A small gripe, but it's something annoying.

So If you've been eyeballing the forums, or are a moderator of sorts there is something that annoys me.

I know there's bound to be someone with a message saying"Oh it says the thread is closed below the new post on it,   why can't you just read that and move on?"
Well the answer to that question is I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one who clicked on the threads that had that message.

If you take a look at some of the Forums, any forum in general you'll see that the Closed Post's are marked as New.   So I click on it to see what's up and It turns out that I can't reply to the thread.

Again, nothing major important just something really annoying. Closed threads shouldn't be marked as new.

From what I can tell, the "New" notification means there are new posts in that thread since the last time your user ID has posted (and I'm pretty sure viewed) that same thread.

So while it might be a little frustrating, it's there to inform users when new posts have been made, regardless of whether the thread was closed since the new posts. It seems pretty easy enough to see the "Closed" description in any given way of looking through threads.

You could always just click the closed thread and then click "Back" in your browser, and it should never show as new again (though the page will need to be refreshed since going back only shows the copy of the last time you visited that specific page).

yes I have noticed that also and I agree it is annoying once a thread is closed there shouldn't be any new posts label assigned to it and if the site is so cramped for space then all of the older threads that have been closed should just get deleted off of the site or transferred to a different site so that it frees up room for this site to expand as is needed

that is only my opinion though if all of the old threads were deleted rather then moved to a forum that isn't used then the site as a whole might run much more smoothly at least that is what I think might happen though I'm not reallyz sure so don't quote me on it >.>

This is an odd error... Not sure how we could go about fixing it or if it's too big of a problem. Nevertheless there's always room for improvement so I suppose we could see about fixing it

By we I mean david since he knows this stuff but I'm just saying generally this might be fixed sometime if david knows about it
