Candyland can when it mixes it with love and makes the world taste good   classgame
Well I think we all know it was going to come to this one day, reviewing a board game for PC, might as well start with something simple like Candyland, however the playing has not been made public yet, that won't happen unless I forget to have a Nancy Drew playing available
Gameplay and Story: The Candy King has been kidnapped…..by who? They never even say, (hell we don’t see him in a cage or anything when we do get to the end of the board everyone is meeting you like they did in the intro of the game we don’t even get a reveal of who did it) well what we do know is that it wasn’t the nasty licorice dude that always looks menacing on the game boards (no seriously in this game we trot across the game board and we can visit all the individual characters, but we don’t owe them favours or anything we just do stuff with them….where’s the fun in that? And oh by the way it’s established that Princess Lolly is actually the Candy King’s daughter…I guess it makes sense so what does that make the ice cream queen?) Mr Mint is the referee in this game
Graphics: I do like the graphics thought alot there are quick time movies for when we move around the game board so that’s kind of worthwhile, since this is a land full of candy of course it’s going to be rather colourful
Soundtrack: The song in the intro is adorably catchy but the rest of it is kind of unmemorable like, after I was done playing I didn’t remember a thing about it nor did it re-enter my head at unnecessary times. The voice acting is pretty good though they at least fit the characters
Depth: Oy this game can go by really quickly but this also depends on how much time you spend in certain areas of the game board, if you want something quick this is the game for you but if you don’t want to be board er Bored then I suggest something else. I had to do two playings, because it would have been too short to enjoy, I mean if we had to do a favour for the people of Candyland then maybe I would have enjoyed it a little bit more
Addictive: If I was a younger age I’ll bet this could have been addictive to me, but the copy I have is one of those games you got in a cereal box but I got it at a second hand store…..god I miss those days I hate how technology evolved
Difficulty: You’re kidding me right? This is Candyland this is the easiest board game ever you get a color tile you land on it, you hit sticky spot you lose a turn until you get a tablet of the same color you landed on and in the rare case you get a rainbow bridge you take it, the only thing that would make things difficult is if you play this on a computer that’s missing something to make it work properly
Post review follow up: Why hasn’t Mouse Trap gotten the PC game treatment, the type of games that would have been in peoples cereal boxes in the early 2000s that would give kids an excuse to buy cereal and get a free PC game, hell why hasn’t it gotten different versions of the game I’ve seen games like Uno and Monopoly get different versions that have different rules and yet Candyland keeps remaining the same come on Hasbro LIVE A LITTLE
Don't get me wrong I think this game is good but it gets a low rating because of how quick this game can be finished, and the loose plot thread of who abducted King Candy
