Take 2. If the original post reappears, ignore these words. Note 1: I want to let it be known that I will not let the infamous Orlando shooting affect the score or the comments I give to this game as this game was already released before the incident even occurred otherwise, I would have bashed this game for being in poor taste. Note 2: I wrote this review for the PC version but that game data is not on this site. OVERVIEW You are a local citizen who is trying his hardest to get some shuteye [I don't know if the word s-l-e-e-p makes the posts go blank in reviews like the walkthroughs, so I used shuteye as a GRAPHICS - A- The game is similar to Hotline Miami as far as graphics are concerned with the same style of cutscenes and User Interfaces for the most part. The characters you play as well as the victims are small and sometimes hard to make out but you are killing them all anyway. The stages have wonderful colors that draw people in such as the forest, the dance club, and the ship. The people you kill all suffer brutal deaths whether quickly by your hand or slow death via being poisoned. Some are even ripped to bloody shreds by objects nearby. SOUND/MUSIC - S- A+ is too low of a score to give to this game for the music. It is the best part of the game. The only thing that keeps this score from being a straight S is the many hours you have to listen to the same track over and over because you are guaranteed to be dying a lot in this game trying to get past just one level. Other sounds you can expect to hear are the screams of people who get blown up by exploding stereos and seeing people drop dead in front of them. You will also be hearing emergency alarms from the police who either come to arrest you or bag up dead bodies that get reported to them and also the ambulances who come to take dead bodies away. CONTROLS - B+ The controls takes some getting used to because the biggest difference between life and death is pressing the wrong button in the heat of things. One of the funny controls is the dance button where you do some crazy, silly, and sometimes retarded dance depending on your character. NPCs will either dance with you or insult you before they move away. GAMEPLAY - A+ The object of the game is to kill everyone in the game without being spotted doing the killing or spotted next to a dead body in general. It is all about the art of stealth. The best time to kill someone is when they are snoozing or when others around the potential victims are snoozing. If they do not see it then they cannot report you. Just do not be around the body when someone sees it. Better yet, dump the body in a designated dump spot such as a fire pit or out the window and nobody will do a thing. If fact, you can kill snoozing victims by throwing them into the dump spot without being reported. Environmental elements also play a role in killing people. You can activate some of them to kill unsuspecting victims as they walk by them such as exploding gumball machines and exploding ovens. Beware though that you can also be killed by the same devices you set up. You live by the gun you die by the gun as they say. The people you will have the watch out for besides the police are the bodyguards. While the police's sole purpose is to arrest anyone involved in a murder (when you kill someone, another person can be arrested if someone sees them near the discovered body first), the bodyguards will beat you to death and they target only you. Be sure to take those guys as soon as possible and do it stealthily. The dogs also function the same way but unfortunately, they are invincible even to poison. As you successfully beat the levels, new ones get unlocked and give you the chance to play as other characters if certain conditions were met. In some levels, there is an escape route or two you can use in case you want to avoid getting caught but be careful not to use it while being chased by police or they will send a construction worker who looks a whole lot like Mario from Wrecking Crew to destroy it. To make things worse, he too is invincible even when the room is lit up and flaming hot. No matter where you go, the police have creative ways in trying to apprehend people depending on where the stage takes place (with the exception of the Party Bus where no police show up). They can come in on horseback, helicopter, etc. In some stages, killing the police officer twice will send the FBI after you. They will not arrest you, however, they will beat you to death instead. Oh and I should mention that this game has a whole lot of profanity so if you are easily offended by f-words then play at your own discretion. REPLAYABILITY - A+ This game is highly addictive and very fun to play as you go around killing people in various methods such as knocking them into fire pits or having wild animals rip people apart. Those type of deaths get rid of the bodies instantly. If you can tolerate listening to the same track over and over again then by all means go for it or turn the volume off as stated before, you will keep dying a lot until you manage to pass that level. This is the reason why I gave the difficulty a 10 because it is truly that hard of a game to play because some of these levels are ridiculously hard takes careful planning to get through and despite all that you are almost always guaranteed to make a lot of mental mistakes over and over again until you get it right. OVERALL - A Like I said, this was released before the Orlando shooting incident so I have to no reason to knock it for something that happened post release but even then I still give this game an A rating based on the addictiveness and puzzle solving inducing gameplay because the latter is basically what it feels like while you try to find the right strategy to complete the level. If you are still willing to play this game despite the tragedy then you will definitely enjoy the game. It may have been a buzzkill but at least the Social Justice Warriors are not whining their sorry butts off over the game like they have been doing with other games for relatively mild things like butt slapping in Street Fighter 5 or Overwatch sexy poses.
