If you are a sports fan then you have probably been to at least one venue in your life, if not more. Usually the experience will change with each venue and sometimes those experiences aren't all that great.
I want to talk about the bad experiences, venues that you just can't stand, whether it's the design and feel, service, cleanliness, prices, or whatever. For me, for the past 4 years I thought that Yankee Stadium was the worst, thanks to the design and feel along with their food. Today however I was in the Barclays Center for the first time and I finally realized what all those bad reviews were about and how bad this place is.
I have been to hockey and basketball games along with really high up Baseball stadiums, but for some reason, the design of Barclays along with the acoustics caused me to acquire both a fear of heights and a fear of closed spaces. I get to my seat and watch practice for less than 10 seconds before I begin feeling feelings I never felt before.
And it was horrible. I felt bursts of adrenaline for no reason and my eye was twitching. Not to mention the food was more overpriced than other stadiums, the design was bland, and for some reason it was hot. (I did hear that the Islanders want to move because no matter what they do, they can't keep the ice cold.)
What about you? Are any venues that you have been in that are just plain bad?
