If you haven't been paying much attention to what's been going on around the Star Wars Universe, many theaters around the country are planning on doing all sorts of cool things for those who watch the movies, from free art to marathons and more.

Regal theaters, on December 19th, 26th, and January 2nd and 9th will be giving away free collectible Star Wars art tickets to the first 500 people who see the movie each day in IMAX.

On December 20th and 27th, and January 3rd and 10th, AMC theaters will be giving away free exclusive Star Wars Prints to anyone who sees the movie in IMAX 3D.

There are also dozens of theaters who will be marathoning the entire series on December 17th. In one sitting, the 1st 6 movies will be shown in 2D and then The Force Awakens will be shown in 3D. That's more than 12 hours of Star Wars!

Cool! I need to watch out for it, although such marathons are price giveaways are probably limited to very large cities .

Anyway, the official poster is most intriguing. The "black stormtrooper" is a Jedi? And where the hell is Mark Hamill?! And what about that young woman with the electrical stick? So many questions!

janus : For the most part, it's big cities but there's a few smaller ones thrown around for the marathon. Here's a list of all the cities and theaters that will be having it.
