This game was a really good game. It required an expansion pack to work on the Nintendo 64, as it was a bigger game than Ocarina of Time, never less, lets start.
Graphics: 8 The models and textures look actually pretty good for the console. As it uses the expansion pack to play the game because of its size. The game looks more detailed than it's precursor and still somewhat holds up to this day. They are what made up the story and the atmosphere of the game itself and what makes you feel like you are in the game.
Sound: 8 The sound to this game is good. The music is memorable and will keep you playing the game as it is nice to listen to. You have unique songs that change on what day you are on such as when you are in Clock Town and the music and attitudes of the people change. It makes the game just that much better than its precursor. The sound effects are standard for a Zelda game, there is nothing really new other than the sound of the bells in the clock in Clock Town when the time of day changed (even today that sound is spooky) and made the game feel like it was all on you to decide what happens to the town and the rest of the world.
Addictiveness: 7 I would have rated it higher, but it is a fun game, don't get me wrong, but the frame rate is terrible as it is set at around 15-20 frames per second. The 3.D. version has a better frame rate and is the one that you should play, now before anyone gets mad at me saying that I insulted their game, it is still a fun game that you should play to this day. Also, about the frame rate, with an emulator you can put it up to the PC standard of 60 frames per second, but it looks broken at that point. It was designed for 20 frames per second game play and that may be why the programmers made it stuck to 20.
Story: 7 The story starts with Link about a year or two after Ocarina of Time going to the Lost Woods to find Navi, his fairy from the last game, when he meets Skull Kid, an Imp with the desire to have power, and he robs you and steals your Horse, Epona, and turns you into a Deku shrub. The rest of the Story unravels from there and keeps unraveling until the very end. It has so much to it that it would take at least around 4 paragraphs for me to explain (no joke, I tried).
Depth: 8 There is a LOT to do in this game and what is done affects your time while playing the game. It is truly amazing how many side quests and missions there are to do. It is a good game with big dungeons that you can do at your own pace along with traveling in time to do certain events. It is really cool for its time and I have not really seen a game that could do better than this.
Difficulty: 9 This game is fun and all, but I had a hard time playing it, as the game and the dungeons are confusing at times and will make you search the internet in hopes of finding a solution to the puzzle. You will find it out some time, and that is how you can finish it. Trial and error.
OVERALL: 9.1 It is a great game that anyone should have, even if you do not own a Nintendo 64, just have it sitting on your shelf regardless.
