I purchased a price guide from
http://videogames.pricecharting.com/ (which is something I use to do ever few months but haven't done so in probably over a year) and used the data to
update a bunch of information on a bunch of games in the VGR and RGR including the price guide info (loose, complete and new prices), date released, UPC, genre (10,000+ games previously missing genre have been
updated) and a few other things that currently don't display such as ebay ID, amazon ID, and pricecharting ID. Any game that had a matching UPC or a matching title to a game on
http://videogames.pricecharting.com/ was
updated (which is why we need to get more UPC data added to games, so that batch updating in the future is more efficient).
The game prices haven't been updating in more than a year ever since Ebay did an
update which caused my scr
ipt to stop retrieving ended listings. For now I'll be buying
updated price guides to get the price guide info
updated every once in a while until I get around to fixing the scr
ipt. It's great to have the prices
updated finally.
While I was at it, I also added 3 new game systems to the VGR which include Vic-20, Vectrex and Commodore VIC-20. I also added the popular toys-to-life which include Skylanders, Disney Infinity and Amiibo. Most of these have prices
updated for them so go ahead and add them to your game collection.
For those who don't know what the game collection feature is, it allows you to keep track of what games you own by adding them to your collection list on Vizzed. The collection then organizes your physical game library, lets you sort through it and most importantly, see the prices of your items and the overall value of your collection. You can see an example of this by looking at my collection here:

EDIT: I just
updated the release date for 6,617 games.
