well, sidekicks right now are basically pointless. There is no battle hack and the items in the item shop serve no purpose other than to show who has saved up Viz in order to buy them.

I would love to see a battle hack on the site but I doubt it'll ever happen. With all the retro games and consoles there is little point to it in my opinion.... or at least little point in emphasizing it over other things.

I'm not going to spoil any surprises but I do have plans this spring of re-doing the item shop completely giving it tons more features and that's when the side-kicks will once again be made available. I've got some other big surprises regarding this as well but I'm keeping them a secret for now
