Have you tried it? What type of oil did you use? What has been your experience/results?

Basically, oil pulling involves swishing oil about in your mouth for 5-20 minutes (20 is ideal but many start out at 5). Usually this is done with raw coconut oil, sesame oil, or sunflower seed oil. There's been a lot of claims made about the benefits online, but dentists agree that it can help for healthier gums and can also remove stains.

I'm using raw coconut oil. It's basically like swishing around cold, buttery mashed potatoes lol which might sound good but not in your mouth for 5+ minutes. I've been able to last 10 minutes but it's taking some practice.

I've done this once or twice. I think I'll try doing it again some more! My gums haven't been feeling too great, and I am always worried about stains. I used raw coconut oil when I did it, and when I will do it.

A user of this : I read you can do it up to 3x per day. My goal is 20 minutes, but so far i've been doing it in 2-10minute cycles (there's no way i'm lasting 20 minutes - stupid gag reflex haha).

It can take several weeks for you to really notice any *major* changes, unless you take daily pictures to compare. Just an fyi.
