Sonic sees Shadow before he goes to Tail's so he defeated him and sees Tails.
Anyway I don't want to spoil the whole game so if you wan't to find out, play the game! So I give the story a 7/10.
Depth 7/10
Now let's talk about the depth. Some of the things for the depth section will be used for the addictiveness section okay. You basically have story mode, in which you experience the story of the game and get to play the fighting experience on the game. You also have battle mode in which you can battle with additional 3 players with computers or people who owns a GBA console. You have challenge mode in which you face challenges with the character you choose. You can train in order to hone your skills. Finally, you can try mini games if you don't wan't to battle. Anyway in the story mode, you can get battle points. Those battle points can be used in order to power up Emerl, the Gizoid. That way you can give him character skills.
So I give the depth a 7/10 rating.
Difficulty 8/10
*sigh* The difficulty. The difficulty is quite hard for a fighting game. So, the game starts easy, right? So, the game can get harder as you progress. Well not really. Sometimes, the game will put you to unfair fight like 1v2 or 1v3 and the game even puts you to a fair fight but the opponents can be hard! Also, sometimes there are fights that you have to face the same opponent(s) twice and it can be quite tedious. Sometimes, after that, the game is just quite easy.
So I give it a 8/10.
Overall 7.3/10
I give the overall a 7.3/10 rating. This game is quite good for the GBA and you should probably too. Anyway if you haven't play the game, go play it!

Rka0917 reviews Sonic Battle GBA   rka0917
Sonic Battle is a fighting game on GBA envolving sonic characters(duh)...and a really bad one!
The story involves Sonic finding a robot on Emerald Beach with he later names Emerl. This robot is no ordinary robot since this robot can copy fighting abilities from other people by either fighting them or watching him/her fight and is tracking down chaos emeralds since it gets energy from them. Dr. Eggman uses his forces to try to track down Emerl and use him to find the chaos emeralds...
As long as the story goes it´s pretty ok for a sonic game and you get to play different story modes with different characters and their perspective on the whole story...
The only complaint about the story is... Eggman had Emerl in the first place! The first thing you see is him throwing the robot on the beach because he didn´t respond to an order! If he´s supposed to have an IQ of 300, he would probably check if the robot is working propetly! Which he didn´t since Tails fixed it later!!!
The gameplay is what really pisses me off.You can play either as a Sonic character or as Emerl, depending on the situation. You choose three special attacks before every fight and then enter a awkard 3D stage that sometimes confuses you. My big problem was that in every fight, you are just gonna spam the same attacks over and over since that is probably the only good strategy that actually works...you´ll be pressing the B button all the time even if the game introduces other moves. The enemies are really cheap to, if they ever hit you they will about 50% of the times, kill you in one combo! There´s even enemies who explode when they die and you will have no time to escape so 50-65% of your health will dissapear in one second.
Another thing in Sonic Battle is customizing Emerl with skills he obtaines from fights. The problem there is that you need skill points, which you never have enough of since it takes a really long time to earn that many! The other big problem is that you always get the same skill over and over! You´ll have like x5 of something you don´t even need!
The game also offers a challenge mode and mini-games which you can play with other people(which i can´t do on vizzed), but i never bothered to check them because i got so bored with the story mode that i didn´t care!
If they tried a 2D plain instead of the 3D plane, this game would have probably been a lot more intresting and the fighting would be much more developedand it would be a lot simpler.

Sonic Battle - A Decent Sonic Game for the GBA   KidSonic
Sonic Battle Review
Overall: 6.5
The game is pretty good, but thanks to poor challenge and complexity, the overall rating is considerably less than excellent.
Graphics: 9
For a GameBoy Advance game, the imagery is pretty good, but the precise reason for such a high rating here is the animations. Spin dashes, explosions, movements... All-in-all, excellent animations this game presents, especially for a battle and / or arena style handheld console game!
Sound: 8
Sound in a GBA game - or any handheld console game - is nearly impossible to judge thoroughly, since almost all games of handheld consoles have very poor audio. Because of this, I have little choice but to rate this a rather high amount.
Addictiveness: 7
The reason for a somewhat-average rating here is due to the fact of little variety in options to travel through. However, over long periods of time, I would go back and play the game, due to fun battling overall.
Story: 8
This rating is due to obvious reasons: the story is rather intriguing, as there is good thought to it - different cities, several playable characters, unique playable versions of characters (such as changing the moves).
Depth: 5
As stated above (on Addictiveness), little variety is introduced over than changing the character fighting style. There is one way to play: fighting. Sure the maps are accessible during story but only for mission and location select.
Difficulty: 2
A rather drastic rating for this, but it is understandable, as the game is easily conquered. Get the right moves in and, boom, you're winning. Strategies have little to no meaning or importance in this game, so all you need to do ... is attack the enemy(s).
I thank you all for reading my review for Sonic Battle. I hope you liked my review and
I hope you will read my future reviews. I wish you all Godspeed in your journeys of gaming!

Sonic Battle...   dekker101
OK here is a review on Sonic battle... like really "Sonic Battle" could they have come up with a better name. Any way this is a Fighting game you enter stages and walk on 3D places in a 2d world like Doom but in this game its really bad like if go behind a block then some one could beat you up and you would not know so yeah your getting to what i am saying here.... right, i am saying this game is B...A....D yes this game is bad. the game has ok graphics but thats not that big of a surprise what was is how complex this game was your robot thing guy collects moves from people and show there stats you can equip these so its like getting armor a weapons well other then that this game is bad the sounds were good and the voices where stupid but understandable but the music for this game is horrible this high pitch noise just keeps playing i don't know if its a guitar or any thing it just sounds like some guy is screaming into a mike. the game feel to this game is boring it looks fun but all it is pressing the B button over and over and over again so yeah it gets repetitive and boring and no fun at all well the story is more then this but well doc egg or mister Robotnick made a robot that learns people moves so he was suppose to get sonics move and become just like sonic but they...i guess made friends with it and now they have to go on a quest or some thing together(you can tell i never beat the full game) i know kinda stupid but not that stupid. this game has ok amount to offer but theres not much to say so yeah. it may look Difficult but all it is just jumping and pressing the B button yeah this game gets boring. sorry for this being kinda short but theres not much to tell well play the game just to see how boring it really is i would give a one but you got to give credit for some things OTHER THEN THE MUSIC!!! ok play or don't ok well thats all P.S. I can't get that music out of my head!!! UGH!!!.......this game sucks....

Imposibly prefect game   Shadow_The_Worm
I think: this game is a piece of cake! It does have Training Mode and Capture Style. Also it does have prefect graphics, sounds, etc! Only Rouge Story is worse than other stories. The most prefect story is Emerl Story  And through everything I can beat every user's Emerl by my strategy and my power! But of course the most bad thing is other' disappear from this game and THUNDER HITS from CPUS! But I still play it and want to tell every good user about this game! I am gonna to play this forever, whatether other think about this game!
