Radium is a game completely unique in how it functions. The game is featured on Steam, but is also designed for mobile devices as well. The premise is very simple. Move the ball through the course to the goal. Sounds easy enough, right? Well, there's always a catch. The way to move the ball is by using two stationary magnetic objects on each side of the screen, and some times you must maneuver through obstacles to do so. Still not interested yet? Well, we'll get you there. On to the review!

Graphics 4/10 -- The graphics for this game are about as basic as they can possibly get. Each level consists of a black background, which specifies the borders of where the ball is able to move around inside. The course to move through is gray, which generally makes up the tubes and chambers in which the ball will pass through. The magnets, ball, and "finish line" ( it's really just a circle you have to get inside ) are all either Green or Yellow, depending on the level. Anytime you activate either of the magnets, a line of the currently used color will tether to the ball showing it's in use. Outside of this, there really is nothing presented visually, other than some of the various obstacles and switches, which fall in to the previous categories in one way or another. Since it fits the style of the game, it gets a 4/10.

Sound 3/10 -- Another area in which the game is lacking heavily. First of all, there is absolutely zero music that plays through out the entire game. Nothing. In a way this may be an upside, as this kind of game is probably better off without, allowing you to listen to whatever music or external audio you so choose. The sound effects are hardly worth mentioning, but here goes. They might as well be completely absent as is the music. You have a few little "boings" from a spring or some thing to signify a boost in momentum, but beyond those extremely simplistic effects, there's nothing special in this department either. The Sound, or lack thereof, gets a 3/10.

Addictiveness 4/10 -- Here's another area where the game struggles greatly. It's really not all that fun to play. You are timed in each level to try and reach the goal as quickly as possible. This is fine in itself, but the times are so unforgiving it makes the game more frustrating than fun. Depending on the level, the magnets used will work in one of two ways. Green indicates that the magnets will pull the ball toward them, while Yellow means they will not only push the ball, but Yellow also means that the gravity of the stage is flipped up-side down, adding another level of difficulty. Some levels will even have you switching colors half way through and back again all within a few short seconds of each other ( or in many cases, it'll take a while because of how it throws you for a loop ). This is one of those games where you will literally have to replay the levels time and time and time again to beat the highest time slot. Again, this is fine in itself, but each time slot you complete per level awards more points, and progressing in the game is based entirely on how many points you have accumulated. See the dilemma? I decided on a 4/10 for Addictiveness, since masochists may find some joy in this.

Story -- N / A

Depth 4/10 -- Another low score? How unsurprising. This game features absolutely nothing outside of the concept of moving the ball to the goal. On the bright side, there are a very large number of courses to go through, totaling well over 100. If you're willing to spend the time trying to complete the game, then it at least offers quite a bit of play time. Sadly, a lot of this time will probably be spent replaying levels over and over trying for a better time. For it's quantity, it gets a 4/10 for Depth.

Difficulty 10/10 -- As I stated before, this is the perfect game for a masochist. The times are extremely unforgiving, forcing you to complete entire levels with absolutely perfect amounts of precision for the top time slot. It forces this kind of precision on you at about level 3, which hardly offers much of a learning curve. Some of the tracks can take over a minute to complete, and with that level of precision required, the game can become unbearably frustrating. To be fair, you do get one point for simply completing the course, and up to 3 depending on your time, but this hardly makes the later levels more easily accessible. The "Yellow" sections of the game are by far the most difficult, since everything from the magnets, to the gravitational direction of the course are completely flipped around. The game can be brutal, earning it a grueling 10/10 for Difficulty.

Overall 4/10 -- This is a game that actually should be over looked by most. It's too difficult to really be enjoyed as a casual time-killer, and doesn't offer enough variety to keep a hard-core gamer satisfied. I'm sure there are those who would find this game an enjoyable experience, but they are almost certainly very few and far between.

Hope you enjoyed the bashing-  I mean, review
