The 1st commercially successful video game gamerforlifefor..
Pong was one of the 1st video games ever made. While it wasn't THE very 1st one, it became the 1st video game to become commercially successful. Pong is a big reason why the gaming industry has become so popular and huge so I'll always have a major amount of respect for the game. However, I'm not going to let this sentiment effect my review. I'm going to give a fair and honest review, so without further ado, I'm going to start my Pong review!
Graphics: 7/10 With Pong being one of the first video games to be made, there weren't high standards for graphics. Basically the game has a dot which is the ball and a line on both sides of the screen, which are paddles, a bunch of lines in the middle of the screen, and on each side of the screen, there's a number telling you how many points you have. The lines, numbers, and dots are white, and the rest of the screen is black. Since there weren't very many other games around at the time to compare it to, I've decided to give the graphics a 7.
Sound: 5/10 The only sound that comes from the game are the bloops and bleeps that occur when the dot hits your paddle or the invisible wall. That's the only sound that comes from the game, then again, arcade games were still very new so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Since the sound that the game makes doesn't sound annoying at all, I'm giving the sound a 5.
Addictiveness: 8/10 Pong's biggest strength would definitely have to be it's replayability. Wanting to beat your opponent in a game of video game table tennis will make you want to come back for more. Since this game has a good amount of replayability, I'm giving the addictiveness an 8.
Story: N/A Pong doesn't have a story, what did you expect, it was one of the 1st video games ever made. Since this game doesn't have a story, I'm leaving this category blank.
Depth: 1/10 Pong has very little depth. All you do is try to be the 1st person to get 11 points. If you do that, you win. That's all there is too it. I could go easy on the depth score since this game is so old, but I've decided I'm not going to do that. Instead, I'm giving the depth a 1.
Difficulty: 7/10 Just thinking about it, you wouldn't think that a game that only involves trying to hit the ball (or in this case the dot) in the goal would be very hard, but it can actually be difficult to hit the ball because the paddle can be tough to control. You may want to move the paddle a little bit, but then it moves farther than you intended. Since this can make the game tough, I'm giving the difficulty a 7.
Overall Score: 7/10 Pong is a huge reason the gaming industry is where it is today. It's a very addicting game that everyone should play at least once in their lifetime. My overall score for Pong is 7.

Pong Dude. yoshirulez!
Pong is one of my favorite games ever. Sure the graphics aren't all that and a bag of Potato crisps but.. Hey, As long as everything else is good what can you complain about? Sure there isn't any music. but hey! Atleast it's rather quiet aside from blipping and blooping. It's simple And fun, Yet very challenging. Why complicate things? Hours of enjoyment Shall come of this. My brother is like "Pong is so simple. theres practically no game!" But One must see The bright side to this game. Imagine how long the creator spend coding each little bit of it. How much time he sacrificed for The game. It may not seem like it, But pong is beautiful creation.
Graphics:6. It's not bad. It's actually pretty good. I've seen some Nintendo DS games that are really pixely and blury. That is one thing you can say good about the graphics, The picture looks clean. Easy on the eyes. And downright enjoyable.
Story:BLANK. Sorry folks. Unfortunately this has no story. And i dont see how they could have added a story to it.
Depth:2. You get to bounce a pixel across a screen. Not much to offer.
Difficulty:10. I haven't won a game yet. And I've been playing for weeks. I feel that this may be harder than anything I've ever played. Harder than Majora's mask. You give me a game and I'll beat it in At least a week. And i cant do that with this one. If someone manages to beat it. Then They either hacked it, Or is Absurdely good at old videogames.
Sound:3. Bliping and blooping... Sounds good to me. I like simple sound affects. Plus they're unique. This is the first game with bliping and blooping i think. I think other people enjoy Bliping and blooping.
Music:BLANK ..So sad.. There is no music.. If they did have music it would complete the came perfectly.
Addictiveness:10. Still can't stop playing it. It's so fun. you'll play it forever and ever. and if you manage to beat one game... you'll beat it again! Super addictive, Super high replay value! I'll probably still be playing this when i hit 30 Years old! And when i get married! and at work and while skydiving...Wait. nevermind.
So to sum it up, Pong is highly underrated. its a great masterpeice. i have fun with it and i hope you do too.

Pong. What started Video Gaming PixelBrick
So this'll be a short review. This, my friends, is Pong. Being the first video game, Pong was released as an arcade game in 1972. I know you guys think the Atari 2600 was the first to come, but no. Twas Pong that was first. To just say this, this game barely offers anything. I mean, this was created in 1972, so I guess I can't blame them. But.....let the review begin. (Don't ask why I decided to review this game...well I just decided to make a short review to see what happens)Story: 0/10This is Pong. There is no story here. In the olden days, the story line to video games weren't that great, but this was five years before the Atari 2600, so no story here, unfortunately. There's really nothing to say here, so I guess we'll move on to the next category. Graphics: 1/10The graphics in this game are pretty explanatory. As seen in the pictures for the title above, it's basically a black screen with white lines. This is pretty much all there is to it. It's weird how in just five years, the graphics could get so advanced. I'm not saying the Atari 2600 had advanced graphics, I'm just saying that compared to Pong, Atari games are stunning like a field of roses. We're off to a GREAT start. These ratings I'm giving aren't very good if I do say so myself. Sound: 8/10I know it may sound weird that I rated sound an eight. But I actually like the sound effect that the game makes when the ball hits one of the white lines. It sounds pretty nostalgic. But however this is the only sound effect in the entire game. And I'm making it sound like this is like Banjo Kazooie (Big game to explore). There isn't really much more to say here about this...Replay-ability: 6/10Okay, I can admit that this game is kinda addicting. It gets boring most of the time to play, but when you play it at first, it doesn't seem so bad. It's not great, but it's not bad. It's an okay game. Sometimes it's REALLY addicting, but not really that often does that happen. Again, nothing really much to say here.Depth: 3/10Normally this is the longest category in all of my reviews, but now I can't really say much. I mean, it's Pong we're talking about. There isn't much depth to this 'world of Pong.' There's just a couple black lines, and you hit a ball back and forth. That is all there is to this game. I'm dead serious. Well, let's get to the last two categories for this short review.Difficulty: 8/10Now, this game can be kinda difficult at first glance. If you're playing with a keyboard, it can be tricky. If you're playing with a Logitech controller, it can still be hard. If you're playing with an Atari controller or Nintendo Entertainment System controller, it's pretty easy. Funny because those two consoles came out around the age of Pong. If you play it a little while, the game will actually be pretty easy. Of course, arcade games are never easy. :(Overall: 4/10Yeah, this game isn't all that great. I wouldn't rate it a zero or a one, but this game is still fun to play if you're bored. It may have godawful graphics, and just be balancing a ball, but it can still be a little bit of fun at first glance. Thank you guys for reading this review for the arcade game of Pong. I know it's sad that I didn't make a 1,000 word long review, but this is PONG. And I also decided to do this today for the fun of it. Farewell, reader!
