Pokemon Rumble Review: A Great WiiWare Game   sonic3321
The Wii Shop...other than Virtual Console, there really wasn't necessarily anything interesting to use Wii Points on. Then, I saw it...a demo for a certain game..."Pokemon Rumble". I download it, guiding Mario to the coins while the game downloads. I boot it up and play. It is amazing! I HAVE to get the full version! Now that I have told you my experience, let's get to the review.
Graphics: 7
For a WiiWare game, the graphics are pretty good. The premise is that the Pokemon are metal toys(not plastic, as I once thought). The Pokemon look alright.
Sound: 5
The music for the game is pretty good Each area has a different theme and they sound alright. However, it's hard to enjoy the stage music because of the battle theme (I have experience with this as someone who enjoyed Sonic Unleashed).
Addictive: 10
This game is extremely addicting! Though the premise is simple, it is done very well.
Story: 6
The story is pretty basic, raise a team of champions to take on the Battle Royale and prove that you are the very best like no one ever was.
Depth: 4
The game is pretty small. There are only pokemon from Generations 1 and 4, which is weird because some Gen 4 Pokemon evolve from Pokemon from Gen 2. Also, the game boils down to:
1. Go to area
2. Fight everything
3. Pray that you can make the enemy wobble so you can knock it down and recruit it
Difficulty: 7
The game can be difficult. However, it really doesn't get difficult until EX Mode, which is unlocked after clearing the main story. Your main strategy is to use a Pokemon that has ranged attacks, or spamming a swiping attack that creates a sort of barrier in front of your Pokemon.
Overall: 9.5
This game is really, really good. Unfortunately, there isn't really a way to get this game unless you have a Wii with it already on it. Of course, you can sail the high seas (That is your choice to make.) The thing about this is that there is NO other way to get this game. The Wii Shop closed a while back and there is no other legitimate way to play it.

Get ready to rumble!   FaithFighter
Pokemon rumble is the kind of pokemon game that I can really get into. Why? Because for the first time ever, pokemon had the foresight to actually make something different! This pokemon is not like the others in the battle style. It's pure action, through and through. My only thing against it is that you cannot level up your pokemon. You can only get more and more powerful pokes and release the weaker ones. Personally, I am not sure that is the best message a game could possibly send, if you know what I mean. But as far as everything else goes, this game was awesome!
Graphics: 9
For the first time ever, you get to walk around as a 3d pokemon in a fully 3d world. You actually get to see the effects of your attack instead of having to wait for the battle scenes and all that good stuff. Unlike most games, this game uses toys instead of real pokemon, and the graphics show that. I also enjoy how they made the environments look almost real, yet you could still tell you were just in a toy battle arena.
Sound: 9
The sound for this game is outstanding. I absolutely love the fact that they kept the real pokemon cries in the game. The music is good as always. I especially enjoy the battle with the evil wonder key toy bosses. They have a really great, ominous sounding theme. The sounds of your attacks and that of other pokemon are also very well done.

Addictiveness: 9
This game is ultra addictive to me. I shall tell you the extent. I had the free demo version, and I played it as much as I could. I realized the game would end if I collected a level 100 pokemon or higher. So I played through all but one are without collecting a level 100 I spent hours cheating the demo because I kept porting back to the terminal so the game would not end on me when I would accidentally collect a pokemon too high. (Which is very easy to do by the way!) So yeah, highly addicting. For the first time, you can actually move around as any pokemon that you find and battle against other pokemon. Unlike in some other games, you are not limited to 6 pokemon on a team! But when you get to the Battle Royale, you are not allowed to switch your pokemon, unless you faint. It's just so much fun being able to collect every Pokemon that you can see and you can even customize your pokemon to a degree by training him in the abilities you want him to have. Of course, this could take a lot of "poke" the game's currency. As you have to pay to have the wheel spun to see if you want that ability or not. Just another neat addition to this game.
Story: 9
Wow! It's actually different from the other pokemon stories! You start with a ratatta who's trying to break into the battle royale. Of course, he is not very strong, and despite the player's best efforts, will lose. But as you go along in the game searching for stronger partners, you begin to come across Dark Poke Toys, pokemon toys that are infected by a dark key! Ultimately, your goal is to hit the battle royale, but you never know just what might happen in the mean time!
Depth: 9
There are 6 different areas, I believe plus the battle royale. So the game has a good bit to offer. And of course, what would pokemon be if you could not play it with other people.  The game allows you to take screen shots and save them to an sd card, and even save pokemon in your wii remote (that's pretty cool!) And of course, there is a multiplayer mode, so the fun never ends!
Difficulty: 5
I gave it a 5 basically because the bosses are waaaaayyyy too easy. You pretty much can just stand there and beat the living daylights out of them, normally. But there is a decent challenge getting through some of the areas, especially if you try it with lower level pokemon. Basically, this game's difficulty can be altered. As the competition gets tougher, and you stay a certain level behind, you got yourself a tough game!
Overall: 8.2
Basically, my only disappointment in this game is that the bosses are too easy. Everything else is fantastic though. I absolutely love this game, and have not got tired of it yet...unlike other pokemon games, that I have played.

Pokemon rumble review for wiiware!   Stevie 764
Review of the wiiware game called Pokémon Rumble, available for 1500 wii points, AKA $15 USD.
How to play:
You play as a toy pokemon named rattata that squished himself through the open battle royale door gap, and enters it. After he jumps onto the trampoline, that is when you take control. The controls are:
Wii controls:
D-pad = move character around, move the cursor while making a selection.
A button = open up list of pokemon you have, press again to close the list.
1 button = (while choosing a option) cancel the selection. (battling) Attack #1.
2 button = (while selecting a pokemon) confirm pokemon to use. (while releasing a pokemon) check off the pokemon you want to release, press it again to uncheck the pokemon. (battling) Attack #2.
- button = (while selecting a pokemon) search for different types of pokemon.
+ button = pause game, press again to unpause.
GameCube controls:
Control stick = move character around, move the cursor while making a selection.
B button = open up list of pokemon you have, press again to close the list.
1 button = (while choosing a option) cancel the selection. (battling) Attack #1.
A button = (while selecting a pokemon) confirm pokemon to use. (while releasing a pokemon) check off the pokemon you want to release, press it again to uncheck the pokemon. (battling) Attack #2.
Y button = (while selecting a pokemon) search for different types of pokemon.
Start button = pause game, press again to unpause.
I don't know the classic controller controls, it is explained in the manual of the game.
Continuing the how to play: When rattata jumps onto the trampoline, you start controlling the pokemon and it is yours to control. You jump onto the trampoline, and Battle Royale time! It is impossible to win, so you will lose in a few seconds. A trampoline to the "Silent Forest" stage appears, and you can battle pokemon there. After clearing the stage and the boss, the trampolines to the Windy Prairie, Fiery Furnace, Eternal Tower, Rocky Cave, and Bright Beach stages will open. You have to find pokemon to tip over, when you tip one over, touch the tiped over pokemon to befriend it. You can then use it, find a very strong pokemon to open up the battle royale gate. You start in the C rank, when you beat the battle royale, the trampoline to the B rank opens, you keep doing this until the S rank. There is way too much to explain here, so I will start up the review.
Graphics - 10
It is pretty nice to see graphics like this on a new console like the wii, but don't the pokemon look slightly weird than they normally look? It looks like there maybe polygon versions, maybe? I do like the graphics, they completely fit with the original pokemon, I have to give the graphics a 10.
Sound - 10
The music in this game is good, most of the music is fun to listen to, and the sounds are really good. If you need to listen to some music, I recommend this game. I give the sounds a 10.
Addictiveness - 9
It is pretty addicting, if you play this for the first time, you won't understand, but after a while, it gets really addicting. The game is rated "E 10+ with mild cartoon violence" according to the ESRB. I give the addicting rating a 9.
Story - 8
The story of the game shows a toy pokemon cranked up by a wonder key which makes the toy pokemon start moving. Every pokemon strives to win the battle royale, (the champion) they battle each other to win the royale.
Rattata notices a gap in the huge door to the battle royale, and he sqeezes himself through, and challenges the battle royale. Nice story, I give it a 8.
Depth - 10
It is nice to see a long game, the biggest problem is that I would normally give the game a 6, but I found out that the game loops twice, the first time for the difficult mode, and again for the special EX mode. Why loop the game twice? I hate stuff that repeats itself in a game again and again and again. Other than that, I give the depth a 10 due to game looping.
Difficulty - 7
The game is a little easy at the start, but later in the game, you need to practice, learn moves, and battle at your hardest. The difficulty pushes itself up a medium sized chunk every time you advance further. I give the difficulty a 7.
Overall - 9.5
I do like pokemon games, but why put pikachu in there? I do hate pikachu, a LOT! The game is great, it has great music + sound, great graphics, a balanced difficulty, huge replay value, and tons more. It gets me to the point where I start to like battle games, I don't play any RPG games other than pokemon, but hey, I recommend this game if you have a wii points card, spend it on this game.
This has been a Stevie 764 review, thanks for reading the review, and I hope you check out some of my other reviews. ;)
