Shaman King - Legacy of the Spirits - Soaring Hawk Review by: Deadend136 - 5.5/10
Soaring Hawk
This game is a very good game which I have enjoyed playing a
few times. It is technically an RPG game but the game itself is very short and
you do not really need to level up your team over the lv.35 each mark in order
to beat the game. So the story is how you are a shaman and how you go around in
order to become the best shaman by beating other shamans and enemies. You run
into different allies and foes all throughout the game and you are able to fuse
different team members together to become stronger. So let’s begin the break
down!
Graphics and Sound- Rate 3
Not much I can say about the graphics and sound quality
except that they are below average. So if you are the type of gamer who likes
listening to the game soundtracks and expect decent graphics I would not play
this game. The game style and set up for battles is a cheap knock off of the
Pokémon games and the story line is almost a complete knock off as well. The
only big graphics plus there is in this game is the fact that you could capture
so many different spirits and could fuse them to make cool spirits that have
pretty interesting sprites. As Shaman King fan I must say this game
disappointed me for how they put it together. I did enjoy this game but replay
value is pretty low just because of the style they chose to go with and how
short the game itself actually is.
Addictiveness:6
Alright I will bite this game can be a little addicting and
you might want to play this game again. The game does not offer a large depth
or big maps but the game play itself can be a lot of fun especially if you
enjoy the Pokémon battling style since it is a cheap knock off. The
addictiveness is a little better than average just for the fact that gamers who
play this game will not necessarily hate it, the game will only go on the “could
have been better but I might play it again” list as gamers we all have.
Story and Depth- Rate 4
The story as I said in the summary is how you are a shaman
and how you go around in order to become the best shaman by beating other
shamans and enemies. Of course there is a tournament about it and different
quests you go on but the story is just a shaman meeting allies and battling
enemies in order to become the strongest. The maps are very small and you do
not really get to explore much in this game and again as a fan of the manga and
anime series I am disappointed. The depth may be under average but you can
explore different areas even though they are small and not very interesting for
the most part.
Difficulty- Rate 4
Yes that is right difficulty is a little lower than average.
Some of the puzzles will be tricky without a strategy guide and some boss
battles you will have to tackle a few times to beat but for the most part it is
actually a very low difficulty. You can train your team each up to lv.100 but
to really beat the game and the final boss you only really need your team to all
be about lv.32-35.Also the fact that you could catch numerous ghosts and fuse
them with each other to make very strong team members whenever you want makes
this game a joke.
I hope you all enjoyed my review and I look forward to all
the feedback!
