I would have got this game on PC. This was the one that was on sale though.
As a fan of the Star Wars Battlefront series, I tried to get this game as SOON as I could to see what DICE made, as I am also a fan of Battlefield. This game was good at first, but then it got kinda bad towards the end.
Graphics: 10 They are the only reason why this game is not getting a 5. The graphics look really good and realistic, everything is so detailed in this game, with the rain drops on some windows on the Endor base stage, to the individual rocks on the ground in Tatooine, The game looks absolutely beautiful, even on console (I am usually a PC gamer but as mentioned, this was the version that was on sale).
Sound: 9 With a soundtrack directed by John Williams, the music is just like the movie and sounds great, and when playing in surround sound it really makes you feel like you are there, in the Star Wars universe. The sound effects are different from Battlefront 2 and sound a little more higher quality. The music can get repetitive though.
Addictiveness: 5 This game is OK compared to other games on the market, It just feels a bit awkward though as it is not Battlefront 2, and you keep being reminded constantly. The game needs more content for its price and I will talk more about it later.
Story: 7 I gave this a higher rating because it's Star Wars and has a huge story behind it, although much of it is not explained in this game, it is that simply you are a solder fighting for your side. That is about it for this game, no campaign. Nothing.
Depth: 4 There is not a lot to do in this game, all it is really is just a couple of high quality maps to play on, and a couple more with DLC (will talk abut later). I tried to find more ways to have fun with this game, but when you look at it closely enough, you soon realize that it is just "another shooting game" and not anywhere NEAR Battlefront 2.
Difficulty: 8 This game's single player mode is too easy and in the multiplayer modes, you are constantly getting sniped with pulse rifles. That explains pretty much 90% of the game right there.
OVERALL: 6.8 I really tried to like this game, I really did. There is one fact that angers me more than all of this and it is the fact that it was PUBLISHED BY EA. That's right, the FULL game is over $100 with the season pass, with waiting many months for a new couple of maps. I wrote this review after the final Rouge One DLC came out as I tried to give it a chance. I would have rather wasted my money on Battlefront 2 Remastered rather than this! The graphics are the only thing that redeem it.
Review on Battlefront 2 coming soon.
