The default order of the music in the Video Game Music Room has been greatly improved and now does a better job at prioritizing the best songs first. You can see what is considered the top 100 best songs according to the new formula here:
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/music.php#player1?catid=0&trackid=37

It prioritizes Super Nintendo games at the moment since that was the first system added to the site and for the longest time those songs were getting the majority of the ratings. When filtering based on system though, that's when the results are really great. Here's an example of Sega Genesis
https://www.vizzed.com/videogames/music.php?system=gen

Old formula:
rating (with tie breaker being whichever has more votes)
New formula:
(rating-3)*(votes/5)*10

Having the rating - 3 (where max rating is 5) makes any rating above a 3 considered a positive rating and any rating below a 3 a negative rating which places more emphasis on positive scores. Also with the new formula, the VGMR is a little faster because of it also.

I did something similar with the Retro Game Room and the Video Game Room as you can see here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=98714

The Video Game Music Radio also uses this formula which means that the radio will most likely pick better songs more often.
