NOTE: Due to work and other stuff, this game guide is short. My apologies, folks. Though, the bright side is this one is complete from start to finish. Enjoy! Hello everyone, this is your host Laian coming at you with a brand new game guide, as always. So, to be honest, I never thought I would play this game at some point in my life. I heard lot of things about this game, like it's unforgivable, difficult, crappy... But you know, Laian is used to that kind of stuff. Well, to be fair... I don't know how many neurons I have left inside my brain after playing all these games. Anyway, let's just stop rambling and jump into the game I chose for this month: «Alex Kidd in High Tech World».
PART 1: THE 8 PAGES, ERRR PIECES OF NOTE PAPERS
So yeah, you must get the pieces together back in order to get the complete map required to go to the arcade. B opens the inventory and A is used for interaction with some of the elements around you. In order to go up and down the stairs, press the specific diagonal direction. To interact with objects, press up button in front of an item then press A. Here is where you will find the pieces: 1- The first piece is given by your father, located in the first to the left at the beginning. He will give you a fake piece of paper first so you will have to check your inventory and go back to the game to ask for the first piece of paper. 2- Go to the far east of the 3rd floor and enter the room. Pass the test by answering the following answers «Tokyo», «Vicel», «450», «Athens», «5050», «226», «50», «Lira», «Mozart» and «500» and you'll get the piece of paper. 3- Keep going left, cross the bridge, go down and check the pot to get a miniature ladder. Now, go to the 3rd floor and check the clock next to the room in which you can pass the test. You will fix the clock and get the piece of paper. 4- Pass the test then go see James in his room, in the 4th floor. His room is down the stairs before the bridge. Do not touch the burnt piece of paper or else it's game over. Go call Rockwell by dialing 123-4321 and go meet him in the room next to the stairs leading to the first floor. Take the powder and go back to James' room. Spread the powder on the burnt piece of paper to restore it. 5- Talk to John who lives in the room next to James' after 10 o'clock and then go talk to Barbara in her room located to the 2nd floor, next to the computer room. Go back and talk to John to get the piece of paper. 6- Go to the far east of the 2nd floor and enter the room between 30 to 45 minutes past a hour. You will meet two people. Talk to them three times by going in and leaving the room until they give you the piece of paper. 7- Go to the kitchen in the 1st floor. Check the trash can to get a piece of paper. There's also a cloth in the vase required to get rid of the dirt on the sign at the top of the eastern tower in the castle. You could read a nice Easter Egg 8- Find the servants' room and play their mini-game. Here are the names by order of Once you have all the pieces of the map, go to the far east of 5th floor then go up. Check the vase to get a key and go to the far west of the 4th floor afterwards. Go up and check the safe to get the hand glider. Go back to the long bridge to go to the woods.
PART 2: NINJAS IN THE WOODS! A new gameplay for this part. A is for jump and B for your projectiles. You need to make your way through the woods by killing the ninjas and collecting the coins. Watch out for their projectiles! It's back to the beginning of that part if you are hit by one of these projectiles. Also, no bath in the river or it's the same treatment. The river is a tough part in this level. It requires a certain timing to get rid of these bloody ninjas, though there is a method. Your range is better than theirs so slowly move forward and shoot. As for the ones who jump out of the water, move forward, jump and shoot at the same time. They won't get a chance to hit you with their best shot. Once you reach the signboard, you will enter the town.
PART 3: WELCOME TO CRAZY TOWN In this town, you can talk to NPCs and buy some stuff from the storekeepers your will meet here and there. You need a travel pass to get to the arcade before 5 o'clock. There's a simple way to get it without buying a lot of stuff and eventually get a game over (yeah, that might happen, even in this town). Go to the shrine surrounded by bamboo sticks and pray 100 times. Yes, you heard me! 100 times! Go back and forth 100 bloody times and you will get the travel pass. After getting the travel pass, go talk to the guard at the checkpoint after getting the pass to proceed to the next level. PART 4: THE ROAD TO THE ARCADE Final straight road to the arcade. It's exactly like the second part of the game, a bit longer with new enemies. Make your way to the signboard cautiously by killing the crazed cats, the snakes and the ninjas and you will be able to watch the final cutscene. Congratulations, you beat «Alex Kidd in High Tech World».
