So, past month, I kept asking for a thread about Mystic Messenger, and finally, I caved.
So, Mystic Messenger, do you play it? Have you heard of it? Do you even know it?
Just a little backstory on the game, it starts with you downloading this app, and you end up talking to this "Unknown" person. He leads you to an apartment, and when you enter, your phone hacks into a chatroom that belongs to an organization called the RFA. After some talking, the members decide to let you join the organization, and now you're in charge of hosting a party. In the game, you can enter chatrooms, which is where the main storyline is in, and you can send text messages to the characters when they send you a text. You can also email potential guests you can invite to the party. There's two different kinds of currency, hearts and hourglasses. Both can be obtained during the chats, and hourglasses and also be paid for. Hearts are kind of useless tbh, but you can exchange 100 hearts for 1 hourglass. Hourglasses are more useful. They can be used to pay for phone calls, missed chats, or loading saved files.
The game goes by real life time, and one route lasts eleven days. Completing the entire game should take at least 55 days orz You start a route for four days, and based on the answers you pick, from the fifth day onward, you get a specific character's route. So if you want to complete this game, good luck. It takes a while orz
But either way, Mystic Messenger is actually a lot of fun. Despite the label clearly saying it's for girls, anyone can play and enjoy it.
