Well ever really failed a test or quiz or homework before?, Now when I say Fail I'm talking less than a 59% on/using  the 10 point grading scale system (meaning anything less then a 60% is a F) . Well I sure have just the other day I took a test which the study guide wasn't posted until the day before the test (because the teacher doesn't check online emails over the weekends and discovered thru emails the students don't have access to the quiz and tests folder) but anyways I completely bombed that test due to that and over working at my job, I didn't really have time to study as hard as i should have.

Anyways I bombed that test with a excellent failing score of 15% !, so my fellow Vizzed users what's the highest or lowest Failing grade you've ever gotten on a test, or quiz or homework etc. ?

15%? That takes a certain skill that is almost like trying to miss every question. Even if it were multiple choice, which I like to call multiple guess, you'd be hitting 20-25% of the questions correctly.

So, really, did you do any kind of work at all during the chapter or unit? Like, even without a study guide, you're going to know at least something that might show up on the test. If it's history, probably knowing a few people and some dates is going to matter. If it's math, maybe knowing how to do the math helps.

Which class was it that you bombed?

Heck, give us some of the questions. I feel like I pay enough attention in real life that I could outdo a 15%, unless it's computer science. I did not do well at that class.

To answer your question, C++ crushed my soul the first month of class. I bombed the class, I had to buckle up the ol' chinstrap, and I dug in and did the extra work and got out alive with a, funny to say, C+ grade. Not bad hitting a 78 or whatever it was, after the first test was like 40%.

Ghostbear1111 : It wasn't multiple choice, all fill in the blank and short answer followed by a diagram of the human cell system and nerve system with no vocabulary box :p and the class was medical terminology 1.

One time I literally got a 0% on a test because I really didn't want to take it. It was 30% of my final grade but I had 4 points extra along with everything else (So, my final grade was gonna be a 10 no matter what) so I just drew Link from LoZ on my math test.

Maguc : Take this up vote "Like" that was just to funny lol, but did your teacher ask you why you drew link on your test instead of answers?

Divine Aurora : Nah he was the one who told me about it, he was like "Yo, just don't disrupt the class and you can do what you want" because we're cool like that (He's a huge nerd, so he actually got a copy of the test to take home).

I think I still have it honestly. I'll look for it and see if I can show you.

I don't always fail, but when I do, I fail with flying colors. =P

0% FTL!! I was lucky that they didn't decide to count that exam at all, since no one else passed it either.

Anyways, good luck and hope you'll have a better time with your next test!

EDIT: Just curious, did any of the other students mention that they didn't have access to the quizzes and tests folder? I've seen cases where the instructor failed to put up something in time and after failing their exams, the students went to the instructor as a group to ask for extra credit projects that they could do to help bring up their grades. Sometimes, the instructors will actually consider it in light of the fact that they were the ones who failed to give the students access to the learning materials/resources.

My entire class made a 0 on a summer reading quiz on Christmas Carol. We were given a page of questions and was told this would be the quiz questions........Well we got the test and none of those questions were on the test and the questions we got were so random and werent related to important points of the story.

I have failed miserably before, but it was basically getting an F. I don't remember what my actual score was, or if I even had an actual score, but all I remember was doing horribly on this one writing prompt. But as for you, I think that title for the thread may be worse...

Fail?

Me? The great ZeeTee? Fail? On something school related?

PFFFFFFFT you're making me laugh. I NEVER fail.

-----

I honestly can't remember a time where I failed something that was important. One time in an online class I got a 65% (which was still failing according to my school) on a test but the teacher just reset that test for me and I got a 90% the next time xp. On Pretests I tend to fail miserably but they're Pretests anyways so I don't count those.

I have failed miserably at times, and sometimes on purpose (everyone has had a dark season, right?) I mostly performed well, but other times I was being a slowpoke and that led to not so good grades.

I remember one exam where I didn't even put my name, leaving it fully blank. I was certain to not pass the course because of things, so I literally gave up on a few subjects to tackle them the following year. Plus, the teacher was the #1 public enemy for the WHOLE class, so more of a reason to ignore her and her exam.

Yuna1000 : Yup every student in the class didn't have access to the folder because they weren't instructors, everyone emailed her but she apparently doesn't check emails regularly, and it wasn't until someone texted her the following day before the test , then she decided to email everyone the download file for the study guide :p and was basically like yeah sorry for not posting the study guide but your all still taking this test (by the way our class meets only one night per week).

I would say about.... 2 times? I'm not perfect I remember one time I couldn't study for one exam properly. I got one E and another which was a D I was really unhappy when I saw that grade. So from then I vouch to myself, and said I would do better and not to fail again. From them I got only A's and B's which I was very proud of. Not everyone is perfect. Its ok to at least fail a few times from then you can perform better. It would be a wake up call to actually make you to try harder not to fail next time around.

I failed pretty much every single one of my Anatomy quizzes and tests. She would teach a basic lesson and then the quiz was some sort of rocket science.

I also fail a lot of math tests. That happens a lot.

Failing certain quizzes/tests in school is actually pretty common for me, to the point I can just laugh it off now. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that I actually don't care anymore.

Vanelan : Is it because he used Your instead of You're?

Anyways, I don't make a habit of failing on a test or anything important because it usually (at least for me) accounts for too large a portion of my overall grade. If I failed a test in Math analysis class during my sophomore year (which I didn't), it was absolutely fatal because tests accounted for 40% of the overall grade and no retakes were allowed. I simply couldn't allow myself to fail at the risk of crippling my grade for the quarter.

Ghostbear1111 :

I know exactly what you mean by C++ being difficult, my C++ teacher had a habit of explaining things in a way that simply made the material too confusing to grasp. It was annoying because when were coding on the computers, the program we used to input our code would tell us exactly where we went wrong and what was preventing our code from running smoothly. The tests were horrible because when we were responding to FRQ's (Free response questions which are basically prompts that ask you to write a program), we had no way of checking our work to see if the program we had written would even run. I remember getting a 64% on my first test because I didn't know if my FRQ code was correctly written or not. With a lot of extra textbook work and practicing extra FRQs, I was able to pass the class with an A--(92%). Perhaps if I had a teacher that explained things in a way that made sense to me, I would've done well throughout the whole year.

Little did I know that AP Java (the class I took the next year) would make C++ look like a joke.

Minuano :

I remember when I took anatomy, I got an A in the class even though it required a ridiculous amount of memorization and flash cards. The fact that my actual anatomy teacher was out of class for half the school year (due to being pregnant) and was replaced by a sub that had no idea what they were doing helped too though XD
