I was just watching Song of the Sea. It's exciting. It was just fantastic, the lighting, animation, characters, story, incredible. Fantasy films can whisk us off to a far-off land and woo us with their settings and intricate stories. I've always been interested in and love film, but this is my favorite genre.  I ask of this question because of my curiosity and interest in the topic. You're free to discuss and share to your heart's content; It actually enlightens me.

What is your favorite Fantasy film and why?  I'm open to your interesting viewpoints. Thanks plenty, my plentiful online chums.

Well, I guess The Hobbit would count as a fantasy film, right? I don't tend to like these kinds of movies, but this one was really well made, all 3 of them. The costumes, setting, everything looked fantastic, there was plenty of comedy, and the effects were stunning.

This is so easy for me. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King is my favorite fantasy movie as well as being my favorite movie of all time. Everything was perfect in that movie. I think if J.R.R. Tolkien was looking down on the movie, he would smile so big. The movie portrayed his vision perfectly.

For me its either The Princess Bride, Spirited Away or How To Train Your Dragon as those 3 stand out more for me. They are really awesome films. But I doubt anyone who has seen the princess bride to check it out for yourselves because its a really funny film it has lots of comedy within it. XD

Does it even need to be asked, obviously it's Lord of the Rings, just the shire theme alone is enough to make me get sappy.

But if you need specifics the best one to me is Return of the King, the story wrap up is so nice, and I love the way the last two movies, but especially this one branch out and follow storyline for different groups.
