Apparently, I'm the only Pole who registered to this site. Anyway, I should immediately bring awareness to you all to the fact that the Polish policy nowadays is terrible in every sense of the word. I am specifically talking about the Law and Justice "party". I specially put the word party in quotes, because the members of the "party" are all awful, especially A. Duda, who is apparently the country's President, since the "party" won the 2015 election. Not to mention our Prime Minister B. Szydlo who is always telling lies about Poland being in a great condition, while all it is is a step back to the communist times from back then. Recently, Duda has released new plans for the Act that most people have considered them to be unconstitutional. Also, there are way too many people who are supporting this "party". I forgot to mention the Leader of the "party" J. Kaczynski, who his character is also pretty horrible. He constantly mentions the death of his brother from the Smolensk tragedy, which is celebrated every month (not year, MONTH.). In conclusion, this "party" is unsalvageable, and I wish that the Civic Platform or any other party would win the next election, if not, then we are all screwed.

Czesc, jak sie masz.(Hope its spelled right. That's about all the Polish I know my grandmother spoke it and about three other languages.)

My family came to America from Poland before and some after world war two. I know their last names were Wojtkowsi and they immigrated to Pennsylvania. I don't know much about the country or the culture but I have done some reading recently and from I have read Poland seems to be slipping into an authoritarian government. Also read about a man protesting by setting himself on fire because he thought Poland was slipping back into communism. Sounds like things are becoming complicated over there and I am curious to hear more about it from you.

Well...That's actually true. The situation in my country is how it is. (Yup, I'm polish too.)  But all I can do, is finish my school years and get out of here.

@Tama10: Glad you at least agree on that one, never expected a Pole to answer by the way.
Here's an another one for you: Recently, that is during the Polish Independence Day, the National Radical Camp made up some racist signs like "WHITE EUROPE" and such. Some people are becoming really racist thanks to them. That is so horrible in every feasible way. They even don't want refugees to be in the country also.

Well I am in the USA. However I try to keep up with what is going on in the rest of the world. I know last week or two there was a major protest in the country of Poland. It showed a lot of people taking the streets. It also mentioned how corrupt Polish leaders where. It looks like Poland is about to be in a political maybe constitutional crisis.

Sadly I think the same thing is on the verge of happening here in the states. Both parties the Democrat and Republican parties are so corrupt. A lot of times they make up laws that benefit nobody but themselves and a lot of times its to stick it to the other party. Both parties do it. But Both parties want to chip away at the Constitution. My country is so divided and full of hate right now. I'm concerned pretty soon the USA is going to reach a breaking point

Well...Media don't tell everything about the situation. Like for example that : normal people's life becomes harder and harder. No one knows what will they (political party) come up with next.
