I just saw the final Spectre trailer and it looks amazing! I always liked James Bond movies to an extent, and Skyfall was the first Bond Movie I saw on my own and I really liked it yet while seeing trailers for Spectre I never really got interested in seeing it, but the new trailer fully persuaded me into seeing it after watching it just once.

The trailer is intense, the way the scenes change along with the music makes it feel so epic.

Is there anyone else who is a Bond fan and plans on seeing the movie or has already seen the movie?

I loved the movie, it wasn't as good as Skyfall but had some great scenes.

The movie made $70 Million in its US weekend release, which is far less than what Skyfall made, but that's still really good for a Bond movie.

I'm going to see this tonight with my Dad. My wife wasn't interested so I figured he would want to go.

Not sure if you have another thread about the movie itself and not the trailer but if I don't find anything by tonight I'll post one myself (possibly with spoilers) so we can talk about it. Assuming you've seen it already.

geeogree : I saw the movie, one of the very first showings too and I could probably just edit this to make it talk about the movie also.

sounds good. So, I went and saw it last night and I loved it. I don't think it is the best James Bond movie ever made but it was totally worth seeing in theatres (most of them are).

I feel like I haven't watched the other movies recently enough because having them sort of rehash a lot of the old villains into the story was a bit confusing. I recognized a lot of faces but it didn't totally make sense. I dislike when there are elements to the story from older movies that I have forgotten because I haven't seen them recently enough.

Still, the movie was really nice to watch. It always looked good even when there were shaky chase scenes being shot.

Not really sure what else I want to say. I'm writing this the morning after so not everything is still clear in my head but I remember liking it overall.

geeogree : I liked how there were some scenes that made you feel like you weren't actually watching a movie bit were instead sitting there with them, or at least that's what IMAX made it feel like. There were two scenes where I completely forgot there was even supposed to be action because I was so into them and those scenes were the first Spectre meeting that Bond broke onto and the scene in the Spectre base when Bond is in the chair.

I also loved how the villian was able to connect all the events of each Craig movie to him.

Yeah. The first shot was a very long continuous shot. It took me a minute to realize it but it was awesome (or it was shot and cut so well that it looked like one continuous shot). At least until Bond started chasing the guy he was after.

I also liked how all the previous villains were connected in the end. It connects all the Daniel Craig bond movies together into a bigger overall series rather than a bunch of individual movies that were good. Now the series is even more interesting.

geeogree : I always knew that there was some sort of continuity, like from Royale to Quantum, but I had no idea that *Probably Spoiler* each of the villians of the previous films were in fact Spectre members.

It sounds as if he specifically planned the events that his henchman did (Silva's stuff in Skyfall) just for the purpose of getting Bond out of the picture without ever having to actually be there.
