Enter the Matrix Review

I don't think many people know about this game but I could be wrong. This was another childhood game of mine I used to play a lot.

Story 8 out of 10: The story begins with a woman named Niobe captain of the Logos, and Ghost a man who is her first mate, getting a package left in the Matrix by a crew who is a rebel that recently their ship got destroyed sadly. After being pursued and chased by Agents Ghost and Niobe escape from the Matrix with the package safely. Which turns out to be a message warning them that the machines are approaching with an army. Niobe and Ghost are tasked with calling the rest of the ships back to coordinate a defense for the seemly upcoming war in a way.

Graphics 8 out of 10: The graphics is really dark looking expected from the game, and how it has portrayed from the film. This game isn't a happy go like most others with bright colours. No most of the colours and graphics you see is dark or something that are not close to bright colours.

Sound 7 out of 10: They can talk in this game also the same actors from the film can be heard in the game. The music at most times can be very sinister or slightly eerie because of how any agents can be around to try and take you on. The music most of the time is serious so it could be something you might enjoy? Or something you might not enjoy it depends, since things like this are different for everyone in general.

Addictiveness 8 out of 10: its quite addicting because it’s a fighting action game, and who wouldn't want to enjoy beating up some people? In most missions there will be people who stand in your way I like the base simple fight you can do. And I think that is actually the main reason as of why I played the game more often. Because of the many fighting you get to do, as well as other things you can do what you always wanted to try and do from the film.

Difficulty 8 out of 10: To some extent yes, for most or some missions will be difficult to deal with. And when that happens you will get annoyed. The game isn't only about fighting there are other things you have to take with you before entering out from the matrix. Also the agents as the mission gets more hard to do, will become more extremely annoying to deal with so watch out for that.

Depth 7 out of 10: Enter the Matrix is the first video game based on The Matrix film. Its story for the game is based on The Matrix Reloaded film, for those who have seen the movie will know what its about. In the matrix you can control two of the supporting characters from Reloaded, and Revolutions as said before in the story part. There is one named Ghost, but his real name *Anthony Wong* and the other is Niobe, but her real name is *Jada Pinkett-Smith* they members of the same group of rebels as Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo the heroes in the film. Niobe as the Captain of the Logos she has the fastest ship in the rebel fleet. Ghost as her supporter is the ship's first mate who handle other things. In the game you get to choose if you want to play as either Niobe or Ghost. Each of them has a different story plot from each other, and sometimes have a run in to help one another to complete a course of a mission.

Overall 8 out of 10: The game is a really good game to play. If you like action based fighting games or just a fan of the film you should really try it out. My brother recommended this, and at first it was hard to get used to the gameplay. But, then I started to enjoy it a lot mainly because I said to do with the fighting, and whatnot.

I hope you enjoyed reading my review, and I will be back with another one soon. ^-^

Eniitan : Wow, I haven't played this game in a long, long time. I used to play it a lot too back when the PS2 was popular. The game did play a small part in reference to the actual film as it basically followed the untold path of Niobe and Ghost between the first Matrix and Reloaded ( and a certain part of the Animatrix, which is unknown to some people as well ). I believe the game came out just after Reloaded arrived in theaters, which was interesting because they showed a short trailer of Revolutions at the end of the game and like 6 months later Revolutions hit theaters. They may have rushed the production of the movies a bit but I suppose the game fit in pretty well with the films as a whole.

I remember the game being really glitchy on some parts, most of them being hand-to-hand combat. It was really weird and a bit comical on some level, except for that one time my game kept freezing during that airport mission. For the longest time I couldn't get the game to continue past that point and I ended up changing some of the video graphics in the settings and it finally started working right but I think the game was just getting scratched up ( after all I did buy it used :/ ). Anyway, this is another good review you have here

Kruzer : Wow thank you! I never expected you to reply Kruzer, have you been watching me from the shadows to do with my reviews lol? Anyways I am very much appreciated for what you have said here. Its not always often I get new people replying to my reviews. As long as I can help try and get them to play something new that's all that matters. I tend to make reviews out of games that are not too known by a lot of people. So that why most others can try, and play the game. I think you should play the game again when you have the time. See you around on the board as usual.

Eniitan : lol, unfortunately I'm not really the stalking type

The game simply caught my eye because it really is one of those hidden gems that doesn't get talk about as much as it should. And I will definitely play this game in the near future, if I ever perfect the PS2 emulator on my PC.

Kruzer : Ah I see so that's how. I know your no stalker, but I guess you happen to see my reviews often when I post them up. Good thing it caught your eye. And yeah this is one of a hidden gem games. What I mostly review on are those types of games. So in hopes that people take interest to play them, and maybe have them enjoy the game just as much as the popular ones if you understand what I mean. XD

sonicbros : Oh.....is this why you asked this question on my profile? I did say I haven't played it before. I'll look up the game, and then give you my thoughts about it soon. Thanks for the recommendation to try out the game.
