My life is a hard one. It's not because I am struggling, it's because I hate seeing others struggle. I have many family and friends who seem to get the short end of the stick. My mom is having money issues and is at the verge of losing everything. My brother was kicked out of college, and is living on his own. My roommate at college had to leave to help take care of his sick relative. One of my friends took a nursing exam recently, and she failed. The hard part was that I talked to her the night before and told her that I believed she could do it. I always have faith in my friends, and I feel hurt when they get turned down or disappointed. I was a Boy Scout and I recently became an Eagle Scout. One of my best friends was the one who helped me become a Boy Scout. I didn't know of any troops and he happened to be part of one. But he ran out of time, and could not become an Eagle Scout. Likewise, his brother who I was also friends with, had the same thing happen to him. I made decided that I had to become an Eagle Scout no matter what to kind of "avenge" their misfortune. When a friend is rejected I feel like I have a personal obligation to do something for them. Even if it means pushing myself to finish the race in their name. It may be unnecessary or even immature, but I would feel worse if I didn't do anything. My former girlfriend had a very tough life as a child, and I tried to be a light in her life to build her up. But I got mad at her and accidentally went too far with what I said, and now I feel like I caused more hardship for her. Yet I think I feel more hurt than she is, because it has been months, and I still can't stop wanting to be friends with her again. Because I want to be a person who can cheer people up instead of bringing them down with my stupidity. I have to believe in Heaven, because if I go through my whole life never seeing her again, at least I will be able to express my sorrow up there after the 80 or so years of my life are finished. I can't handle feeling helpless, and knowing that there is nothing I can do to fix the situation other than waiting. I just wish my faith would actually work for once, and a friend would have something good happen to them. It would make me a happier person.

Having faith is a good thing and trying to help others is a good thing, but instead of focusing on those immediately around you, try for a bigger audience.

If you like helping others, try helping animals.  Find an animal shelter near you.  They always need help and they'll be appreciative of the assistance.  Those animals can't help themselves.

Your friend who bombed her nursing exam can't blame anyone else.  For whatever reason, she didn't have the skills to get it done.  Your friend who didn't become an Eagle Scout?  he didn't plan appropriately to do it so it's on him.  For whatever reason, he didn't make the decision to do the things required in the time required.  Those puppies and kittens?  They don't get to pick being abandoned and they need the help.

Lastly, I wouldn't use the word 'avenge.'  Avenge is from a place of anger or aggression.  I do things from joy and love in my heart.  You used the word Heaven, so I'm guessing you're Catholic or Christian or some sort of religion that believes in Jesus.  Jesus said it's a good idea to love one another, not find vengeance for one another.  The things you do should come from a place of love.  Vengeance is anger and hate.

Failure is (unfortunately) an integral part of being human. I often saw this quote: "If you never failed, you never lived." For almost 2 years I was without a job, wasting time most of my day by playing video games. Fortunately, I also had a keen interest for reading so I taught myself economics. I returned to college, graduated and got into internships that have all helped me in a way (although the first one as such was a failure since I was not up to the expectations).

Right now I am still struggling to get a steady income and I find it hard. But as we say in French: As long as there is life, there is hope.

Sounds to me like you're a very caring guy, you're just going about some things in the wrong way.  As Ghostbear stated, vengeance can be destructive.  I'd suggest even trying to do something simply because someone else couldn't do it at the time could be, as well.  I suppose it depends on the situation.  I suggest praying for direction in life, and to find out what God wants you to do.  As James states in James 1:5-6, if you pray for answers and have no doubts, then you'll get an answer.  It may not be the answer you originally wanted, but you will receive one.
